33. Being bipolar, I have been hospitalized and have met many anorexic women over the years (they were there for treatment too). I can sympathize with Nicole for what she is really going through but fat people do get made of more than skinny girls but the practice of people doing it is just as cruel for both as both have severe self esteem problems. I can only imagine what it would be like to go through treatment in the eye of the public always with something negative to say and a camera in your face everytime you do or do not eat. Even the people we call "media whores" have severe self esteem problems because they dont need the money, they have to have the attention to feel good about themselves. I just say we let them live their lives and hope the best for them. Nicole seems like she is a good person and I hope she finds happiness within herself.

34. Notice how this woman took her eating disorder (which she doesn't identify as a problem) and turned it around to an opportunity to blame papparazzi and whomever else is available. Please, no more unpleasant bikini pictures, Nicole. We can assure you that we never asked for them. If you genuinely wanted privacy, you would eat (or whatever it is that you actually do) inside the restaurant.

37. What exactly is Nicole Richie famous for? Being the first human skeleton, Twiggie's twin or just an over-indulged, no-talent, rehabbed nothing? Let's not pay for any pictures of her and see how she'll react.. The bar has never been lower and she proves it every time she opens her mouth. She, Paris, Jessica, etc., should keep on partying and smiling for no cameras. No talent, no common sense and certainly no class!!

38. She has an eating disorder.. there are no ifs ands or buts about it. that is pure fact. She can deny it all she wants, but sooner or later her organs are going to fail...

And whoever said she was perfect at 90 lbs... reality check, the average woman should weight between 120 to 140 lbs. A normal grown adult should not weight less than 100lbs.

She needs to check into a rehab center. Also i'm quite sure she's doing what every other actress/model out there is doing.. coke/meth/heroine to stay thin.

40. When you have to buy children's clothes, and your chest bones are sticking out of your chest, that is too thin. Grown women aren't supposed to weigh 80 something pounds. She should use her celebrity status to bring awareness to anorexia, get some treatment and give the paparazzi a success story to write about her. She looks like she barely has enough energy to stand up during a strong wind. I hope someday she will face her problem, get help, and live a healthy life. I do have this to say for her though, she has a lot more class than her ex friend Paris, who doesn't know not to talk crap about everyone, when she is pretty much a laughing stock of the blogs.

what a load of crap -- she's not "trying" at all. she's manipulating and lying, which eating disordered people need to do to cover up their actions, and to continue to practice their eating disorder.

trying, would be going inpatient at an eating disorder facility where you will not be able to manipulate the people around you into thinking you are eating -- you'll be eating, or you'll be tubed -- nasogastric tube -- or given an i.v. calorie drip, to get calories into your dying, starving body. And you will be watched in the bathroom, and during meals and for two or three hours afterwards to be sure you're not throwing up the food you ate.

looking at Nicole's full cheeks, her parotid glands, she does look like she's purging.

i'm surprised no one is bringing up that fact -- if you eat, like she says she does, or is seen doing, and you eat junk food, if she does, then the only way to be or to stay emaciated is to secretly puke it back up.

so in sum -- if her father is as much a basket case as he says he is over her anorexia/bulimia, he'd be plunking her into a good e.d. program like mary-kate's family did for her. it's common knowledge that addictive people, when not yet at peace with themselves, swap addictions. nicole has gone from heroin addiction to anorexia/bulimia. and it's absolutely the norm for someone with those disorders, and that ill/mentally compromised from starvation, to be in complete denial of all of it. it goes with the territory.

many times they'll wear skimpy clothes or bathing suits because they can't see how bad off they really look. for people who know the disease, it's a dead giveaway.

she's killing herself, and her family is helping her kill herself, by everyone doing nothing about her serious psychological and medical problem. anorexia has the highest death rate of any psychological disorder. some statistics say 20% or more sufferers die from anorexia, esp. the combo of anorexia/bulimia, or die from complications of the disorder, sometimes even years later. the only way to "win" at the "game", and to be "thin enough", is to die. i pray she turns the corner before that happens -- that someone who cares about her takes the action she won't, or can't take for herself to save her life.

if she's past the legal age where her family can make her go into inpatient treatment, then they need to get a court order which lets them be her medical guardian where her health/weight is concerned, so that they can get her inpatient treatment and save her life, before it's too late.

Unlike Paris, Nicole does not seek out the paparazzi. She is no publicity hound and much like the rest of you I do not look for her. As to her fame Paris did not make her famous, the Simple Life made both of them famous. Had Nicole Richie recognized the value of her father's name it would have been Nicole AND Paris.

I am fed up with all celebrities of late. What a worthless group of people. However, let us be fair Nicole is no publicity hound.

You all need to get over yourselves. Who gives a damn about their weightloss or gains? You all care about not being invisible. You are invisible in your own lives, so you jump in and rag or comment on these people. Leave them alone they are self-imploding couldn't you be happy about that without adding such nasty comments?

You guys rode Star Jones for not coming clean about her weight loss and I asked myself, "why should she?" They will still rip her a new asshole and IT IS NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS.

They are celebrities and privacy is a thing of the past, according to all of you people, but that is not true. Somethings should be mandatory privacy, UNTIL they are willing to share it themselves.

Your rights end where their rights begin.
