Kim Basinger Arraigned

BREAKING NEWS: Kim Basinger has been arraigned on contempt charges. Former Hubby Alec Baldwin triggered the case by alleging that Kim is guilty of a laundry list of violations in their ongoing custody dispute. Among Baldwin's allegations -- that Basinger blocked his visitation rights, blocked his rights to speak with his daughter on the telephone and failed to notify him when the child suffered an injury.

Basinger pled not guilty through her lawyer, Neal Hersh. The actress did not appear for the arraignment.

The former couple has been locked in an epic custody battle over 10-year-old Ireland. Baldwin has alleged Basinger is thwarting his ability to parent. Basinger has said, right back at you, Alec.

Basinger faces 12 counts of contempt. Each count carries a maximum penalty of $1,000.

31. These two are past pathetic, they are all that parents should not be. For the sake of the child they should show respect to each other regardless of their personal problems for the emotional health of their child. They will one day truly regret their assinine behavior, any family court judge will confirm that!!

32. We can't assume the allegations against Basinger are true. Baldwin has a history of somewhat violent behavior.....so it is likely that he is an abuser. Many abusers are also extremely manipulative. Baldwin is controlling and thus is fighting for custody..............a manipulative and common move is to claim the ex is blocking visits, etc. - because if it is true then custody usually automatically turns over to the maligned parent. I was a victim of domestic violence and my ex has kept me in court for 14 years now.......there are abusers who are relentless as mine is....as may be the case here too. There is something the relentless abusers typically have called NPD - Narcissictic Personality Disorder. These are people who believe everything must revolve around them....and they can often be violent when they don't get their way. I would not presume the two are fighting...but that Baldwin keeps on the attack. The system presumes it is two...when often it is one attacking relentlessly and making horrible baseless attacks.

33. I hope both these people will for the sake of their daughter...GET IT TOGETHER!!!

ALEC...MAYBE YOU SHOULD LISTEN TO YOUR BROTHER AND GET THE SPIRIT OF FORGIVNESS...KIM...STOP WANTING TO "WIN"...THINK OF YOUR KID NOT YOURSELF. THE ONLY ONE WHO IS SUFFERING IS YOUR DAUGHTER...PATHETIC!!!

34. My thoughts and prayers go out to Ireland. I wish her parents would not have to put this innocent child through their problems, she did not ask for it. As a women, I would tend to go toward Kim's (the Mom's) side and ask Alec (the Father) to stop his "attacking" the Mother of his daughter, especially since they are in the lime light...let her be. One day, she will decide and heaven help - she will make the right decision. May God bless all of you.

35. Hurting there daughter and selfish???? Come on now. Put it in its proper context...

We live in a society that's chosen to regularly murder babies without anything more than the mother's want for a do-over and we call it "her right". Talk about selfish. Where's the father's rights in any of this or the child's rights in any of this??? And we accept a judicial system that doesn't even know how to follow the constitution (and why we need J.A.I.L.) and regularly dismisses due process and equal protection like in this case where on temporary orders sole custody went directly to who else but the woman. Baby killing and misandry are in vogue and you expect reasonable actions from the father??? That's simply nuts. To expect a reasonable outcome from an unreasonable system is just irrational! So far what Alec has done seems pretty reasonable considering how his constitutional rights have already been violated. His behavior needs to be commended. Divorce is an insance process run amuck in a country by too many shady attorneys for whom the typical sole custody award system is a cash cow for them and the misandrist feminists like the National Organization for Women. This country is shamefully not the greatest democracy on Earth but the greatest hypocracy on Earth! Even mothers have far more to fear from our own judiciary these days than anyone has to fear of Al-Quida wherein at a whim the judge can strip any of their inalienable right to raise their own children without so much as even due process that must treat people as innocent till proven guilty. But we shake at the thought of some 5,000 dead in NYC while we barely shudder over 2005 marking the passing of 47,000,000 baby murders allowed by our supreme court and pushed for by organizations like the N.O.W..

Think of it this way: would you rather have taxation without representation or be denied your own children??? As far as I'm concerned, I'd much rather have taxation without representation and our legislaters should take note of how increasingly Americans are realizing that stripping us of parental rights is the worst form of terrorism around and must stop.

37. ALEC! I know you must read this, so this is for you. When a Father does anything to hurt a childs Mother, a child will never forget, and they will grow up hating their Father. When your daughter grows up and she will hear and read about all the anger you have and all the mean things you say and do - Do you really think that she will trust and want to be with you? I think not.

38. Public feuding is bad for the child. Because they are celebrities we hear about this fighting. But it is very common problem. I have experienced the same contempuous behavior from my children's mother. Blocked phone calls, denied visits, deliberately withheld information on the children's welfare and health.. all of it... the bias towards mothers is endemic and pandemic in the Family Law system. Women are not a privileged class... and they must be subject to the same harsh sanctions that Fathers/Men are...! Equal Rights for Dads! CSC - LA

39. Kim is definitely in violation. She ought to be made to hand over the kid to Alec. She deserves to be fined. Give her visitation rights once a month providing she does not violate any custody conditions. Peace.

40. Oh, Kimmy, Kimmy, how far have you fallen! I warned her against wedding that creep Alec Baldwin. He's just a very vile and temperamental fellow. If only she was here with me now, I would sooth her brow and ply her with various intoxicating beverages.

41. by the time these 2 idiots get done bickering through the court system, their daught will be 18 and able to ditch them both. hopefully she wont grow up and follow the cycle and end up just as screwd up as her parents. if i was the judge i would put them both through extensive parenting classes and if they continued this behavior.id hold them both in contempt !the kids better off without the both of them.

42. NOTHING like seeing Hollyweird limosuine libretards self-destruct! I hope Rosie O'Piglet is next!

43. Mark P. is right! Alec and Kim's custody problems, like everything else in the world -- including the fact that I stubbed my toe yesterday -- is George W. Bush's fault! How nice it must be to have a scapegoat for every single negative feeling one has.

44. Alex is NOT being slammed for being a guy---look at his actions!! He is a control FREAK and total A**HOLE to even those he works with!! I can only hope that one day he will realize his stupidity for his treatment of his daughter's mother. Girls basically gravitate towards their Daddies...UNTIL they hear their mommies being slammed. I do not see him being in Irealand's life when she is an adult if he doesn't get some counseling for his anger. You can malign someone to a child only until they grow up and can figure out the facts for themselves. Both parents are wrong for fighting like this in front of their child but when one parent is ABUSIVE (verbally and physically--Alex(?)..) then THEY are the ones that should be held accountable first....He has made quite the spectical of himself over the years and seems to think that it is ok because nothing has really happened to him for it like it would to others out of the "Hollywood protected society".. fame and money can do wonders...forgive statements made.."If Bush is elected President, I will leave America"...accidents forgiven or "forgotten" to be prosecuted (anyone old enough to remember Chappaquiddick and Teddy Kennedy's MAJOR ROLL)...little things like that?? Well, Mr. Baldwin has the same status and so figures that this will never affect his daughter evidently because he is hell bent on going after her mom. Why doesn't he just channel that anger into going about getting the help he needs so the courts will be on his side? Grow up Alex, get the help Steven did.....

45. Jeanne, great comment!

Funny how the liberal media covers up Alec Baldwin's explosive rant of stoning Harry Hyde and his family to death! Or of Rosie O'Lardazz's condemnation of guns while having ARMED bodyguards to protect her ponderous bulk.
