Gibson In Control and Sober

Mel Gibson has not been drinkingMel Gibson is not downing brewskys. Gibson's über-publicist Alan Nierob tells TMZ news reports that his client was seen at a bar drinking beer are "absolutely untrue." And sources tell TMZ all indications are that Gibson has not had a drink since his drunk driving arrest last July.

Days after the arrest, during which Gibson went on an anti-Semitic tirade, Nierob said Gibson was reaching out to the Jewish community for "one-on-one discussions" to find "the appropriate path for healing." Today Nierob told TMZ Gibson has been "a man of his word." Nierob says Gibson has come face to face with some Jewish leaders, though he would not disclose their identities.

A source who has frequent contact with Gibson told TMZ that the actor "feels like he's more in control of his life."

76. Mel Gibson should be sent to Germany to view the remains of the torture camps and prisons and see what he would like to be treated, as he DENIES the innocent victims' devastation. He seems to feel that other religions should be punished and HIS is a vengeful, destructive christian way of MURDER> He is a despicable man. Now he won't even be honest and admit his true convictions. This is an evil man to hate peoples beliefs. God does not approve of Mel Gibson and he will face him someday - or, NOT!!!

78. I HAVE WATCHED JUST ABOUT ALL OF MEL GIBSON'S MOVIES. PRIOR TO THIS ORDEAL HE WAS INVOVLED IN, I REALLY LIKED MEL GIBSON. NOW, THAT I HAVE FOUND OUT THAT MEL GIBSON HAD MADE SADISTIC REMARKS TOWARDS JEWISH PEOPLE, I HAVE CHANGED MY OPINION OF MEL GIBSON.
MR. GIBSON HAS A RESPONSIBILITY TO THE PUBLIC THAT WATCHES HIS MOVIES. MR. GIBSON COULD NOT OF SAID WHAT HE DID, JUST BECAUSE HE WAS "DRUNK"!!!!!!!! THIS SORT OF RETERIC COMES FROM DEEP WITHIN ONE'S SOUL. HE WAS TAUGHT TO HATE AT A VERY YOUNG AGE, HE SUPPRESSED THIS OVER THE YEARS, AND WITH WHATEVER WAS GOING ON IN HIS LIFE AT THE TIME HE BECAME DRUNK, THIS HATE SURFACED WHILE UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF DRINKING. HIS WORDS WERE NOT JUST ONE'S THAT CAN BE IGNORED, IF ONE HAS EVER BEEN MADE FUN OF ONE'S RELIGION, AS I HAD WHEN I WAS YOUNGER, YOU KNOW THAT THIS ATTITUDE DOES NOT COME ABOUT BECAUSE OF DRINKING!!!!!!!! BY THE WAY, I AM JEWISH, AND I CONTENDED WITH IDIOTS IN MY YOUNGER YEARS, IN JUINOR HIGH, WHO FOUND IT AMMUSING TO MAKE FUN OF SOMEONE WHO IS JEWISH. I LISTENED TO THE WORDS OF THESE YOUNGSTEERS AT THE TIME, AND I CERTAINLY BELIEVE THAT MEL GIBSON WAS TOLD THIS HATFUL, DISRESPECTFUL WORDS BY HIS FAMILY AT A YOUNG AGE. THE WORST THING SOMEONE CAN DO, IS MAKE FUN OF SOMEONE ELSE, ESPECIALLY NOT KNOWING ANYTHING ABOUT ONE'S LIFESTYLE. MAKING FUN OF SOMEONE'S RELIGION OR RACE IS THE LOWEST FORM OF WORDS ANYONE CAN POSSIBLY SAY TO ANOTHER HUMAN BEING. PERHAPS SOMEONE WHO READS THIS, MAY THINK THAT I AM HOLDING A GRUDGE, AND AFTER ALL, I AM 63 YEARS OF AGE NOW, BUT, LET ME JUST SAY THIS. WHEN THIS HAPPENES TO YOU, ITS SOMETHING THAT NEVER LEAVES YOU, YES, YOU CAN MOVE ON, HOWEVER, IT APPEARS OVER AND OVER THROUGHOUT YOUR LIFE. THIS ORDEAL THAT TOOK PLACE WITH MYSELF IN JUNIOR HIGH, ISN'T ALL I DWELL ON, BUT, WHEN THIS RESURFACES, IT HURTS
EXACTLY THE SAME AS IT DID THE VERY DAY IT TOOK PLACE. WHAT MEL GIBSON DID, WAS SOMETHING THAT WOULD OF HAPPENED WEATHER HE WAS DRUNK OR SOBER. HE ISN'T SOMEONE WHO HAS ANY RESPECT FOR OTHER PEOPLES RELIGIOUS BELIEFS. FOR ME, I HAVE CHANGED MY OPINION OF MEL GIBSON, AND I CERTAINLY WISH THIS WASN'T THE CASE. MR. GIBSON NEEDS "MENTAL ATTENTION", AS WELL AS AA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I DO BELIEVE THIS HAS MADE A NEGATIVE IMPACT ON HIS CAREER, AND COULD COST HIM HIS ACTING JOB. CALIFORNIA IS A FUNNY PLACE, AND IF YOU LIVED IN CALIFORNIA AS I DID FOR 39 YEARS, YOU WOULD KNOW THAT PEOPLE HAVE A WAY OF FORGETTING THINGS, BUT THE PRODUCERS OF THE MOVIES WHO HAPPEN TO BE JEWISH, REALLY DON'T FORGET THAT QUICKLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 79. As a Jew and as a recovering person I listened to the Gibson interview. He maybe sorry, but he is sorry because there have been consequences for his behavior. I am Jewish but don't look it. I am shocked that when the bigots think they are alone, they let the racial slurs rip.Gibson's druken tirade is a symtem of his fundelmentalist Catholic beliefe system. I believe that only time will tell if Gibson is capable of long term recover.
