Paula Abdul Is the Woman of the Year?

Paula AbdulTaylor Hicks may be an "American Idol," but, apparently, Paula Abdul is Nevada's!

The former Laker Girl, choreographer and "A.I." judge has been named the Nevada Ballet Theater's 2007 "Woman of the Year."

The illustrious award honors luminaries of the stage and screen who have a special connection to dance and musical theater. Bickering with Simon Cowell is a plus.

Past "Woman of the Year' recipients include Megawatt A-list Hollywood super-duper stars like Rita Rudner, Chita Rivera and Carol Channing.

A rep for the Theater said Paula's "warm personality and talent have touched every aspect of the arts and entertainment world. Paula exemplifies the qualities we look for in an honoree."

We couldn't agree more. I mean, who doesn't admire glazed looks, incoherent outbursts and canoodling with contestants?!

Ms. Abdul, and all her fabulous womanhood, will be feted at the Ballet's annual Black and White Ball on January 27 at the Wynn Las Vegas.

17. She has to be pregnant. No way she would wear that dress when it makes her look like that if she wasn't pregnant, right?? Does anyone know for sure? I think she must be pregnant.

Or at least I hope that's why she in a dress two sizes too small.

They were not talking about her race, but a social event.

I wonder if she is going to have a baby too... because that dress was not a good choice.

23. First of all, she is not fat, so what if she has a little belly? I dont understand why people want women to look like they are anorexic, oh wait but when they do they are TOO skinny. I don't understand you tell me how a woman is supposed to look?
Second of all, this isn't a big award, she won it, get over it. It does not affect your life. You probably wont even remember it tomorrow.

25. Hope I'm not the only one who likes Paula alot. I know she had very bad back pain and I wouldn't be surprised if some Hollywood Doctor has her hooked on pain meds, I have to agree on Amer. Idol she does act loopy sometimes. But she does seem to have a sweet nature all and all. Shes not fat come on it was a bad shot so she has a little tummy who doesn't shes real.

27. Everyone here who posted to complain about her...wow...No wonder the Mid west elected Bush as president. Once again, the uneducated and religous americans speak out. I wish they could see but as far as I know, they still dont have televisions in trailers with cable.

29. Look at the picture, folks. It was taken with a wide angle lens or otherwise stretched side-to-side. Do you see how wide her face is? That's why her whole body looks wide. Anyway, she didn't choose the most flattering dress for her tummy, but how many of you can boast a washboard stomach? It seems like most people here are engaging in a "gang mentality", picking on someone simply because others before them have done so. People are so thoughtlessly cruel.

30. Jealousy is a bitch! She's earned her way with sweat and pain. With the injuries she's sustained in her career, it's amazing she looks as good as she does. She has my respect and admiration. Remember people, she's not a teenager anymore. We all begin to age if we're fortunate enough to live that long. As for the Corey thing.... who cares.... if she slept with him, she was definitely slumming.... and the only reason he went public was to gain publicity for his album with was a complete failure. Even William Hung had better sales! Now that's funny.....
