If Jessica Didn't Fire Rob, Who Did?

46. Gosh, the comments on here are always so nasty. Doesn't anyone have anything nice to say? None of us really know what went wrong in the marriage. It's easy to speculate and say that Jessica screwed up. But, who really knows? Newlyweds was a TV show created for ratings. I don't think it is accurate to make a judgment about their marriage based on what we saw on that show.
Personally, I think Jessica is very beautiful and a cool girl. I think she's probably a genuinely nice person. I can't believe how many people are picking her apart on here, especially based on her appearance. I think she looks better now then she looked in the Dukes. She was way too thin for her build then.

47. It had to have been Joe Simpson who fired Rob Shuter. Joe has this complete control over everybody, even his daughter Jessica. And why AGAIN is Joe beside Jessica at the MTV Video Music Awards? He should have been in the regular audience, not anywhere near the celebrities. And I saw Joe's name AGAIN on the album credits of Jessica's new album for her management. I thought Jessica had gone with someone else to manage her career. Or is Joe trying to look like hunky Nick Lachey or something? He's coming dangerously close to it with his recent appearances and having his hair so spiked up like Nick's.

48. Why can't Jessica Simpson do the right thing and fire her dad as manager? She should go with The Firm, Irving Azoff, Roger Davies or other management to handle her music career. Joe sounds so overcontrolling! He came up with the reality show on MTV and it's been repeated over 15,000 times on the network on weekends. Jessica sounds so silly with the Chicken of the Sea rants when they repeat it over and over again. I'd rather hear her music instead. I even listened to the funky "With You" on the New Jersey Turnpike on July 30 (on a road trip to New York) instead of some of her overproduced, bombastic ballads. But maybe Jessica doesn't want to listen to me or any ranting fans that want her dump Joe and get more experienced management to handle her career.

49. honestly, the girl has to BREAK UP finally with her demented, overpossessive father, anyone can see that he's the real reason for the failed marriage, and the bad PR all the time. I feel for John Mayer, I wouldn't want to be associated with a Joe-zombie- bimbo like her anyway, if they did hook up, I hope he at least got a blow job out of it, she seems desperate enough anymore moaning about wanting to be loved.....if she does want a real man, she has to grow up first and she should talk to Beyonce to learn how to grow some balls and tell her Dad to get his own life. (But then he'll leech onto Ashley, maybe Jess is just trying to protect her little sis from preditor Dad!!!) Don't worry TMZ, if someone tries to threaten you with a lawsuit it won't hold. The proof is in the pictures...every court in the land would prove Papa Joe as an unfit father hell bent on overexposing his daughters for financial gain. Period.

54. Jessica is a nice girl and people are so cruel. She has worked so hard to get to where she is today. Shes been rejected, humuleated and has been hurt because of inconciderate people. A lot of the stares' "people" control their staff. Some times the star's have nothin to do w/ who gets hired (unless its in their safty). So if she says she didnt fire him why would somebody question that? Its not the biggest deal in the world, "word of mouth" changes the truth. Jessica is a role modle and an inspiration to people every where.

She did not know that forsaking her husband to be with a jackass was going to be her undoing and when he was willing to work it out even though she was not as pure as when they went into the marriage, she declined. Now look at her... poor thing. Her husband has finally moved on, unwillingly and would not have her back even with a door prize. She is tainted and has been touched by many others during and since the breakup.

Jessica, you lose. You should have kept your legs closed during the filming of the dukes of hazzard. You would still have a semblance of fame and more importantly your HUSBAND.

56. Joe Simpson tells Jessica what to do and she jumps. Anything for Daddy!!! He told her to get a divorce and she jumped. One day all is well with Nick and the next day he's not invited to Thanksgiving Dinner and told "I want a divorce!". How pathetic is she really? Joe had bigger and better things planned for her future, like the Pam Anderson role in "Baywatch (Bimbos)" That's made Pam a beloved star, hasn't it? He always looked at Nick like some kind of Hick from Michigan. We all KNOW Texas is the only state in the union to be from! Nick was the STAR when they married and gave it all up to follow her around and make it easier for her to get more visual and more popular. He almost became "Mr. Jessica". She was a breathy, untrained, untalented singer and she still is. She should take some singing lessons and learn to keep her body still and not do all those funny little movements with her head and shoulders, and stop with the breathy! It's so old and she must realize that REAL stars sing from their diaphrams and the heart, not from the nose.

59. Jessica only became famous because of her marriage to Nick. Before The Newleyweds who had heard of her? Now that this adorable marriage is over thanks to Jessica, I am now not a fan fo hers. Nick really loved her and would have been a life partner. She should never have allowed her father Joe to interfere. Jessica has no sense. Every marriage has big ups and downs. It takes work and strong commitment - none of which Jessica has. She comes accross as a pouty, spoiled, princess. When she didn't get her way then she wants a divorce. Then she wants to have everyone believe she has been so hurt. What about Nick? She was the one who started all this. Who wants to be associated with her especially with that publicity grubbing dad. Well it is great that at the 11th hour of the divorce Nick was man enough to not want to go through that again. Even though I am sure he still loved her. In the Dukes of Hazzard movie she barely had acting parts. Mostly it was her body and looks not acting, or singing skills. It's as if she is getting by on her fantastic looks instead of real tallent. Unfortunately she just comes accross as having no class, and made up tallent kind of like Paris Hilton.
