Flavor Flav To Release First and "Only" Solo Album

Flavor FlavGangsta-rapper-turned-reality-TV-sensation Flavor Flav will release his first, and he says only, solo album at the end of October, reports Karu F. Daniels of the AOL BV Newswire. The star of VH1's runaway hit "Flavor of Love," which recently had its second season premiere, says the long-gestating project, to be titled "Flavor Flav," will be produced on his own Draytown Records label. (Flav's real name is William Drayton, Jr.)

"I got some things off my chest, but not all," says Flav of the new album, adding that he intends to make this effort one for the ages. "What I'm gonna do is make this one a collector's item. My first and only solo album, ever." The first single, says BV Newswire, will be a "rock-rap fusion" track titled "Flavor Man." Collaborators will include Smooth B. and Collition.

And the afterglow of Flav's show will extend to one lucky contestant from season one of "Flavor of Love"; Variety reported earlier that VH1 was planning to do a spinoff with an as-yet-unnamed contestant from the first season.

Can't get enough Flavor in your life? Never fear. Flav rolls into daytime television as a guest on "The Tyra Banks Show" September 22nd.

16. He made a solo album for Def Jam TWICE in the late 90s but they were rejected by the label and never released. He then had a completed one that was supposed to be out in 1999 but never cameout. I remember because I was a PE fan at the time and it seemed his first solo album was always getting ready to drop very soon. I guess it took 10 years and some stupid show to give him some pop culture recognition.

This guy is a dog, even though I thought New York was getto, she really seemed to love him and that's what he said he wanted and he shunned her twice for women who probably don't love him, he's a fool and never could sing. I figured he was broke from his failed band and did this program to get some money, program as silly as it is, has watchers, the CD won't sell, he's not famous, just keeps us wanting to see what kind of girl would go with an ugly man like that.

20. Wow---Some of you really need to do some research on who Flav is. Public Enemy dealt with political issues and took a stance against violence. You should really hear Public Enemy before making judgement about the type of person someone is. Flav is an entertainer and the Flavor of Love has really taken off and is pretty funny to watch these females trying to compete for him (or for his cash-for some of them). For someone to be immature and talk about his breath--that sounds like jealousy and that you really need to get a life. Take the show for what it is--Entertainment! God Bless those who are so perfect that they talk negative of others.

21. And while everyone is busy talking crap about him, he is busy laughing all the way to the bank so he is doing quite well for himself (how many people can say that without embellishing?) 22. He has made millions off of being a hype man who needs a real job when you could do that. And I doubt he really cares if any of us thinks he's ugly, his breathe smells bad, he dresses like a court jester etc etc. Most of you who say his breathe smells bad have probably never even gotten within 100yds of the man. He is living in mansions, traveling the country, and riding in the best of cars. How many of you on TMZ board can say that lol. It's really lame to bash a celeb, personally it makes you seem envious. Apparently someone needs to do there homework,C.Moore, Public Enemy is not a failed band they are far from it. Also for those who think every black man is gangsta rapper you are wrong and apparently you've never heard the song "Fight the Power". It's far from Gangsta Rap. I wouldn't even consider Public Enemy rap at all they are more Hip-Hop (yes people there is a difference between the two).

Flavor Flav may not be the most hottest guy out there but there is something women love about him. and it was about time New York got the second boot of her life i mean come on who wants to be with a woman who takes about the whole day to put on make-up just to end up being used up like the last season and if he does do a solo album well good for him but seriously New York look at urself before you even talk you look like a girl who got all depressed and lost all her wieght and the only thing that was good on her body was nothing and i didnt know that New York was a guy because she is.

29. i must say that i don't know much about flavor flav or the group public enemy (even though i'm black) but i agree with some of u and u shouldn't talk about him if u don't know much about him. i agree he ain't too pretty but if u had the chance u would be on the show too so all of u who be hatin on the show, him and the girls need to find something better to do it's ok to say oh she so damn dumb or how stupid of her but i must say all of u negative comment makers on here guess what yo asses must like the silly ass fool enough to watch the show and make comments on him me i love the show and don't worry this was the last one.
