Don't Cage the Dog!

Duane Dog Chapman: Click to watchIn the wake of Duane Dog Chapman's arrest and pending extradition to Mexico, support is pouring in for the famed bounty hunter.

A&E, the channel which airs his reality series "Dog the Bounty Hunter," issued a statement saying, "A&E supports Dog and his family during this difficult time and is proud of his role in helping to bring a convicted serial rapist to justice."

Chapman traveled to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico in 2003 to retrieve Max Factor cosmetics heir Andrew Luster, who was wanted in the U.S. on rape charges. Luster is now in jail, serving a 124-year term. The Chapmans were jailed in Mexico for a brief time for the incident three years ago. Bounty hunting is considered a crime in Mexico.

"Dog is a hero to America ... Dog captured this horrible guy [Andrew Luster] and now he's in trouble for it all over again, " says Rick Fass of Powerlock, a company Chapman is a spokesman for. "It just doesn't make sense," Fass adds, "Powerlock and the entire Powerlock family stands behind our national spokesperson."

Chapman recently filmed an ad for the Powerlock company's new product, Wheel Safe, which keeps wheels, tires and custom rims locked, preventing robbery.

168. If the mexican government wants to punish dog for taking a serial rapist out of their country and at the same time continue to protect criminals who flee there, then maybe instead of us keeping these dregs of society here, and feeding and clothing them for their crimes we should send them all to mexico and let them deal with the slime. You know we could have saved a lot of money and time if we just sent Jeffery Dahmer for some mexican takeout. Maybe that would make the mexican government happy and it would still get the scum off of our streets and neighbourhoods.

170. Here is the latest update on the Dog situation from Honolulu. Dog, Leland and Tim were all released on Friday night on bail, as the judge concluded they are not flight risks. While out on bail, they will be required to remain in the state and wear electronic monitoring devices until they return to court for extradition hearings to face trial in Mexico. No date has been set for those hearings.

Hear Dog and Beth tell the full story in their own words on Tuesday 9/19 at 10PM/ET exclusively on A&E's original presentation - DOG: THE FAMILY SPEAKS.
The special features post-release interviews and behind-the-scenes footage from the trying ordeal. Additionally, tune in to NBC's Today Show 9/18 on Monday morning to see Dog and Beth interviewed live by Matt Lauer.

171. Who will let the dog out? Who,who, who, who, who. No. seriuosly, he was once a bad guy and in prison himself, but unlike most ex-cons, he turned all of that around and now tries to catch the bad guys and put them away. And you can tell that he now has compassion in his heart and by catching the bad guy, this is his way of giving back for all of the wrong that he did in his earlier years. I don't know much about who issued the warrant for his arrest, but if it was the Mexican officials, then they are probably trying to make a point, coming from all of the recent controversy about illegal immigrants in the U.S. I feel that the U.S. should start proceedings on getting all of these illegal immigrants out of the U.S. if the Dog and his family are not set free.

172. I was away on vacation and did not learn of this until this morning. The government needs to step in and free Dog and all his Associates ASAP. From 3 years ago? Unacceptable in my opinion!!! The way they were taken was absolutely unbelievable!!! Barging into his home as Beth was getting all the kids ready for school, in full view of the children!!! I don't think so!!! This man did what others were not able to do, bringing a low life scumbag to justice, and this is the result??? Am I missing something here??? Get with it US Government and free The Dog. Your nose is everywhere else in the world, many times sticking it where it does not belong, in my opinion, so get with it and stop this nonsense by the Mexican government.

173. i personally love what the DOG does(give folks who really deserve it,a break)so why would an idiot judge sign a warrant for a supposed crime that happened 3 flipping years ago?so i say to the judge-dear judge you are a moron, you should help DOG get the bad guys and not make DOG one of them

175. Why is it that okay for the US Marshall to kick open a door to arrest a 7yr old Ilian Gonzalez and send him back to Cuba.Everyone is pissed because they arrested Dog. He broke the law knowing that it is illegal to Bountyhunt in Mexico, as they knew that I was arrested in Mexico for bountyhunting in the late 80's. People say why didn't they just call him to come in and surrender, that he would have turned himself in. Wrong he would have done what all other celebs do and ran to there attorney and hide out until he thought the warrant and charges were dropped,as they assumed were going to happen in 27 days. If it was you or I do you really think Dog and his crew would worry about you or I.

176. Let the dog go.He caught Lester. Somthing no other person was able to do. I think the law didn't think Lester was a bad enough guy to bother with. They should all bend over and let Lester have a go at them.

178. what the Hell is wrong with our Government? This family does good work to get the bad guys off the streets for us.I guess if the FBI would have been doing their job Dog and the crew wouldn't of had to go to Mexico to catch this SCUM.

180. This arrest of Duane "DOG" Chapman as well as his son Leland, and brother Tim is a travesty of justice, they should not be charged for bringing a scum sucking bastard like Anrew Luster to justice for his crimes of drugging and raping women, they did a justice to the world putting that sick bastard behind bars. I personally disagree with the charges, Dog and his crew are only working to keep people safe and to clean up the streets from people who use and sell drugs that kill the people of the United States.

If the judicial system sees fit to extradite Dog, Tim and his son Leland, I am sorry but I have to ask "How screwed up is the judical system"

Men like Duane "DOG" Chapman, Timothy Chapman and Leland Chapan should be honored for getting a scum bag like Andrew Luster off the streets not treated like common criminals themselves.

These men have taken on the job of doing what most of us would never think of doing to protect the people of the world from the scum bags like Andrew Luster, then the Judicial system treats them like Dogs locking them up for doing the job that they do to bring these perpertrators of crimes to justice.

I ask that everyone who is a fan of Dog and his crew go to his site at http://www.dogthebountyhunter.com and buy from his store in support for the work that he does and wear his merchandise proudly to show your support.

Wear Dog The Bounty Hunter merchandise and pray that the judicial system does the right thing and keeps this damned fine law abiding lawman from the travesty of a failed judical system.
