Celebrity Feuds
Rosie the Riveting's Raucous Week

Even by Rosie O'Donnell's outspoken standards, this week's been a particularly loud one. With just a few wags of her tongue (and a couple thrusts of her hips), the talk-show empress once dubbed the "Queen of Nice" has turned into a one-woman provocation machine.

First, on "The View," she irked the gun control lobby -- and co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck -- when she suggested that the tragic murder of five young girls in Pennsylvania Amish country on Monday wouldn't have happened if better controls were put on the sale and possession of firearms. Then, on Wednesday, she incensed Catholics everywhere -- including the president of the Catholic League, who publicly denounced her comment -- when she put the blame for the Church's pedophilia scandal squarely on the shoulders of the current Pope Benedict XVI and referenced the controversial new flick "Deliver Us From Evil." And finally, yesterday, Rosie got into it with what she termed the "crazy" pro-breast-feeding legions, saying that they would be bombarding her with enraged complaints for her more pragmatic stance on the issue.

To top it all off, as if to prove dramatically that she just can't stop talking, she gabbed all the way through a steamy sex scene in a guest appearance on FX's "Nip/Tuck," hitting on such varied topics as Britney, K-Fed, and mac 'n' cheese along the way. Whatever she's saying, however, we're listening.

136. so I guess she's supposed to just take up space on the show and not have an opinion at all right. Some people just don't make any sense. Listen carefully *for those that need it to be spelled out to them* ITS......HER......JOB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How bout FLIPPING THE CHANNEL if you got a problem with it. She is bringing a refreshing change to the usually hum drum tone to the show. ANYONE WANT STAR JONES BACK???? I didn't think so. Let the woman do her job!

137. I thought the view "was" a great forum for open discussions, it is now mostly about lesbains...Rosie pushes that in every conversation, I am sick of it. She brings a hard aggressivness to every topic. I used to enjoy the view because there was a quiet, get your point accross, and funny comments about the topic. Made you feel connected with someone on the panel. Now it is a "Jerry Springer" type attitude. And Rosie has set that pace. Barbara Walters is even moving toward Rosie. Barbara used to control the "ladies" sometime my just her physical jestures...Barbara has no control anymore. I used to really enjoy Joy but in order for her to survive on the View she has to be as loud as Rosie. The show is just not...fun or cute anymore. Rosie was the "Worst" choice for the shows host. There are so many other talanted women that could host the view and bring back your best constituants. As far as I am concerned....if Rosie stays on...the view is "SUNK!" Linda

138. I WAS a huge fan of the View. The show has an air of nastiness to it now. It used to be lighthearted entertainment. Rosie is a very ANGRY person inside and it is very sad. Rosie was not hired to showcase her "agendas"..(ie pro gay marriage, anti-war, anti-Bush, anti-Christian) When she was asked by Bill O'Reilly if she wanted to "win the war in Iraq", SHE WOULDN'T EVEN ANSWER HIM AND SAY YES!! Many of her comments could be construed as bashing Christians...just like Mel Gibson did about Jews..she is more subtle. As for Joy not forgiving Mel, she has a deep resentment toward Catholics! Where was her outrage when the President of the United States lied to us about not having an affair??...but she can't forgive Mel for some vulgarity! She is another angry person.I will not watch this show anymore...it is tasteless and the only person with a shred of "class" is ELIZABETH. Barbara Walters has sold herself down the river for ratings.

139. Yeah, we can change the channel if we don't like what Rosie says, but for many of us that did watch THE VIEW, Rosie has ruined a show that we once enjoyed. We can change the channel, but if enough of us do that, Rosie won't have a platform for her liberal opinions, because eventually The View will no longer be. As the title of the show suggests, it is a viewpoint - everyone is entitled to their opinion. Rosie just has a way of alienating everyone. She is crude and vulgar, and while she has an opinion, she doesn't allow anyone else to have one. My prediction is that she will be the death of the show if they don't make her tone it down some. I don't agree with her opinions, but I don't agree with the opinions of alot of people that use television as a way to speak their mind. That doesn't mean I discount their opinions - it just means I don't agree with them. Rosie would get alot farther and be heard more if she could just state her opinion nicely once in awhile. Oprah has been the Queen of the talk shows for over twenty years, and if she so chooses, she will be around another twenty. Rosie, on the other hand, will be lucky if people stick around long enough to hear her thoughts on twenty topics. I don't always agree with Oprah, either, but I respect her - she tempers her opinions with kindness and intelligence. Rosie displays neither. If I wanted to, I could give my opinion by using the same name calling tactics that she uses, but I won't lower myself meet her standard.

