Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes' magical public-relations tour continued with a pretty unmissable appearance on the first night of Monday Night Football at the Washington Redskins - Minnesota Vikings game.

The actor, accompanied by Katie Holmes, was spotted by cameras (not infrequently) hanging out in new benefactor Daniel Snyder's box at FedEx Field (Snyder owns the Redskins), as well as backslapping it up with "Collateral" co-star Jamie Foxx before the game. (Foxx, for his part, spent some time in the booth with the shiny new ESPN broadcast team.) Tom Cruise and Washington Redskins owner Daniel Snyder.

The scene was oddly reminiscent of 1996's "Jerry Maguire," in which Cruise plays a sports agent and watches his client Cuba Gooding, Jr. on-the-field and from the skyboxes. Cruise, an avowed fan of many sports, appeared to be following last night's game with that look of studied attention that only Tom Cruise can muster.

33. What whores! The owner of the Redskins is providing $2 mil a year to Cruise/Wagner Prod., so Tom is out at the game to earn his keep dragging zombie Katie along. Everything Tom does is calculated and staged. Even his handshake above is the "make sure you get a shot of this" gesture. TomKat have elevated sleazy celebrity PR stunts to a whole new greasy level. Yeah, we hate on them. And they love it. No PR is bad PR.

37. I think everything he does is a calculated move for PR. I mean if he was just going to the game as the owner's guest then he could have went all my himself or Kate and ALL three kids should have came and they all could have stayed in one of the private rooms above the field. But no...they wouldn't do that...he has to be seen. PPL are saying leave them alone and the media is making former fans hate him..but that is not true. Tom Cruise likes the public eye...if not then he would have tried to keep his relationship w/Ms. Holmes on the DL. I mean how many people you know hold a press conference to announce their engagement? I thought at 43 he would have some sense. He and PR team plans these "games, dinners, shopping trips" etc so he can be seen by the public as "normal guy doing normal things". As for the baby not being seen, I believe Scientologists believe that the babies should stay surrounded by scientologists in early life...or something like that. As for Nicole, I remember reading that she sees her kids on a regular basis...she just isn't a publicity whore about it. I have respect for her. She kept her relationship private (as much as she could) with Keith Urban and she never bad mouthed Mr. Cruise or put their business out there and I'm sure she could've said a lot of negative things. However, I wish him and his family the best.

38. Years ago, yes, I was a Cruise fan. When I crossed that Love/Hate line, I definitely leaped over. All the PRing in the world could never lead me back to watch any movie of his nor support his lunatic idea of "religion" in any way, period. Kate, I do think is drowning in her own bed...her relatives need to step in soon to save her!
