Sienna Actually Thinks Pittsburgh is "Beautiful"

Despite recent reports, Sienna Miller actually really likes Pittsburgh and thinks it's "beautiful." Just to clear things up, her father's actually from a nearby town, and she just hasn't had time to explore while she shoots the film version of Michael Chabon's novel "Mysteries of Pittsburgh."

In a statement issued through her rep, Miller says, "I want to apologize for my comments which seem to have been misconstrued and taken out of context. I was referring to the fact that we are shooting almost all night shoots on this film and none of us have had an opportunity to fully explore the city."

Adds Miller, "What I have seen of it is beautiful. I came once before to visit the Andy Warhol museum whilst researching a film and found both the city and its inhabitants warm and gracious. My father is from Meadville and is in town to show me round this weekend. I sincerely apologize and hope people realize that conversations can be easily manipulated in print."

Miller was criticized by Pittsburgh residents for supposedly denigrating the city in a "Rolling Stone" interview published this week.

35. Sienna Miller's father lives NO WHERE NEAR Pennsylvania. Have no idea what she 's going around saying "he's from the area".

Hyenna (oopps..Sienna) Miller is a talentless hack. If this is her pitful way of getting noticed she has succeeded. I will NEVER see any on her movies nor buy any magazine which has her on a cover. I hope she disappears with that useless boyfriend Jude Law.

36. Wait---wasn't she in "Factory Girl" about Andy Warhol protogee, Edie Sedgewick? And wasn't Warhol from Pittsburg? But I guess she's just too stupid to realize where her roles come from.

37. To all the pittsburgh natives--don't be offended by all the idiots agreeing with sienna miller here. They probably don't like the steelers only because their own teams SUCK, and see this as an opportunity to take out their bitterness on the city as a whole.

38. First of all i would just like to state that i have lived in Pittsburgh my whole life so I know how it is. For all of you commenters who agrree with this fake celebrity, I admit Pittsburgh is jus like any other city, it has some bad spots but nothing is perfect so shut up. pittsburgh is a beautiful city.

2nd of all the Steelers are amazing, so this year we've started off badley but look where we were last year ALMOST more losses then wins, but look where we ended up, beating the Seahawks in the Superbowl. We were a legend last year and we still are, we have just lost some of our best and most memorable players, it's called a re-building year.

so shove it Sienna Miller, you're just another fake celebrity trying to apologize for something you said even though it's too late. "it was taken out of context" psh.

39. While everyone is entitled to their own opinion I must disagree with Miss. Miller. Pittsburgh is just any other city in the US. It's the Steelers that stink. They won the superbowl last year as a fluke. They suck this year and will continue to suck! Long live COLTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

42. You would have thought that the spoiled rotten no-talent queen-bitch Sienna Miller would have learned by now.

PITTSBURGH BOUNCER: "Honey, you need ID to drink here to be a patron", "Sienna ripped off her hat"

SIENNA MILLER: 'I am Sienna Miller. I am a famous actress!'"

SIENNA MILLER'S MOM: "Don't you know who this is?"

PITTSBURGH BOUNCER: "We escorted Sienna Miller out the exit. She was going crazy out there, stomping her feet, walking up and down the street for 30 minutes"

OWNER OF THE TAVERN: "There was no reason for her to act like she did. No ID, no entry -- I'm sorry, we can't bend the rules for anybody."

Quoting Forrest Gump: "Stupid is as stupid does."

43. I'll start by saying I'm from Pittsburgh.

duh, you're absolutely right. If Matt Damon is making a movie in New York, would he ever say that he thinks all New Yorkers are jerks whether he thinks that or doesn't. No. That's suicide. If I were the producer and it wasn't late into the filming, I'd fire her for that comment. That could kill sales on the movie.

Anyway, leaving the Steelers out of this because I highly doubt a British actress ares at all about any American football team, let alone the Steelers, she's wrong. I recently went home and I took a wrong turn and ended up on nearby Mount Washington. From there, the Pittsburgh skyline is clearly visible. It is the most beautiful skyline I have ever seen. It's not the biggest or nost expansive, but by far the most eye-appealing. We're an old town without a whole lot of money. It's hard to improve without cash, and the city is trying hard. It's not the most modern, but it doesn't need to be. It has its own thing going. It isn't a place as picturesqe as the harbor in Baltimore or the mall at Washington DC, but it has the rivers, bridges, skyline, and inclines. How many cities can be noted for the design of bridges? How many cities even have inclines? All towns have their own thing. Just we have a pride that isn't common in towns.