140. What do you mean flipping the channel? The view has always been held in high regard of being entertaining. The forum is; current affairs....a panel of women with thoughts, not a dominating opinion. It was about cute, light heartedness....talks that you could think about through the day. Not......ONE person dominating the entire show! Rosie is soooo dominating, she thinks she has the "job" of enlightening us women about her opinion. Rosie has an opinion from a lesbian stand point only. I do not believe that Rosie provokes the thoughts of most of the viewers. I miss the original format of the VIEW.....I hope that the powers to be....will revisit Rosies "host" position on the View. After all...President Bush has rethought the attack on the war? What do ya think.........??

141. The View has become Rosie's Dyke hour. If you are a christian you can go to hell as far Rosie's believes. Now the Muslims terrorist there okay because they don't keep saying that gays are unterrorist like. They would just cut your head off if they knew you were gay. Rosie is on an island for herself and her gay causes and the rest of crew of the View can beg for a moment her and a moment there. Barbara Walters is an idiot for putting Rosie on this show and in charge. Just wait until Barbara get her ass burned by Rosie then she'll figure this was a terrible move she made.

142. Well, it sure is nice to read some of civilized postings. One is better able to get their point across when they don't have to insult and demean others to make a point (or lack there of, just hate). If Rosie dominates the show and doesn't allow others to express their point of view she is wrong. It could be that she is so passionate about her view/perspective that it impedes her ability to let others express themselves. Everyone has the right to be heard...no matter how strongly another may disagree with them.
I must actually watch the show tomorrow to see if she does dominate the show (as some have suggested) or whether it's just the perception of some who can't stand her anyway.

143. I was a long time viewer of, The View, but no more. I watch TV for entertainment not to hear the liberal rants and ravings of Rosie. I find it humorous that Joy didn't have much to say in reference to polictics or religion until her buddy, Rosie, arrived. I must assume, Joy, needed backup before she had the courage to spout off her liberal bias also. Maybe, The View, needs a new boss and Barbara Walters should be terminated.

144. GO ROSIE!!! You make me laugh and you make me think. Although I am a 67 year old, white, straight, middle America female, I LOVE Rosie. She is honest and straightforward which is SO refreshing after listening to so much garbage.

Joy is also my hero. Since Rosie came on the View Joy is much more vocal and I love her too.

I have a huge amount of respect for Barbara Walters, but, I have to admit I don't miss her when she is not on. Sorry Babs!

145. Rosie is a number one "B".. She showed her real colors several years ago when she attempted to sing the National Anthem at the beginning of a San Diego Padres's baseball game. She was so rude and vulgar to the point of grabbing her crotch at the end of the song. She was booed off the field, as I recall. She will never again be welcomed back, so, Rosie, keep up the vulgar works. Remember that you have a "reputation" to uphold. Your kind of public awaits you.

146. I can't believe all the hatred for Rosie i have been reading on this site. We are all entitled to our opinions, but ladies, some of you are just crule. Do you all walk the streets embarrasing people if you don't like the way they look , or the color of their skin, or if they are overweight? Where is your compassion? As far as the gay thing goes, She does mention it ia bit to much, but maybe it don't bother me too much because I have found out that three members of my own family are gay. One first cousin died of aids about 6 yrs ago. He was my closest cousin, and I didn't even know it. Anyway, they are still people....Ladies have some compasion for others.............

147. What was Barbara thinking? Rosie IS making everyone sick! He is extremely annoying! Why is he so grumpy. First, of all he is mad at everyone. I think Elizabeth's best friend should replace him. I was no more good when Rosie spilled her water on her and she threw the rest of it back on Rosie. That was definitely my Kodak moment for 2006. ( Rosie's face was beet red) . I hope Star saw that. Rosie kick rocks!

148. Rosie is an embarrassment, she so much wanted to catch the eye of viewers....she as a lesbian. She thought it was so neat to ask (and you could hear her voice asking him to lay on top of her) the star of Nip and Tuck (guy) to lay on top of her....not because she was a true lesbo but, because she thought it would be cool that...she...Rosie O'Donnal compromised herself for ratings. Sickening. We have to listen to her about how the moment "Duh" in college she saw a women walk accross the room....how she had a melt down. I cannot remember hearing any good interviewers telling.......such personal stories. What is Rosies point? Who cares about her personal life? I would have guessed she would have been hired to be an unbiassed interviewer. Rosie has made millions when she presented herself as a main stream person....she just pushes her life style to much. I don't want to hear about her or her life style any more. There are so many more talented women out there, please someone pull the plug. Get Rosie off the View. Or you should rename the show as.......The Lesbo View. Really. It is sad!
I should have identified myself regarding my first comments not simply as
"Linda"..my comments will now be from Linda lka.

150. Rosie is a big mouth that pushes her weight around and feels she can say anything to anybody and it's o.k. She is a disgrace and so is her lifestyle. if everyone had her lifestyle the world would become non existent.
