Alec Baldwin -- "Leave Tom Alone"

Alec BaldwinAlec Baldwin graces the October issue of GQ, and gives the men's mag a fairly juicy interview, including his views on Tom Cruise and his controversial religion Scientology.

He gives Tom props, saying "No one has played by the rules better, for longer, than Tom. As for Scientology, Alec says "All I know is I don't see people who are disciples of Tom's faith driving planes into the World Trade Center. When Scientologists start crashing planes into the Pentagon, then I think we should sit Tom down and have a grand jury talk to him. In the meantime, let's just leave him alone."

The entire interview is in October's issue of GQ, on stands today.

17. Wrong "plains" TMZ. Unless it was GQ's mistake which is unlikely.

Please learn to use your words in the right context.

19. Oh yeah , right Alex, like your opinion on Tom will make everything all right . Pleazzzzz................. If anyone takes you opinion to heart they are really finished.
You must have heard Tom is casting for a new movie and looking for A LOSER
to play the lead role. Why else would you defend a jerk like Tom Cruise. If anyone knows his dirty little secret , it's you. You must have an agenda for sticking up for him. I mean you couldn't even put your little girls needs first when your divorse became finai. You had to fight it out and make sure everyone knew all about your demands and control issues. It was all about you and your needs. I have a feeling this is too.

20. I see old owl is up to his old tricks again. Blah Blah Blah You go Alec you are right on. Tom is a wonderful man and a wonderful father. I find it laughable that you are calling other people losers when you bash people on a regular basis.

24. I don't care what crazy things celebrities want to pull if others arent' hurt. Acting crazy is a risk each individual person takes. HOWEVER: When Tom came out so strongly against medicine to help combat post-partum depression, he put a lot of not-so-knowledgeable women at risk. He put their children at risk. Sometimes, it's impossible to get someone to take meds they desperately need, then you've got this actor saying that all a woman needs is vitamins and exercise. Is Tom trying to create more situations like Andrea Yates? THAT is what I have against Tom -- and that is why I don't think he deserves a break. You don't play God with other's lives. CONTROL FREAK!

And Alec, you fat, hairy, ugly lump of the grotesque, like someone else said, clean your own house first! You skieve me out!

29. It’s funny when a celebrity says something in public (like the Dixie Chicks) they expect everyone to say nothing and just except what they say. When the public does say something celebrities can’t understand why everyone doesn’t agree with them. Why can’t they just make movies and music and shut the hell up. If they want to make statements then go into politics.

30. metroman* I'd recommend you recalculate your thoughts before posting them but you are disabled in that department so never mind....Maybe someday when you step a foot into the city, where civilization has evolved, perhaps you too will grow a brain and pull those Dolly Parton posters off your wall.
