Flavor Flav To Release First and "Only" Solo Album

Gangsta-rapper-turned-reality-TV-sensation Flavor Flav will release his first, and he says only, solo album at the end of October, reports Karu F. Daniels of the AOL BV Newswire. The star of VH1's runaway hit "Flavor of Love," which recently had its second season premiere, says the long-gestating project, to be titled "Flavor Flav," will be produced on his own Draytown Records label. (Flav's real name is William Drayton, Jr.)

"I got some things off my chest, but not all," says Flav of the new album, adding that he intends to make this effort one for the ages. "What I'm gonna do is make this one a collector's item. My first and only solo album, ever." The first single, says BV Newswire, will be a "rock-rap fusion" track titled "Flavor Man." Collaborators will include Smooth B. and Collition.

And the afterglow of Flav's show will extend to one lucky contestant from season one of "Flavor of Love"; Variety reported earlier that VH1 was planning to do a spinoff with an as-yet-unnamed contestant from the first season.

Can't get enough Flavor in your life? Never fear. Flav rolls into daytime television as a guest on "The Tyra Banks Show" September 22nd.

40. I must say that I watched both seasons of the show. I found them strangely entertaining. I enjoyed seeing all of the personalities interact, and I think Flav made the right choice. New York is a character and I think she might have just been acting the damn fool. I agree with the pervious comments about Sumthin shittin on Flav's floor. I hope Rick didn't have to clean it up. I didn't hear anyone else mention a couple of other highlights from the show...such as...Buckwild losing her accent....lol...or "Make a sista feel real good, make a sista feel real good", with the big girl lingerie!!!! That shit was too funny. Also Sumthins out burst in the being of the show...."OH MY GOD I SO SKINNY WHAT AM I GONNA DO"...LOL.. If anyone know what I am talking about then you have a truly twisted sense of humor and this show was a guilty pleasure of yours too. However I must say that Delicious has a beautiful body, to match her beautiful personality, and I truly do wish them the best. I CAN NOT WAIT FOR THE REUNION SHOW!!! Oh and I don't think that I will by the album either even though I was a Public Enemy fan back in the day......but for goodness sake leave the man alone.....he has 6 kids to feed. 43. I think that reality show is the most discusting show I have ever seen. What I really would like to say is un printable. Who is this person? I don't even know why I put it on. But the language and the fighting was terrible and degrading to say the least. Those girls are gross. Just where do they get these people. Don't want to put to much effort into this comment. It really doesn't deserve one.

LISTEN UP! who ever is writing such low self esteem BS comments out of envy, get your act together. any idea of who flavor flav is? it seems obvious that many writers here missed the deal on public enemy. maybe you were too young during the late 80's. flav is an extraordinary entertainer. yes he is crazy. and yeah sure, the clown deal is what he uses. but you have to remember that he is a true show man. he knows exactly what he is doing. i look at it differently: how many celebs that made it to the top in the 80's and early 90's have a come back with this much showbiz success? not many certainly. am not so sure about how good his album will be, but it only makes sense to release a one-off album when you run one of the most successful shows in VH1 history.
