Anna Nicole's Son's Death Called "Suspicious"

Anna Nicole's son's death called suspiciousNASSAU, Bahamas (AP) -- The chief inspector of the Bahamas coroner's office on Wednesday called the death of Anna Nicole Smith's 20-year-old son, Daniel, "suspicious," and scheduled a formal inquiry that could lead to criminal charges.

"Whenever there is a suspicious death we would have an inquest to determine how the person died," Bradley Neely, chief inspector
of the coroner's office, told AP Television News.

Her Majesty's Coroner Linda P. Virgill scheduled the inquest for the week of Oct. 23, saying it "is the right course of action." If jurors at the inquest decide a crime took place, the case would be sent to the attorney general's office, authorities said.

302. Its very sad to say, this was suppose to be a joyfull and happy time for Anna, family, and friends. The birth of her new baby girl. And then for a twist of fate....My sympathy and prayers go out to Anna. Because no parent should have to bury thier child..God Bless.

306. I am so sorry to learn of Daniel's death. My son died last year from an unnatural death at 27 years old. However and whatever her son has left her life for ever. Her pain is great. I can not stand to think of it. It is more than most people can bear. Leaver her alone to grieve. Respect his life and hers. Stop the accusations and rumors. Focus on the people you love and love them dearly everyday. Think of what it would feel like if the person you loved the most left you today without a chance to say goodbye.

307. I posted this comment on another related article, but I'm going to post it again here:

Why is everyone making such a big deal about Howard K Sterm being at Anna's bedside in the hospital? If anyone bothered to watch her reality show, you'd see that Howard is her best friend. I know it's an unfathomable idea, but lawyers actually DO have friends. They're not all walking around in glass bubbles with "no friends allowed" signs on them.

On a different note, Wexler was on Larry King Live tonight and he said a couple of things that you guys should take note of:

1) The dosage of Daniel's anti-depressants was minimal and he wasn't even prescribed enough of a quantity with which he could overdose.

2) Wexler stated that some deaths go unsolved. He likened it to "adult infant death syndrome".

3) Wexler revealed that Daniel had sleeping issues (snoring, sleep apnia - which as most people know is when you stop breathing in your sleep for periods of time).

4) Wexler concluded that the cause of death was NOT "suicidal overdose" - a conclusion the Bahaman coroner also supports.

Coming from the pathologist, I can assure you these are the FACTS and not SPECULATION.

I really hope that when all is said and done, that it is revealed that Daniel did not die as a result of a illegal drug overdose so that all of you people who are so quick to judge and jump to biased conclusions can EAT YOUR WORDS.

As for whomever it was that suggested that I was white trailer trash simply because I'm not jumping to conclusions or degrading a mother who lost her child, I can assure you that I grew up in a very stable, very normal upper white class family in an affluent area of Eastern Long Island, NY. Again, EAT YOUR WORDS. I'm also well-educated, having attended one of the Top 50 high schools in the country as well as one of New York's more competitive colleges.

It's so like an ignorant person to resort to name calling when they've exhausted their debate skills.

Post-Script Addition to copied comment: Larry King also said that Howard K Stern spoke with Larry directly (today or yesterday) and stated that he (Howard) had picked Daniel up from the airport the previous evening and he described Daniel to have been "Sober and Normal". I am beginning to believe that the final cause of death is going to be very different than people expect.

HE WAS ALWAYS AT HIS MOTHER'S SIDE EVEN WHEN NOT VISIBLE TO THE PUBLIC'S EYE.
ANNA NICOLE SMITH LIVED FOR HER SON, DANIEL. HER WHOLE LIFE WAS ABOUT DANIEL.
DANIEL IS AND ALWAYS WILL BE A BIG PART OF ANNA.

IT IS TRULY A VERY SAD TRAGEDY AND MY HEART GOES OUT TO ANNA. BEING A SINGLE MOM MYSELF AND KNOWING OF THE TRAGEDY OF JOY AND DEATH COMBINED. MY FATHER DIED OF A MASSIVE HEART ATTACK AT MY SON'S FIRST BIRTHDAY PARTY. MY SON IS NOW 16 YEARS OLD AND I COULD NOT IMAGINE ANYTHING LIKE THIS HAPPENING. MY HEART GOES OUT TO ANNA NICOLE. MY SON AND I ARE VERY CLOSE AS WAS ANNA AND DANIEL.

310. I think it had something to do with the antidepressants he was on. He probobly took a combination and his blood pressure dropped so low he stopped breathing, or maybe there was an underlying health issue. It is my experience that the medicine dr's dont check your blood or blood pressure or anything like that before prescribing antidepressants, they expect you to know from a regular practioner. To think that anybody else would have been involved is outrageous, and quite pathetic.

311. Anna Nicole loved her son so very much. You can see it in all the pictures. Stern has always loved her. You can see that also - the way he always looked at her.
I think she is a very sweet person and my feelings go out to her at this time.
Daniel seemed like a sweet, innocent kid too, but he looked very thin and very rundown. He seemed very happy about his mom and the new baby and wanted to share in her joy.
Perhaps the combination of drugs he was on (which were perscription drugs) just became too much for his small frame to handle.
There is nothing suspicious about it at all. He was very frail. God Bless all of them.

312. Sheesh! Use your brains people.Howard K Stern picks him up at the airport! My question IS= what went on from the time Daniel got on the plane ,and, then from the time he was alone with STERN.Daniel was NOT the type of kid to do drugs.AND,i even heard he turned them down at a party! If the kid never did drugs with friends he for SURE never done them alone.I believe he was in fact murdered! I'd also bet anything that baby is NOT Sterns kid.But,by moving right in on a grieving mother(Anna)right after losing a son and giving birth in the same time frame- he lures her in to a ~COMMITTMENT~ceremony.Her son not even in his grave! What a shallow, cold hearted MONSTER! This Creep Stern is the only one after the money in my opinion.He knew what she was worth from the time he took up her CAUSE! He also knew by CLAIMING to be the babys father he insured himself right in there with the money.Daniels trust fund as well.Get the love dust out of your eyes ladies and wisen up to the cold hard truth! Stern is in it for the MONEY.I'd also bet he has his two cents worth in there with turning her against her family(claiming THEY are after her money).Yes,he's afraid Anna WOULD help her kin=and that would take away from his stake in the claim.The jerk has her deceived and i hope she wisens up before she really gets to know the true MONSTER shes with.Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde anyone??????????

313. How come no one has investigated people he met on the p[ane, ina restaurant/ infact others he was with while ON THE WAY to see his mum? Maybe he was friendly with ?someone at the hosp. Someone could have given him drugs in a coffee, in a drink? Also he had apparently spent time in a mental hosp! For depression or posession??? How come they dont try and determine WHEN the drugs got into his system? Anna was known to have drugs lying around They have done very LITTLE research into HOW and WHERE the drugs were in him And why did he have SO MUCH Methodone in his system if he was fooling with it it would be unlikely that he OD so MUCH and at such a ?happy time

314. The son probably knew what drugs mom had in her purse, and took this terrible opportunity to rob mom, while she was preoccupied in labour. Thats what happened, not some crazy story, but the most obvious. Plus Im very psychic!
