Babs' F-Bomb More Powerful Than Nuclear Bomb

Barbra StreisandAs the world copes with the news of North Korea's alleged nuclear testing, there's another explosive event making an even bigger impact in the international community -- Barbra Streisand's F-Bomb.

It all went down during a bit in Streisand's concert in New York City last night, which featured a humorous routine with a George Bush impersonator -- similar to this clip obtained by TMZ. The act drew a few jeers and heckles from the crowd. and after imploring the audience to "be polite" failed, Babs shot back, "Shut the f**k up! Shut up if you can't take a joke!" Oh, Snap!

But the news of Barbra Streisand telling the heckler to "shut the f**k up" isn't just news here in the States -- apparently Babs is big in Africa and Malaysia, too.

We spoke to Streisand's publicist Ken Sunshine earlier today, and he told us that he's gotten interview requests from press outlets in those places and beyond.

"There seems to be a lot of interest about one comedic part of a long show. But when anyone buys a ticket to a Streisand show, they're getting the greatest voice in the world and someone whose politics are very clear," Sunshine told TMZ.

But if you think a little heckling is gonna get the "Yentl" star down, think again. "The bit with the Bush impersonator is comedy, everyone knows it's comedy," Sunshine said. "There are always a healthy percentage of Republicans at her shows, they know her politics. They go for the music, the fun, and the performance. Barbra is obviously unfazed by the incident."

The lesson, as always: Don't f**k with Babs.

31. Barbra has a great voice, but that's the only thing people pay to hear. Her politics should be kept under wraps until she's asked! If she wants to become a politician, let her run for an office and see how her opinion is accepted......other than that, her fans obviously did not want to hear her make fun of our President.
You've got a great voice, Barbra...not necessarily a great and accepted opinion......

33. ah, lighten up.....even the Republicans know he's a complete embarrassment and a failure......political satire has been used many times over in acts by many performers, it's not by any means a new hollywood thing......

34. The issue is not whether audience members were disgruntled at the idea of paying an exorbitant amount for tickets then hearing "comedy/politics" instead of music. The issue is that fans paid hundreds of dollars only to be cursed at by this low life "star". This is reprehensible behavior from a woman in her 60's who is displaying all the professionalism of an ill-mannered 20-year-old rocker. It is insupportable and insulting to ALL members of her audience, whether they agree with her politically or not.

35. Now everyone has a right to their opinions but, I certainly would not be amused if Bush started out a news conference with a little musical number, or any other politician for that matter. I just wish theses entertainers would stick to their chosen profession, entertaining. Truth is, Barbra lives in a security guarded compound, gets shuttled around in chuffer driven limousines, has people waiting on her hand and foot, and can afford the very best of everything. I truly believe her view of the world is very different then mine, or most peoples. What the hell insight can she give me about my life, or what's best for me? All I can say is life has been pretty damn good to her, so what's she complaining about.

36. Maybe she thought she was Dick Chenney? Seriously, Republicans are dropping F bombs all over the place--and never apologize for their lack of professionalism. The language on this board also is full of profanity. What would Jesus say?

37. Wrong time, Wrong place.Bringing politics into her concert was NOT right.
People deserve a night out, leaving political bull sh*t, at the door. She a jerk, anyway.

38. I'm really glad this has turned into a bash Bush segment. I guess that just shows how many people really have not got a clue about what really matters............FREEDOM... Freedom to be able to say such things about our President.. you think you could get away with that in some other country? Don't think so.... You would be thrown in jail or better yet killed out right. You libs have not clue one.....You should be on your fricking knees thanking our President for keeping us safe... or I guess you would rather be on your knees kissing bill clintons ass...or maybe the other side of him.... because we all know what he did in office....... let me see......oh yea had an affair....and....... and..... hmmmm not much else comes to mind...... and just so you dont think I'm a Bush freak...I am a Democrate and I am sooooo ashame of my party right now..... Oh and by the way barbara couldn't carry a tune in a bucket..she only started touring again because she needs the money... and you people are stupid enough to pay.... dont bother replying to this as I will not be wasting my time reading this crap anymore.... Have a wonderfully BLESSED day..... :-)

39. What Babs, Dixie CHicks, and other Entertainers do not get is WE do not want to hear their political views. If we want political humor we can watch Jay or David. They at least make fun of all politicians. I bet when Babs buddy Clinton was doing the nasty she did not say a word about it. Shut up and sing that is why you get paid and have what you have today. Plus everyone knows Babs is nuts anyway. She is one of the biggest enviromental law breakers around. Her horse barn uses more electricity to keep air conditioned than most small towns. But no one dare complain about Babs, she is the great one. I say burn her cd's and albums take away a few sells then she will keep her poltics off the stage.

40. Ummm, Sherri....

Why exactly are you "so ashamed" of the Democratic party? We're not even in power right now. What have we done lately to make you ashamed?

You're harping on Cinton getting head in his office? I mean, his actions were wrong but at least no one died because of what he did. And Clinton's actions pale in comparison to the latest Republican scandal (gay sexual harassment).

And can you explain to me how we are safer because of our government? Don't know about you, but I don't feel too safe since we have pissed off the majority of our allies and we're making new enemies every day.

41. She's been bursting to spew her nasty hated for a long time. Unfortunately she came off as a loser and dread come to life to a captive audience... who hoped she was above this and onto giving them a wonderful show. In fact, a lot of people there said she acted inappropriately and they wanted to see her sing, not have her rudely lecture them, torment the president with her dullish and mean spirited routine, that aides and comforts the enemy while we are at war.

43. THAT'S THE PROBLEM WITH THESE OVERPAID OVERRATED CELEBS. THEY REALLY THINK THAT PEOPLE CARE WHAT THEY THINK ABOUT ISSUES. THEIR OPINION MEANS NOTHING. I FEEL SORRY FOR THOSE PEOPLE WHO PAID ALL THAT MONEY AT THAT SHOW AND HAD TO ENDURE HER UNFUNNY POLITICAL RANTS. SHE REALLY NEEDS TO GET OVER HERSELF, SHE IS NOT WHAT SHE USED TO BE. SHE NEEDS TO REMEMBER SHE IS A SINGER NOT A STAND UP COMIC. SHE SHOWED HOW LITTLE CLAS SHE HAS BY SWEARING LIKE THAT. IT SHOWS MONEY DON'T BUY CLASS. I SEEN THE VIDEO, SHE LOOKS LIKE A MAN IN DRAG. JUST NASTY. COULD YOU IMAGINE WHAT HER HUSBAND HAS TO LOOK AT IN THE MORNING. UGGH

44. Its very easy to have all these high minded values when you live in one of the most exclusive neighborhoods in the world. I will never begrudge ANYONE the right to make as much money as possible, but reality is this.... she is a singer, a very talented singer, but a singer. Who cares what she thnks??? SHUT UP AND SING!!!!!!
