(Among many, many other things, Oprah talked about her humble beginnings in New York, and particularly about how her mother's highest aspiration for her was that she might end up cleaning black people's houses, because "they give away nice clothes." And then Oprah pointed out that now that she's Oprah, she has "all these black people" working for her, and that in fact there's only one white person on the staff. Way to turn the tables, girl.) I assume it won't be long before Oprah is working for black people. Who would have known that it would take all these years for us to find this out about her? I'll give her one thing. She sure did a good job hiding it all those years.

69. "O" for over the top on this one. Those remarks are about as racist as one can be. I don't think her grandmother would had wanted to been pulled into those public remarks. This is what happens when some people become rich, they do not understand the basics of their meaning to life and they decide to flaunt their wealth. I stopped watching her years ago when I could see she wasn't truthful and sincere. Her money and riches are tainted. She laughs because she knows she can use her race, her power = free pass card. Her friend laughs all the way to the bank. Sad, they are.

72. I'll share an Oprah story which very few folks remember. I grew up just outside of Baltimore City. Before Oprah made it "big," she did a little talk show on WJZ? TV out of Baltimore. One morning she was interviewing Frank Perdue, of Perdue chicken fame. Well, Oprah proceeds to ask Mr. Perdue, "Does it bother you when people say you look like a chicken?" (Which he did resemble a chicken to some degree.) Mr. Perdue responds, "No, not any more than it should bother you when people say you look like a gorilla!" Oprah cut off the interview and stormed off stage on live TV. It was quite the amazing scene. She has always been the condescending, high-brow elitist she is now. She hasn't changed in 20 some years AND she's a perfect example of one who cannot take what she dishes out. I think she is responsible for ruining more marriages and more lives than we'll ever know. I used to think Dr. Spock did the most damage to American families, but Oprah tops him to the n-th degree.

mansion). God I wish I had been her waiter.
