P!nk Defies Gravity

16. I do not think Pink's look is attractive. Nor do a lot of performers in the business ( I AM in the business). Think: a blonde "Grace Jones" from 007. The punk, masculine chick in a dress look did not keep Pat Benatar working. Having to flaunt your half naked body is a trick that spans the years for someone who cannot bank on their voice to get the contracts and engagements. As far as a musician, she does bad justice to the opener for ABC's Saturday Night Football....completely tears the words apart & is not even on pitch half the time. The prancing & body thrusting is a last attempt to "make it look good, or for the helpless choreographer, if the perfomer has no rythym or style, do WHATEVER to just fill in space"...A agent will pull all his/her tricks to get an act to pay out. Typically what you see is the morphed ideal of what the agent thinks the public WANTS. Not what the pergformer really has and wants to show. Look at any video/concert and the clothes & makeup & hair & dance YOU see is USUALLY someone else's idea of what YOU are asking for...As someone who makes a living singing (and has double Masters Degrees from Berkeley and a CA University vocal music & theatrical performance...recording and also appearing in concert---with my CLOTHES ON, oh heavens!), I can see that her act is purely staged & comically theatrical, at best.
It may be "what's hip & fun" now, but soon she will join the list of Debbie Gibson and others who were a cute flash & then gone...
By the way, I am a woman in my 40's. Been singing for over 16 of them. I have multimillion dollar contracts, but I live humbly & travel in a regular airline & rent-a-car. No Limos, no private jets. I plan to teach someday but right now performing is my thing. I will never forget my roots. I still listen to my family & they are priority. I give widely to charities and appear for them around the world. Most of all I give scholarships to students to pursue a field in the arts who otherwise could not attend college. Being part of the public eye, you need to take responsiblity for giving back to those who were in your shoes many years ago. It is the fans who make my job the most rewarding. You all have heard of me, as I have been on top the charts for several years. But who I am makes no relevence to this topic. Nor does the fact that Pink is NOT a musician. She is an act.
(No more than Leonard Nimoy was a singer. Sorry, Spock...)

17. My gawd... Pink has got THE best body of the entire famous crowd today. I surely wouldn't kick her out of bed!!.. nor would my husband. haha. Love her. I have loved her since she bounced on the scene with a motorcycle thru her boyfriends window. She is the Nikita of the music world. Gimme Peta Wilson and Pink anyday. Talk about a dream come true!!!! You rawk, Pink!!!!!

19. #16.. ummm... you're dissing people for what they may, as you say, become a 'has-been'.... but you are forgetting one small minute detail.... ::drum roll::.. you NEVER were anything!!!! yea.. go teach.. cuz you know what they say.. those that can't.. TEACH!!! So the next time you feel like acting like the writer of an open letter from Jessica Simpson or Nicole Richie... realize that there are people in the world who prefer those likes of pink over your wanna-be BS. And I'm sorry... but 40.. hey Madonna.. i hear they have openings in Vegas for folks like you!!!
