Paula Abdul Is the Woman of the Year?

Paula AbdulTaylor Hicks may be an "American Idol," but, apparently, Paula Abdul is Nevada's!

The former Laker Girl, choreographer and "A.I." judge has been named the Nevada Ballet Theater's 2007 "Woman of the Year."

The illustrious award honors luminaries of the stage and screen who have a special connection to dance and musical theater. Bickering with Simon Cowell is a plus.

Past "Woman of the Year' recipients include Megawatt A-list Hollywood super-duper stars like Rita Rudner, Chita Rivera and Carol Channing.

A rep for the Theater said Paula's "warm personality and talent have touched every aspect of the arts and entertainment world. Paula exemplifies the qualities we look for in an honoree."

We couldn't agree more. I mean, who doesn't admire glazed looks, incoherent outbursts and canoodling with contestants?!

Ms. Abdul, and all her fabulous womanhood, will be feted at the Ballet's annual Black and White Ball on January 27 at the Wynn Las Vegas.

46. When I think about it, Paula Abdul's award from the Nevada Ballet Theater is well deserved. I think about those exciting music videos she made in the '80s/90s during her peak of multi-platinum albums back to back. The dancing and choreography she did in them were dazzling as well as those she did for other artists at the time. It's had an influence on current artists like Ciara, Britney Spears, Beyonce, and others. I think that the people in that Nevada theatre have seen her videos, recent DVDs and anything on her thousands of times. Although it looks like Paula gained some weight judging from that picture, I don't even think of that. I wish that Paula would make a new album soon and regain her footing back in music.

47. First of all, she is not fat, so what if she has a little belly? I dont understand why people want women to look like they are anorexic, oh wait but when they do they are TOO skinny. I don't understand you tell me how a woman is supposed to look?
Second of all, this isn't a big award, she won it, get over it. It does not affect your life. You probably wont even remember it tomorrow.

48. Look at the picture, folks. It was taken with a wide angle lens or otherwise stretched side-to-side. Do you see how wide her face is? That's why her whole body looks wide. Anyway, she didn't choose the most flattering dress for her tummy, but how many of you can boast a washboard stomach? It seems like most people here are engaging in a "gang mentality", picking on someone simply because others before them have done so. People are so thoughtlessly cruel.

51. Paula abdul is a horny old broad and I love her for it, always have always will.
As for the rest of you, ya'lls just a bunch of whiny jealous bitches.
