Anna Nicole's Son's Death Called "Suspicious"

Anna Nicole's son's death called suspiciousNASSAU, Bahamas (AP) -- The chief inspector of the Bahamas coroner's office on Wednesday called the death of Anna Nicole Smith's 20-year-old son, Daniel, "suspicious," and scheduled a formal inquiry that could lead to criminal charges.

"Whenever there is a suspicious death we would have an inquest to determine how the person died," Bradley Neely, chief inspector
of the coroner's office, told AP Television News.

Her Majesty's Coroner Linda P. Virgill scheduled the inquest for the week of Oct. 23, saying it "is the right course of action." If jurors at the inquest decide a crime took place, the case would be sent to the attorney general's office, authorities said.

16. My first gut feeling was that someone murdered him ! My guess is that daniel was asleep in the hospital room alone and then someone walked in and injected him with a needle of some very powerful drug and Daniel went into convulsions and vomited and bled and then died.
THEN Anna Nicole walked in and found him dead.
Whoever wrote here that she or Howard K. Stern killed Daniel is really stupid !
They LOVED him !
If I were the detectives in this case I would look into all the suspicious deaths that have occured in that hospital and who was working that day of the other suspicious deaths at the hospital and have them ALL investigated !
That's what I would do.
The death was'nt due to the anti depressants.There was'nt enough of them in him to kill him..I suspect.

17. There is something not right here. Who is the father of her newborn?
There would have to be some sign of a struggle if he were killed and/or forced medication.
What meds was she being fed through the iv?
We just have to wait for the answer, not speculate..

18. I would say just about the only NORMAL thing about Anna Nicole is her love for her son and his for her. Even on that crazy reality show, it was obvious that they were very close. This whole story is awful and I feel terrible for her having to have all this speculation and gossip to deal with at such a heartbreaking time, and having a brand new baby girl to deal with on top of it all.

On another note, I believe they will go ahead and release Daniel's body soon; they will get all the samples and whatever they need and then the testing can go on without them holding the body. Rest in Peace, Daniel Smith - you're probably the most innocent one in this whole mess.

And for those of you who are questioning Anna's 89 yr. old hubands death. She was out of town on business when he died. That was part of his sons "evidence" that she didn't really love him. He claimed she was never around and even though she knew his health was not good she still continued to stay away.

20. I read on another website that there was indeed someone else in the room and the Bahamian police know who it is but will not say. It will now be a criminal investigation. this story has stunk bad from day one!

21. I thinks its tragic that her son died during a time that should have been a time of celebration. It's sick to even assume she had anything to do with her son's death. She's WAY out there but that's far from being a murderer and even more so from being the killer of her own child. To start trying to link the death of her 89 year old husband, his elderly son and her son as some sort of patern for her is pretty sad. Unfortunately, after all is said and done, the truth will be told and we'll all sit back and say, "that really sucks" and go back to our lives, but Anna Nicole will have to figure out how to go on with a huge hole in her heart. One that only a parent that has lost a child can comprehend.

23. Whether suspicious or not, a young person is dead and his mother is the one who found him. During such a joyous occasion for something like this to happen is devestating for everyone. But we need to remember something, the truth will reveal itself eventually and when you least expect it. let the women grieve, she deserves at least that.

29. however untraditional anna nicole might be as a mother....it was quite clear she was devoted to daniel and him to her. i dont believe she could go on without him if not for the new baby.
this goes beyond tragic.

and that bit about how an 89 year old died...that was funny......
did it occur to you that the reason he lived to the ripe old age of 89 was due to anna

30. ....the poor boy probably died of a heart attack or anuyerism and not some outside
origin. it was indicated that the young man may have had a health issue in the past 3 years. vomitting can preceed heart attacks..incidentally.
