You Might Want to Rethink
Mario Batali Cooks Up a Hot Mess

Mario BataliWorld famous celebrity chef Mario Batali may know a lot about cooking, but his most recent outfit has left us with a bad taste in our mouth.

The Food Network host arrived at the NY premiere of the movie "Infamous" on Monday sporting shorts, colored socks, and orange Crocs. An ensemble more appropriate for sight seeing, than seeing a movie premiere.

So unless he's planning on spending the evening touring the Statue of Liberty, we hope in the future Mario changes into something a little more comfortable -- to our eyes.

16. Although i agree the outfit was farfetched, i do have to say you spelled "crocs" wrong, and i thought you guy were the smartest people in the world!

17. Even though he's Mr. Puff-And-Stuff, he's richer than all of us bitches anyway. He married well, too, since his wife is the daughter of the founders of Coach leather, so he must be doing something right.

Maybe behind his kangaroo pouch beneath his belly, he's got the schlong of death? Well, or it would be if he loses a few pounds...it only sticks out 8" right now. :-)

18. i think these shoes are fun and quirky.....if i'm doing any kind of walking, Crocs are on my feet...nomyshoes...birkenstocks have nothing on these rubber shoes! I recently went to disney, on the first day i wore sneakers but had to go back to car by noon to put crocs on...didn't take them off the whole trip. I don't care what anyone says or how ugly they are these are amazing shoes! So who cares if he is a fashion disaster.....his feet don't hurt. LOL

19. This guy is a great chef & should not give a sh*t what TMZ or anyone else thinks of his attire. Everyone I know has AT LEAST one pair of crocs.

20. The shoes are hideous and I would rather have aching feet than wear ugly shoes!

21. is he dressed for halloween or what
i wonder now if he is italian something to think about
he needs to cut his hair
he needs to loose 75 lbs
he needs to dress age appropriate, maybe a 12 year old can get away with the clown outfit and shoes he has on
the look on his face tells me he looks cool, he is so way off
i think he thinks i am so good i can wear anything, and he is so wrong
the little italian chef (female) is the best rachael ray, is one big mouth, promoted by oprah period, she is no cook, 30 min cook you have got to be kidding me.plus she is unsanit ary, she never washes her hands or whatever she takes out of the refrig. for instance packages chicken, she doesn't wash it, that is so gross.

22. To the TMZ staff writer---

What are you talking about??!? If you had a lick of sense in that b-b brain of yours you'd know and understand that's Mario's signature style of dress. Mario Balto probably lives, sleeps, and showers in those damn Crocs! So give him a break.

Also, I understand that he owns and runs like a ga-gillion restaurants around town and was either getting off from work or going to see about one of his restaurants right after the show. Geesh!

23. Leave him alone TMZ! I, for one, don't have to defend him, he is very wealthy in his own right. Don't pick on his attire! I have never seen him wear anything else. If you owned that much real estate in NYC ~ you too, could walk around looking the way you wanted too, which I am sure a lot of you do but aren't famous enough to have your picture taken. He is a WONDERFUL & CREATIVE chef, and that is what counts.
