Rosie: Bring Star Back ... Puhleeze!

See what happens on "The View" when Barbara goes away for a few days? As the women of morning television reminisced over schoolyard memories, it was brought to the audience's attention that Rosie O'Donnell herself was a high school homecoming queen. Joy, ever ready with a spicy quip, remarked, "Was it based on being pretty ... errr ... I thought homecoming queens were more like Jessica Simpson." Oh, snap, girl.

Rosie clearly didn't take too kindly to this: She said that she missed Star Jones -- "I'm feeling the love" -- and then did some temporary housecleaning of her own, announcing, "After the break, we're going to come back without Joy Behar." To "The View," we say thank you for consistently delivering us a hot dish of morning bitchiness; no word yet on whether Star will take Rosie up on her offer.

62. I haven't had a chance to watch the show since Starr left but it seems like everyone has issues with Rosie being on there. First of all, listening to all the criticism seems odd since you all continue to watch. Rosie said "She's doing her thing" whether you like her or not. Everyone should stop the hate and learn to deal with the decision made on the show. That's what's wrong with this World today. And stop passing judgment on people. If Rosie was homecoming queen, good for her. I didn't think there was a checklist to do that. Why don't all of you go to all of the High Schools and tell the young girls that if they don't meet a certain look, not to try out for homecoming queen.

63. Why is that that a woman with intelligence and opinions can't be tolerated in this country? Hillary Clinton is mercilessly torn apart and Rosie is too for that matter. I love that Rosie speaks her mind and takes stands. I have to say for the most part I agree with her stands too. Now Elisabeth I'd like to &*%slap! She's funny and smart and she speaks her mind. Good for her!

64. The sound of the clip is so bad that you can't understand exactly what Joy says that's supposed to be an insult to Rosie and the text on this site has a quote that isn't remotely similar to what Joy says in the clip.

65. I think Rosie is a good talk show host, but "The View" is not a good fit for her...she needs to have a show on her own...oops she did and it didn't work out....Rosie needs to stop loud mouthing people if she doesn't want it back...I say bring Star back I don't think Rosie would be a match for her she's too uncouth.....

66. LOL, why do you all watch this show? I tried it a few times, and it's been the pits from the beginning, and when Rosie started on it, I decided to watch, out of curiosity, and geeze, the show is below the pits now. I wouldn't waste my time watching it. Barbara Walters is good doing interviews, but she obviously has made some mistakes in her choices for those to be on a program like this. So just join me people, and stop watching the trash,

68. Come on people the only real problem on the view is the stiff one Barbara Walters. They want to do anything for realy television they should get rid of her. Her time is up she is getting older and nastier. She trys to act so much like a proper lady. PLEASE YOUR MAKING ME SICK BABA! Rosie, Elisabeth, and Joy are great. Lose the Walters.

72. i was watching the show today when elizabeth commented about the excitement of the saints game and rosie walked all over her and kept interupting. i thought she was rude and overbearing. i sent CBS an email earlier this month and told them that i am tired of rosie's tirades about diversity. rosie needs to quietly leave the view and take her brash behavior elsewhere.

73. You're loosing fans. Rosie just doesn't have the class. Sometimes "Less Is More!" Morning Fans want : Info, Entertainment, with a little elegance. It's almost as if Barbara was told who to hire. The network took the right action to release Star Jones, but to put Rosie in her place? What were they thinking of????

74. I totally dislike the show now I watched because I liked Merith she was real and related to the EVERYDAY woman.kept everything real and not a circus like it is now.....Joy is a big mouth..and she thinks she is better than everyone else...she is a real snob...and looks down her nose at everyone..she is such a brown nose to Barbara..i did use to like Joy also..and she still has some good jokes but too much a snob....cracks me up to watch her kiss up to Barbara.. We know YOU are friends Joy....Elisabeth is regular I am not a conservative but I like her on the show gives a good opinion of young woman...and what they are going through..there are many other things to life besides politics, which is very import but Joy treats her poorly, just because she has been through it doesn't mean she is right on her thoughts.. i am a 45 year old woman...Plus I enjoyed Starr when she was first on the show but she did get to snobby...so its probably good she left. Rosie is good just shouldn't take over so much...should be a little quieter.. Barbara is trying to help everyone...she is a smart woman and it is good that she jokes around to let people know she has the same thoughts as everyone...and she can still interview with the best of them...she is great still !! . i don't watch so much now when I am home,as the show makes me nervous to watch and isn't relaxing.

75. Isn't everyone getting alittle tired of all the gay comments.....I am not a big Rosie fan and am tired of hearing daily about her being gay.......the view never use to be about someone's sexual habits and I wish they would remember what brought the viewers in in the first place......Rosie was brought in because she has won awards in the past and the View hasn't.......as for Star Jones she has left the building can someone please shut the door behind her......
