In the wake of Duane Dog Chapman's arrest and pending extradition to Mexico, support is pouring in for the famed bounty hunter.
A&E, the channel which airs his reality series "Dog the Bounty Hunter," issued a statement saying, "A&E supports Dog and his family during this difficult time and is proud of his role in helping to bring a convicted serial rapist to justice."
Chapman traveled to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico in 2003 to retrieve Max Factor cosmetics heir Andrew Luster, who was wanted in the U.S. on rape charges. Luster is now in jail, serving a 124-year term. The Chapmans were jailed in Mexico for a brief time for the incident three years ago. Bounty hunting is considered a crime in Mexico.
"Dog is a hero to America ... Dog captured this horrible guy [Andrew Luster] and now he's in trouble for it all over again, " says Rick Fass of Powerlock, a company Chapman is a spokesman for. "It just doesn't make sense," Fass adds, "Powerlock and the entire Powerlock family stands behind our national spokesperson."
Chapman recently filmed an ad for the Powerlock company's new product, Wheel Safe, which keeps wheels, tires and custom rims locked, preventing robbery.

It is a shame that United States will be willing to send A Legal Citizen to Mexico for Breaking a law in Mexico. But will not send Illegal Mexicans back to Mexico for breaking Laws just by coming here who cares if BountY hunting is Ilegal in Mexico.Dog and his gang prevented more rapes to Women that should mean something as a bail Inforcement officer a.k.a Bounty Hunter keep up the faith Chapmem family
This is outrageous! I can do not understand how we"The Dog" can not go over to Mexico and get a low life like that off the streets with out getting arrested but the mexcian police can get help from the USA to arrest"The Dog" what the hell is wrong with our country!!
He not a criminal so stop treating him like he's the rappest where was the mexican police when that low life rappest was wondering their streets I didn't see them trying to get him Mexico should be happy he did them a favor!!
I think mexico is trying to make a point by arresting and putting "The dog " in jail so they can get on the map as the ones who put "The dog" away.
The United States and Mexico need to look at the bigger pitchure here and that is to fix it so these stupid muther f@#&er's can not cross the border when they commit a crime in the USA how about working on that instead of arresting the good people of the USA!!!!!!

To Whom It May Concern,
Respectfully, whomever may receive this email, I am a veteran of several
overseas contingencies including the most recent, Operation Iraqi Freedom,
Enduring Freedom, and prior to this war Operation Northern Watch. It has come
to my attention that Duane "Dog" Chapman has been arrested by U.S. Marshalls in
regard to his apprehension of Andrew Luster in Mexico. I would like to say that
I consider this a grave injustice to a man that has been completely reformed
from his former life as a criminal. This is a man that has devoted his life
after prison to attempting to reform and help those who break the laws of this
great country. As an employee of the united states government and the state of
Oklahoma, I am appauled that such a great man could be treated in such a manner.
Yes, he may have been an acomplice to a murder in texas, however I have helped
kill hundreds more Iraqi's and Afghani's. If he is guilty of depriving a guilty
man of his so called liberty in Mexico, then I am far more guilty; as I have
deprived hundreds if not thousands of Iraqi's and Afghani's of their lives, and
with great hopes, their freedom. I have spent many years of my life defending
this country and our so called right to freedom. If Duane "Dog" Chapman can not
go free as a hero for what he has done then I say send me to Iraq and
Afghanistan where I may face what I have done. If by some chance this does
reach the leader of our country, Mr. President Bush. Sir, I implore you please
grant the "Dog" immunity to what has transpired recently. You can not allow
this to happen to a man that has single handedly imprisoned one of the United
States worst criminals.
With All Due Respect,
Timothy R. Austin
