Hollywood's New Fruit Addiction

There has been some recent buzz in Hollywood about a so-called "strawberry cocaine." TMZ did some crack investigating and got the low down on the blow.

Flavored cocaine is nothing new, we're told. Law enforcement sources tell us that since the 80s people have been buying coke in all sorts of flavors, including rum and cherry, and now it appears strawberry is back and all the rage.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ that strawberry flavoring is added to the drug to give it its fruity flavor. Years ago just adding food coloring was a big thing-- brown and red cocaine were the talk of the town. Theoretically, you could make or add any flavor you'd like to the drug.

Hollywood insiders tell TMZ that this drug has exploded in the club scene, and not only has cocaine made a huge comeback, the strawberry version is definitely rearing its ugly head again. Like leggings and skinny jeans, this dangerous pastime is back full force.

31. That is definately the truth about hearing the birds chirp. Equally worse is if you partied on a work night and had to function on only a couple hours of sleep after staying up all night. Those days are gone, but it sure was fun I must admit. It is true that those that have continued to party hard don't look so great today.

37. I don't know how many people reading this have had extensive cocaine experience but I do know that it dulls your taste buds incredibly while numbing your mouth, sinuses, and nose. After the first bump or two, I highly doubt you would be able to taste "strawberry" or anything else for that matter. I used to drink and smoke while using so I could barely discern a thing as far as taste goes...including the frightening people I slept with. Thank God for creating the 12 steps!

39. I have worked in clubs for years and years and believe me ,seen tons of coke. Flavored or colored coke is nothing I have ever seen or heard of. How can something make a comeback when I swear it never existed. Where do you find your info?

40. coke has its own taste, which most peaple tend to like (or get very used to) flavouring for a lot of peaple would ruin most peaples high. the flavour of the yayo is a part of the high.
