If Jessica Didn't Fire Rob, Who Did?

Jessica Simpson, through Rob Shuter, issued the following statement to TMZ. "I did not fire Rob Shuter, he is a great publicist and a great friend." Shuter would not say, however, if it was untrue that he had gotten the ax.

As TMZ first reported yesterday, Shuter was apparently fired by the Simpson camp after stories intimating Simpson was involved with singer John Mayer surfaced last week. Simpson later refuted that story on "The View" and Mayer was reportedly upset that his name was used in conjunction with Jessica.

Shuter would not say whether or not he still represents the pop singer and would not comment any further.

19. Excuse me, but can someone explain to me why these parents of celebs (Joe Simpson & Dina Lohan etc.) are so fricken visable? You don't see most managers or agents doing interviews or making comments to EXTRA! or whatever sleazy tabloid press. Because they aren't supposed to be! Duh! Don't you get Joe? I really think it should be illegal for parents to be managers. The only person who wants to be famous more than Jessica Simpson is Joe Simpson!! And I am sick of seeing his face will he tries to spin the fact that he didn't sell his soul to the devil all for the sake of money and celebrity for himself and his annoying daughters. As if we dont think he was behind the John Mayer gossip in the first place which "coincidentally" happened to be around the same time as her album release.

Shame on you Simpson. All of you.........

30. Papa Joe is a total WHORE and to think he was once a preacher LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Both daughters are REALLY BAD singers and don't deserve what they have.
