17. Well, well, well...The big "O" has just dropped off my list of people I would watch on tv., or buy her magazines, or anything else. I find her remarks racial and inexcusable. I have a bi-racial daughter and do not appreciate anyone making these types of remarks. Somewhere in her background she should appreciate the fact that there is white in those big 'ol jeans she shoves herself into. Ta, ta, Oprah! Thank god you can't have kids! They'd grow up to be like you.

Those " white" folks you comment about are the same white folks that watch your show day in and day out and can see past the color of your skin to the person they THOUGHT you were. How sad that money has only bought you hatred. Don't be surprized when negative comments are said about you. In her efforts to minimalize the white folks, she actually turns down potentially more qualified black people--all for the sake of making a statement? So would she actually hire a less qualified white person over an equally or more qualified white person? And would she do this all while complaining that black people don't get as many opportunities? Maybe if she wasn't so selfish about making a statement, she could do something about that...

20. @ whatever: i totally agree with you b/c a lot of people both blacks and whites read infomation wrong and then you have this big racial arguement. obviously they dont care about how she's helping the hurricane victims in the south, building schools in africa (go ahead and say something racial about her building schools in africa) giving free scholarships to students. im black and there are some things that i agree with o and some things i dont but i cant complain when a person is spending her money on things that really matter in this world. at least she's not sitting on her ass and not doing anything.

21. I am so glad that there are 13 other people that see how things really are rather that 2 people seeing things how they want them to be. I could care less what Oprah does or says I can take her or leave her sometimes I watch, sometimes I don't but #13 and #15 you are really grasping at straws first of all #13 what in the hell do rappers have to do with anything is that Oprah's big claim to fame is that how she is going to pull the wool over your eyes she won't have rappers on not all rappers are racist. #15 thank oh so much for the history lesson but the conversation was there for everyone to listen to she said she now only has one I repeat one black person working for her. Do you have any idea how many people possibly work for Oprah. What do you think the news stations would be flooded with if Martha Stewart or Donald Trump or Barbara Walters (or any other white person) said they only have 1 white person on their staff for real it would be a racist comment I am 100% possitive we will not hear anything about this comment on the news tonight.

She doesn't really care about helping her people... she just got some good o publicity for the African school for girls... I think she did that to trumple over the gay rumors. 26. The difference between Oprah and other people with her money is that she gives it away to people of all races. Steve Speilburg is RICH beyond belief and most if not all of his donations only go towards Jewish/Isralie causes. Same with Rubert Murdoch)

Oprah has done more to put white talentless, arrogrant people in the spotlight than she's done for her own kind.

Drum roll and roll call for all the talentless white people she's supported: Dr. Phil, Rachel Ray, Nate Berkuss. Not to mention all the products she's plugged for geuss who - white people. 98% of the authors she promoted for her book club were WHITE! When Oprah had the car giveaway, you could count on one hand minus 3 fingers how many black peole were in that audience that day! She devoted yet another show and about the Holocaust - Elie Weisel. When is she going to devote a show and discuss slavery - The American Holocaust? The problem with Oprah is she can't do enough for white, black, or brown people. She could give away everything she owned and you'd still be a looser in a trailerpark doing nothing.

27. The fact that she pointed out that she has mostly whites working for her, makes her statement racist. I understand she was comparing her reality to how her grandmother wanted her life to be, but she should have said instead of working for some nice white folks, she has many many people, black, white, Asian..etc working for HER. But by pointing out she employees mostly white people makes her look like it's her way at getting back at white people for all those years of slavery.

29. I do not watch Oprah. I for years I have said that she is racist. I could see on the few shows that I did watch that she treated a lot of the whites different than the blacks. As far as her helping the hurricane victims in New Orleans and giving (30,000.000) millin dollars for the school in Africa, that is fine. BUT I did not hear her give any money to the victims in Texas where they lost 90% of their area, . I did not hear her give any money to the people of Port Charlotte in Florida. I did not hear her give even any mention of these people. It is fine that she gives BUT how about the children, white and black, that are hungry or have been abused here in the USA. Why does she not give to her own PEOPLE here in the USA. Why does it always have to be to the blacks from her..Talk about race....We are supposed to be America but seems like Oprah is still dividing the country after so many years of trying to get equal. Also, I feel bad for all those people black and white who do clean houses for a living. I feel like she just degraded ALL of them..It is an honest living. I also believe she is fake and I for one do not like her....

30. #27: you couldn't have said it better. break it down for them. #28 how can you say what her grand mother should of said about working with white folks when at that time she was living in the south where there were heavily desegregated? we're talking about the 1950's for God sake! and im sure her grandmother wanted her to work with some nice white people when there was so much hatred down there and still is today. im sure her grandmother heard all the time by a white person....n***** do this, n***** clean that and she probably worked with some nice white ones too. i think what her grandmother wanted was for her to be able to work with some nice white people b/c some of them are snakes, just like any other color.
