Rosie: Bring Star Back ... Puhleeze!

See what happens on "The View" when Barbara goes away for a few days? As the women of morning television reminisced over schoolyard memories, it was brought to the audience's attention that Rosie O'Donnell herself was a high school homecoming queen. Joy, ever ready with a spicy quip, remarked, "Was it based on being pretty ... errr ... I thought homecoming queens were more like Jessica Simpson." Oh, snap, girl.

Rosie clearly didn't take too kindly to this: She said that she missed Star Jones -- "I'm feeling the love" -- and then did some temporary housecleaning of her own, announcing, "After the break, we're going to come back without Joy Behar." To "The View," we say thank you for consistently delivering us a hot dish of morning bitchiness; no word yet on whether Star will take Rosie up on her offer.

346. I just don't care to be reminded about the lesbian thing over and over and over again, I get it, lets move on. I am looking for entertainment, not sexual overtones. I don't like what they have done to the set. It looks too hollywood or talk show. I enjoyed the living room atmosphere alot more. I am enjoying the other channels for a change now. Rachael Ray is great to watch, fun, family viewing and Ellen doesn't make a big deal about the lesbian thing. She is alot more mature and grown up about it. Believe it is something that is private between partners not to be "VIEW-ed". Barbara stand up and keep things within the family values and keep it cleen for our kids when they are home sick. Lesbian or staight, lets keep the sex out of "THE VIEW" for a change. Women, I think you will agree, that isn't all we have to talk about anyway.

347. The View is no longer on my list of TV shows to watch. Just seeing Rosie on that show makes my stomach churn. She is obnoxious in more ways than one! She is loud, and nasty. Can't ever think what made Barbara choose her. She must have been desperate to have chosen her. I really didn't care for Star Jones, but I would rather look at her than Rosie. I think Gayle King is wonderful...always laughing and looking on the bright side and she is funny, too! I just have to think that Barbara will take care of this situation...maybe we will hear soon that Rosie really didn't want to make a comeback.. otherwise, it is goodbye The View.

348. Oh Rosie was Home Coming Queen? What school was that? Neanderthal High? She would give even Bill Clinton a "soft-on".

349. Meredith added a strength to the program, giving a personal touch to the daily lives of women raising a family and balancing a career..loved Starr, and miss her "smartness"..Joy is a "hoot" that adds the humor we forget in our day..Rosie is an a**hole who wants to politicize and control..I used to watch the view upon occassion..will not now..a waste of time...I feel sorry for Joy..she was the "Joy" of the show...a little naughtiness in our day..good luck dear

350. Wont watch "the View" as long as Rosie is on. Let us know when she is gone. Take control Barbara

351. I have to say I have never been so disappointed in
women then I was
when all this Starr thing occured, & I have to tell you I now go out
of my way to "NOT" watch the "view" (little "v") anymore. If I cant
find anything else interestingI just turn the tv off. I'd, rather
watch nothing then watch these poor excuses for "Women". Barbara
claims that Starr chose to do things the way she did, I suppose
knowing what might happen. ( What Guts!!) Well I say BRAVO
STARR!!! What a class act you are!! She was/is every ounce a Lady
that day of her last show. (in or out of the public eye) Starr
SHINES!!! As for Barbara, & Joy?? I will never again
watch anything they might do on T.V.. No matter what it is. I lost
a great deal of respect for both of them & their profession thru
all this mess. The day Barbara went on t.v. supposedly explaining
the entire episode via her eyes and opinion, it sickened me. I
have no need for the prime example of the why women are depicted
by ppl. As nothing but hen pecking, cat fighting children in a
grown ups skin, & shamelessly enough both Barbara & Joy gave the
whole viewing audience all the evidence they needed as to why
jokes and little puns are passed on day after day about us. I am a
strong Christian woman, I survived Hurricane Katrina w /my 2 kids &
handicapped husband, living at ground zero when it made
landfall(Pearlington, Ms). We know adversity!! Shame on Barbara & Joy!!! And then to replace Starr w/ Rosie !!!!! What a slap face to the women of this
world. And it isn't a gay thing, I have a gay brother. I dislike her
loud mouth, unlady like behavior & over all the way she presents
herself to the viewing public. You can be gay & still have class,
which Rosie greatly lacks. I was a daily viewer of the view until
all this. Never again. I dont watch soap operas, & now I dont watch
talk shows, (way to go girls!!)

352. The View...what is that and who cares?

353. Unless I missing something... people take these remarks all out of context. I think the View has had much improvement since Rosie joined. I also think people are reading to much into the comments to make a great story better I guess.
If they do not want Rosie running the show as you put it... then why give her all the attention. She starts off hot topics, she leads them to commerical breaks, she introduces the guest. If Joy, Barb, and Elizabeth didn't want it, then step up..
Hey Liz... be a leader not a follower... you seem to just go against the group to have an opinion because you can't think for yourself. You are the next to go because you are what brings the show down.

354. You Shut Up #10 everyone has a right to say what they want to say, and I agree it is turning out to be the Rosie show, just like her last talk show, next thing she'll be shooting things out in the audience. The View is boring at least when Star was on it was exciting now it's just plain boring!

355. Rosie is so intent on lesbians being able to buy little newborn babies, that, she doesn't care how others view her. Her "momma" stories about raising her kids, horrify me. The poor little bastards she bought to raise as her own will have deep emotional scars for life. Loud, ugly, fat, and a bull dyke. You're parents must be so proud, you carpet eating slug.

356. I like the view a lot more now that Rosie has joined the ladies. She gives it some fiest! I love to see Rosie and Joy go back and forth with their comedic jibes. Cheers to The View!

357. A great big "THANK YOU" to Joy.... im sorry that i forget the exact wording, but Rosie HAD this annoying habit of talking like a robot or idiot when she was relating some cute thing her chidren said.. putting that horrible voice for them, JOy made some comment about it and it ENDED that.
Not one more time did Rosie use that disgusting voice as her chidlren talking.. hurrah for JOY... HURRAH for JOY>>.
I so did despise that in Rosie..

and also, I guess I am the only one who noticed the static between Rosie and the Wilson woman. I saw the look on Rosies face when she asked Wilson how her child was going to dress for halloween, " A Fairy", she replied.. Rosie was cold the rest of the hour.
This show is so grand.. takes my mind off the dirty towels on the bathroom floor and the dirty dishes sitting everywhere.. "oh my,! where did i put this time before Rosie? love to ya'll hey Im retired.. ill wash those damed towels when i feel like it, if i ever do. luv jdypat

358. Does anyone remember when The View was more about the news than in the news? This show is sinking like the Titanic.

359. Rosie is a self-important, opinionated Hollywood loud mouth.

Posted at 6:19PM on Oct 18th 2006 by Gerry Charbonneau

360. Rosie O'Donnell is a loud mouth, highly opinionated person and doesn't belong on the view. The view used to be a class act. Since the additional of Ms. O'Donnell the show has gone way down. She's loud mouthed and obnoxious and is consistently trying to shove her ideas and political agendas down our throats. I won't watch anymore. I think that unless Barbara Walters gets rid of Ms. O'Donnell, the View will end up being cancelled. It's obvious that it's lost many viewers already.
