Make Room For A New Baby on Wisteria Lane!

Marcia Cross is pregnantIt's official. TMZ has confirmed that newlyweds Marcia Cross and husband Tom Mahoney are expecting a child.

The couple, who married in late June, will welcome their first child in April 2007. We're not quite sure how the writers of "Desperate Housewives" will work around Bree's growing bump, or if they might actually write the pregnancy into the script. Guess we'll all have to watch to see how it all unfolds.

One thing we are sure of is that we're thrilled for those two and can't wait to help welcome this bundle of joy into the world!

21. #15 is just stating FACTS...Rates of having a child with a disability go ASTRONOMICALLY up the older you are when you have a baby. Also, researchers are now stating that when a father is between 40-49 years old, the risk of having a child with AUTISM also go way up. Marcia and Tom MAY have done better adopting. We will see what happens. I DO wish them the best...

23. Stating research and facts that old ass people having kids increases the rates of chromosonal abnormality is NOT being cruel or insensitive! It's telling like it is!

24. Most likely Marcia used donor eggs so they'll probably have a very healthy baby. Don't count on the baby looking like her though. A lot of older celebrities use donor eggs, which has the public thinking they can have babies in their mid-40's. It's not impossible to have a baby with your own eggs in your mid-40's, but the pregnancy rates decline drastically ... that's if you're using your own eggs, of course.

25. If the poster had said that her baby COULD have genetic abnormalities, it would be one thing. But she didn't. She said it will, which is not fact, it's speculation.

ANY baby could have genetic abnormalities. Does that make them any less of a human? No. I can't stand when people say you 'shouldn't have a child' just because it may have a disability such as Downs Syndrome. Is that person worth any less than a healthy, genetically average person? Certainly not. Just because the couple is older does not mean they shouldn't bring a child into the world. I'm sure they have done their homework and have seen their doctor about this matter. Unless you are an obstetrician and have examined Marcia Cross and her medical history, I suggest you leave it alone.

Some people need to grow up.
