Brad's Jab at Mel Gibson

Brad Pitt in Toronto: Click to watchWhile in Toronto promoting his new film, Brad Pitt referenced Mel Gibson's recent DUI arrest as cameras snapped his photo. After cracking a funny face, the actor joked, "That's the picture that's going to end up when I have a breakdown or something ... when I get arrested for a DUI late at night, make racial slurs or something."

Pitt also talked candidly about his children with Angelina Jolie, worrying about them seeing his past films. "Oh my God, what did I do? What are they gonna see? Films from the past, I start making that list and ah, but it definitely colors what I'll approach in the future, I'll try to be a little bit more mature about my decisions."

While Maddox, Zahara and baby Shiloh probably won't be seeing Pitt's "Seven" or "Interview with the Vampire" anytime soon, it's Angie's repertoire he should be worried about -- "Original Sin" and "Gia," anyone?

212. CCelia: getting help? Mel's getting help? He's been a drunken biggot for years! He's "getting help" because he knows what side his bread is buttered on. There are many people of the Jewish faith in Hollywood, and a lot of them are VERY powerful people.
If you think that Brad's vague reference to Mel.
You're the one who needs help if you can't see the difference.

216. I do not understand why people have a problem regarding how Brad has changed since hooking up with Angelina. Haven't you ever met someone who dramatically changed your life? If not then I feel sorry for you. Life is about change, and fortunately some people change for the better, becoming more aware of the suffering in this world and our potential to help fellow human beings.

I do not care what their motivation is when so many people are being helped by these two celebrities. I will admit that their adulterous beginning was unfortunate but only time will tell whether or not these two remain true to their causes (and to each other). In the meantime I am happy to see this family avoid the shallow hollywood lifestyle, as they inspire people all over the world to see how important it is to care.

I am shocked at how many people simply dismiss the comments Mel made and are feeling sorry for him.If any of you ever read anything about Hitler than you would know that is the views Mel had that drove him kill millions of Jews because he felt Jews were to blame for Germany's suffering and were "evil". Just because that loser was drunk doesn't excuse the comments he made then or the ones he made in the past.Mel Gibson is a racist bastard and a man he is not.I wander how many of you would feel if he made such comments about African Americans. 219. I like Brad just fine. His movies are good, he does no harm, and some good, and the fact that he isn't an anti-semite, certainly isn't something to dislike him for. Young people do take themselves seriously, but the fact that Brad isn't a drunken brawler, is something he has over most hollywood heroes...

222. give brad a break hes a great dad and loving father to all the kids, angelina is a good person at heart , and i think they make good parents and good at trying their best giving what the kids need. mel gibson was wrong for what he did but everyone has their point of view about things. freedom of speech that includes actors.

223. I saw this interview he was responding to all the flashes. He was posing for the fotogs, then after a while, he did that to let them know o.k. lets start the interview. He said that will be the one....I never heard him mention Mel. Don't believe everything you read! They sensationalize. I think it's sick how people take celebrities so personal as if they were somehow involved in the peoples lives. It's all entertainment. When I read these messages it is strange. It takes a lot of negative energy write some things I read...Pathetic!

224. Nothin' wrong with mocking Mel Gibson- he asked for it. "10 times the man Brad is?"- not possible, since Gibson's the anti-Semite, not Pitt. Brad's problem is that, like TomKat, he's suffering from overexposure. Notice how people backed off when TomKat lay low? Yeah, they focused on the poor kid then, saying it must be deformed since the papparazzi couldn't buy or steal a pic. Sick society. Like Dr. John once sang- "if I don't do it, somebody else will." Become the object of scorn, that is. Lucky for us Tom Cruise made a jerk of himself, as did Pitt when he left Jennifer. We need people like that. Otherwise, we'd have to read the papers and keep up with the news, even vote- which would be quite traumatic.
