Beyoncé Knowles celebrated her 25th birthday by jetting to Japan and promoting her new CD. On the eve of her album's release, Knowles wowed the 10,000+ crowd by performing six songs at a Tokyo concert.
The pop diva got a little surprise herself when she was presented with a giant birthday cake while the Japanese audience sang her "Happy Birthday" -- in English.
Knowles told a group of journalists earlier in the day, "It is very special for me, I will be 25 and that is such a significant year in a woman's life and this album, I think, is the best music I have made, so it is a great birthday present for myself."
Her album, "B'Day" lands in record stores today.

yes beyonce is black but just in case you haven't look at her lately it's pretty obvious she has white ancestory. Her family is from Louisiana, possibly New Orleans I'm not sure but if you were awake in history class you would remember that during slavery times the mixing of French Europeans and the slaves resulted in french creole culture which dominates most of Louisiana where beyonce's grandfather was from.

Beyonce's father was a top executive and her mother owned a beauty parlor. First off, Tina Knowles (Beyonce's mother) is NOT a white woman. Second, Beyonce does not only have a "little" black blood...BOTH of her parents are black Americans. Her father is very dark-skinned, her mom is light-skinned with some Creole background. What does this add up to? A black person. Her mom doesn't even look white, her skin's sort of light, but it stops there. Her features are clearly black.
And what's with the bigoted comments? B. should do away with the blonde weave, but why do people have to go there about race? What does that have to do with her as an artist?
