Celeb Mom Blunders -- Who's the Worst

Drug busts, legal wars and countless displays of nudity. Foreign incidents to some, just another average week for some famous Hollywood moms. But in a world of questionable parental decision-making, which celebrity could use a class in motherhood? TMZ tackles that burning question.

Anna Nicole Smith: She's got a bun in the oven, but Anna is no novice -- she's been a mother since 1987. Her son, Daniel, has endured his fair share of family drama with Anna. First, she was an exotic dancer, then a Playboy Playmate, she married a wrinkly oil tycoon 62 years her senior, and then entered a seemingly never-ending court battle over a vast fortune. If that wasn't enough, Daniel also put up with Anna's reality show on the E! channel, where her "odd" behavior, we think, must have left this seemingly well-adjusted kid wondering, "Why me?"

Britney Spears: The former sex symbol has had a difficult time transitioning into motherhood. The pop tart has become the posterchild for how not to transport your newborn, after a series of incidents that landed her on the radar of Child Services, though the agency found no wrongdoing on Brit's part. She's driven with her son on her lap, almost dropped the kid while walking in New York, and she's been caught on tape driving her convertible Mini with Sean facing forward. Britney is taking safety far more seriously these days, especially with the impending birth of her second child. The "Oops" star was recently spotted dropping -- no, not the baby -- $1,500 on child safety products at Babies "R" Us. Way to go Britney.

Courtney Love: Being the child of one the most important musical artists is hard enough, but being Courtney Love's kid -- wow. From her marriage to Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain to her latest legal problems, Courtney's life has been, well, interesting. All the while, her daughter, Frances Bean, has been in the eye of the storm. A 1992 Vanity Fair article quotes Love talking about her alleged heroin use during the first few months of her pregnancy. That got the attention of Child Services and Francis was removed from the home for a short time.

After the suicide of Cobain, Courtney seemed to straighten up, even glamming it up for a few years. But everything came crashing down in October, 2003, when she lost custody of Frances Bean yet again. While Child Protective Services did not release an official reason, we can only speculate that it had to do with Love's ongoing drug problems and regular appearances in criminal court. Love regained custody of Frances in January 2005. Lets hope for both their sakes Courtney can pull it together.

91. I'm sorry it makes you feel inferior just because some of us mothers have several children and have never dropped one. Tripping over animals?? Get rid of them if you can’t train them not to hang out under your feet. Oh but never mind. I guess it’s the Darwin theory. Drop away. And be sure and tell us all here so everyone can hear about what a crappy mother you really are. You can not justify dropping your babies.

92. it'snotyourturn my guess is you are not a parent either that or your chlidren want nothing to do with you. who doesnt trip? i take a few dips here and there without the baby in my arms. as for tripping over a cat, i wont get rid of my pets b/c they got stuck under my feet. if thats the case i should get rid of all toys, shoes and whatever else may wind up on the floor. and when did anyone say they dropped a baby? shes never left my arms, i lost my balance.....thats it. and its going to happen crappy parents don't love their children or take care of them.

93. omg i have 3 kids and i can tell you i make mistakes to but you learn from them..I have dropped atleast one of my kids while they were a baby, i also put my kid in a front facing seat before 1( says to if they are over a certain weight and can hold head up on its own). that does not make Brit a baby mom it makes her a mom..Just think when some of us were kids, it was not against the law for us to stand up in the front seat with our folks while on car drives..And i came out just fine so why bash on them...The only reason we even know it is being done cause someone is in Brits face all the time when the cameras rolling or clicking!

94. Britney is a young mother. She's still learning.I don't think she belongs in the same catagory as Courtney and Anna. If Anna was my mom I would run away and change my name.

96. Smith's son Daniel just died. Maybe we all should try to remember that these are real women, real mothers, with real children. And maybe even the ones whose public antics seem less than motherly deserve our compassion and protection.

97. You need to take this story down -- Daniel Smith just died. This used to be funny, but now it's just insensitive and tacky. Thanks!

98. I think everyone needs to stop bashing Britney !!!.From what I see she is always with her baby and very attentive and loving to Sean Preston. So she makes a few mistakes as a NEW mom, anyone would,I know I would make a few of my own,and they were accidental...just like the day she almost fell. You try to carry your child to the car when paparrazi are all in your way,in your face and shoving on you,she stumbled and almost fell, but if anyone noticed the first thing she did was grab for Sean and you could see a scared look on her face.Geez people give her a break she's only human, she's doing her best, and from what I see she's a damn good mother to her child and obviously wants the best for him, leave her alone,as for the other two...I dunno maybe some counseling and drug detox would help.Nobody is perfect, but I think as long as you are at least trying to be a good mom like Brit, that's all that matters !!!

99. I do not think Brittany is a bad mom. The other two are very questionable. It is apparent that they all love their kids. There is no excuse to use drugs while pregnant. I believe very good moms make minor mistakes, it is part of learning and growing as a mother. And yes I am a mom and no I have not dropped my kids as babies but have had other minor mishaps with them. We are human, we all make mistakes. Britney's being the least of them though. Ease up on the moms, the people making the other comments are not being realistic and they need to get a life.

100. I do not know a lot about the other two but putting pictures of Britney about dropping her son that is fricking crazy. I myself have 3 children and recently tripped on toys inside my owe house from my 4 year old and about dropped my baby. It happens along with the high chair thing and everything. My daughter was 1 at the time and went to climb out of the playpen and she fell over the side on the floor while I was scrubbing the floor in the kitchen. Give this girl a break can the maganizes never put a good picture of her taking care of her kids. She takes them every where to the studio and all. And then about this loser K-Fed. Supposedly not knowing where his kids are at is a bunch of crap also. He is no father, if he was a father instead of him writing nasty stuff towards Britney on bathroom shower doors and everything he could pick up a phone and call and find out or read maganizes like everyone else does.
