In the wake of Duane Dog Chapman's arrest and pending extradition to Mexico, support is pouring in for the famed bounty hunter.
A&E, the channel which airs his reality series "Dog the Bounty Hunter," issued a statement saying, "A&E supports Dog and his family during this difficult time and is proud of his role in helping to bring a convicted serial rapist to justice."
Chapman traveled to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico in 2003 to retrieve Max Factor cosmetics heir Andrew Luster, who was wanted in the U.S. on rape charges. Luster is now in jail, serving a 124-year term. The Chapmans were jailed in Mexico for a brief time for the incident three years ago. Bounty hunting is considered a crime in Mexico.
"Dog is a hero to America ... Dog captured this horrible guy [Andrew Luster] and now he's in trouble for it all over again, " says Rick Fass of Powerlock, a company Chapman is a spokesman for. "It just doesn't make sense," Fass adds, "Powerlock and the entire Powerlock family stands behind our national spokesperson."
Chapman recently filmed an ad for the Powerlock company's new product, Wheel Safe, which keeps wheels, tires and custom rims locked, preventing robbery.

This is how we reward a man the caught a rapist that by the way the police couldn't do we try to put him in jail , way to go USA. we really stick together, what a joke. My family and I watch "Dog" and his family every week. They not only have they gotten criminals off the streets but they also help those that help themselves. How is it that our gov. can allow this to happen when Mexico and their people are doing us wrong and getting by with it!!! I know of several illeagal mexicans that are here in our town and working with out the proper papers and nothing is done about them. But someone that puts a person like Luster behind bars gets the Shaft? There is diffently something wrong with this picture!! May God be with the Chapman family and keep them strong and my he make this wrong a right so that these people that do wrong can know that the DOG is on their heals!!!

Lets get this straight, Dog arrested a low life rapist that the Mexicans did not want to give up they wanted him to stay in Mexico with his money even if he a raped several Americans. Then then they want him arrested for something not even a felony??? The one thing they may not pay attention to in Mexico is their elected officials but maybe if we contact ours (as well as the majestrate that had assisted with this crap) Make sure all of the people in his area know to be very loud to the Presiding Judge he may find his ass fired!! Judges don't like to piss off voters. Why don't the Mexicans take back their own felons before they go after someone like Dog. I hope this bites them in the ass!!!

Those of you that are downing the Dag are missing the point!!I have watched his show and sometimes I think its some put up crap but the point is not if we like him. The point is that this is an AMERICAN that has been arrested for a MEXICAN minnor crime. They wanted the rapist and his money and now they don't have him. They don't enforce our laws or extradite real criminals. Im in Denver and we had to fight like hell to get a cop killer back here!! If we extradite him for catching a scum bag like that just to enforce some minor MEXICAN law we should be ashamed. I served 22 years in the military to keep this country safe not to help MEXICO come across the border and force us to honor them when they dont recipricate. The Mexican government has shown no respect for our laws and they dont even take back their own felons and scum they ship here illegally.
