77. Ok, so Ben's upset that movie stars have to work harder for theire millions upon millions of dollars they are paid because of the media? Um what? Anyone who is paid that much money should work for it. Oh, poor millionair can't just show up and do a half assed job to get his millions anymore. Oh don't we all feel bad for him? Maybe he should just find another line of work if he's not happy with what he has to do to make his millions and what comes along with the money!

79. So NOW Affleck is suddenly concerned about the glare of publicty . As I vividly recall, in the beginning of his relationship with JHo, the two of them couldn't get ENOUGH of the spotlight. Right after he stole her from her husband, he went through a drastic image makeover specifically to ATTRACT the media. And in one of her ad nausem interviews on The View, when asked about all the publicity surrounding their relationship, JHO said "Well, not ALL of it is initiated by us". In other words, at least SOME WAS initiated by them and their PR team. So, now that his career has gone the way of that car-wreck romance, Affleck is crying about the media glare. Get over it. No one gives a shit about you and your life. And your movies are tanking because you're a boring actor. So enough of your "Woe is me " attitude. Get down off the cross, sweetie, we need the wood.

80. Ben Affleck doesn't want people taking pictures of him? Isn't that Hollywood 101 - be seen, be heard, get photographed = people flock to your new movie. Seems pretty simple - if you don't want publicity go back to obscurity.

85. It is almost sickening to hear over and over again stars complain about the public's curiosity is too much! I'm an actress and maybe Mr. Affleck should try to remember that it is his fans that pay to see his films..and that he's in a business that promotes splashing celebrities lives in magazines...and that fuels the curiosity He could also give up it up and go behind the scenes if he choses! But STOP the whining. The stars are the same people who earn more bucks than the average man trying to support a family on a fraction of what Mr. Affleck makes and for him to complain is a joke...And the fact that he also was on a leash like a puppy for JLO didn't bother him, huh? I have no doubt these overpaid whiney celebrities were aware of the definition of "fame"--the intrusions come with the territory. Yet as up and coming stars, they just couldn't wait for that big break!! Money? Not exactly. They strive to be a household name. We own them now.

A big ditto to Kelly's post above.

Affleck might be laughing all the way to the bank with all his millions but one thing he doesn't have at this point in time is respect from the general public and the media which it seems he's trying to gain by his remarks regarding the invasion of his personal life and his acting. Unfortunately, he set himself up for the scathing remarks in this comment section simply by mentioning his "personal life." If he had left well enough alone and simply talked about his role, I doubt seriously we would be lashing out about him. But, his remarks have opened a can of worms about his past and actually the present. He's in the business of being a celebrity whose private lives are front and center....that's part of the business. However, most celebs tend to avoid their lives being put on display but not Affleck. Sitting in the owner's box at a Red Sox game screams....'look at me, I'm Ben Affleck.' The same goes for his last-year purchases of the infamous Bentley's, motorcycles, pickup truck, purchase of diamonds for the wife priced somewhere in the millions (which of course are always compared to what he bought J-Lo), his and wifey's numerous trips via private jet, the countless trips to Starbuck's with the pregnant wife (evidenced by paparazzi pics at least three times a week...perhaps more because I lost count).

If the man wants to live a private life, perhaps he should forego the luxury items he purchases, fly commercial, buy a special coffee maker, and sit in the Fenway Park stands with the other peons.. He and Garner are professed to be low-key but I, as well as others, aren't seeing it.
