In the wake of Duane Dog Chapman's arrest and pending extradition to Mexico, support is pouring in for the famed bounty hunter.
A&E, the channel which airs his reality series "Dog the Bounty Hunter," issued a statement saying, "A&E supports Dog and his family during this difficult time and is proud of his role in helping to bring a convicted serial rapist to justice."
Chapman traveled to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico in 2003 to retrieve Max Factor cosmetics heir Andrew Luster, who was wanted in the U.S. on rape charges. Luster is now in jail, serving a 124-year term. The Chapmans were jailed in Mexico for a brief time for the incident three years ago. Bounty hunting is considered a crime in Mexico.
"Dog is a hero to America ... Dog captured this horrible guy [Andrew Luster] and now he's in trouble for it all over again, " says Rick Fass of Powerlock, a company Chapman is a spokesman for. "It just doesn't make sense," Fass adds, "Powerlock and the entire Powerlock family stands behind our national spokesperson."
Chapman recently filmed an ad for the Powerlock company's new product, Wheel Safe, which keeps wheels, tires and custom rims locked, preventing robbery.

The dog is a cool brother in bringing down bad guys and then lifting them up so that they can be rehabilitated, but it requires an acknowledgement on the part of the bad guys that they have strayed from the law before they begin the process of rehabilatating their character. If the dog chapman wants to rectify his damaged character, he has to acknowledged that he has strayed from (inter)national law and disregarded foreign laws, and is a fugitive of the law. That would have been fine if he was in Puerto Rico, Alaska, or any commonwealth of the US, but he was in Mexico-a sovereign nation that requires the respect of its laws by all individuals, even reckless bountyhunters, disregarding Mexican law, in search of fame and fortune. The dog needs to realize he has broken Mexican laws by kidnapping a US criminal, has fled, and is a fugitive of Mexican law. He should practice what he preaches, go to the judge, apologize, ask the judge for leniency because he's a good guy. He has done much more good than bad in his lifetime.
If the Mexican judge feels that the dog has shown remorse for his conduct, then he may find in the Dog's favor.
THE DOG IS DOING A GREAT SERVICE TO THE PEOPLE AND FOR THE PEOPLE, BY GOING OUT AND RISKING THEIR LIVES TO BRING IN BOND JUMPERS. WHAT HAPPENED IN MEXICO I THINK IS A BUNCH OF HORSE SHIT EXCUSE THE LANGUAGE. I THINK THE WHOLE CHAPMAN FAMILY IS JUST AWSOME AND THE EXAMPLE THAT THEY R SETTING FOR THERE KIDS AND THE YOUNGER GENERATION AND THE GROWN-UPS. DOG U KEEP DOING WHAT U DO BEST. MY THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS R WITH THE CHAPMAN FAMILY. GO GET'EM DOG

What a crock of bullsh*t. I can't believe some American magistrate would approve his extradition. They should have told the Mexican government to go f*** themselves- they're worthless and crooked anyway.
That's great news for me and not so good news for the DOG! He's gonna learn the meaning of DOG, when those mexicans guys in jail, tear him a new ASSHOLE! OUCH!
Being an old jail-bird himself, Dog must love being some con's bitch. It'll be just like old times in San Quentin.

What a sad state of affairs. These fine Americans have brought so many dangerous criminals to justice. We must all stand behind them. Don't let Mexico take them the way they've taken over our country. Mexicans (illegal) are destroying our once American home.
They don't let you have pepper spray in jail! He's gonna be someones BITCH for sure! I'd buy him for a pack of smokes.
Hey DOG-----You're the best. Go on over to ole' Mexico, and show them whose BOSS !
Don't drink any water though! he he
He is a bad person and deserved to be arrested. The law is the law. If you don't like it, move.
