Babs' F-Bomb More Powerful Than Nuclear Bomb

Barbra StreisandAs the world copes with the news of North Korea's alleged nuclear testing, there's another explosive event making an even bigger impact in the international community -- Barbra Streisand's F-Bomb.

It all went down during a bit in Streisand's concert in New York City last night, which featured a humorous routine with a George Bush impersonator -- similar to this clip obtained by TMZ. The act drew a few jeers and heckles from the crowd. and after imploring the audience to "be polite" failed, Babs shot back, "Shut the f**k up! Shut up if you can't take a joke!" Oh, Snap!

But the news of Barbra Streisand telling the heckler to "shut the f**k up" isn't just news here in the States -- apparently Babs is big in Africa and Malaysia, too.

We spoke to Streisand's publicist Ken Sunshine earlier today, and he told us that he's gotten interview requests from press outlets in those places and beyond.

"There seems to be a lot of interest about one comedic part of a long show. But when anyone buys a ticket to a Streisand show, they're getting the greatest voice in the world and someone whose politics are very clear," Sunshine told TMZ.

But if you think a little heckling is gonna get the "Yentl" star down, think again. "The bit with the Bush impersonator is comedy, everyone knows it's comedy," Sunshine said. "There are always a healthy percentage of Republicans at her shows, they know her politics. They go for the music, the fun, and the performance. Barbra is obviously unfazed by the incident."

The lesson, as always: Don't f**k with Babs.

91. Who cares about her personal political opinions. She sings and that is about all. This is a woman who supported a President who had sex with a young woman in the oval office. Nice values Babs and by the way, do you kiss your mother with that mouth. You are a real class act. If it is too hot in the auditorium maybe you should just give up your singing career.

92. Bush's presidency is circling the drain? How's that? He can't be reelected again so he'll have done the max of 8 years which is all he can do legally. Obviously there are more smart people in this country than dumb ones because he was reelected for a second term, so the proof is in the pudding. And maybe his brother Jeb Bush, the governor of FL, will be next? So you and B.S. can all bash Bush with all of your typical misguided information ALL you want but he ain't goin' no-where! So you all can just bitch and complain to your little hearts content and guess what? it doesn’t matter! lts just a bunch of wasted air! It doesn't mean anything! :) And regarding Barbra Streisand, a.k.a. B.S., just because she can sing doesn't mean we care to spend $350+ hard earned dollars to hear her political views! Does she think that just because she can sing that that means we give a rat's rump what her views are on President Bush? No more than we care about any other big-headed celebrity who actually believe that we really care about their opinions just because they're rich, famous and spoiled! They're just entertainers. Nothing more. Just as Laura Ingraham said last night on The O'Reilly Factor concerning Ted Turner, "Having money doesn't buy you brains"! He 'doesn't know which side to be on'! Is that REALLY a question in some people's minds? SCARY!

94. Geez, people! All this hoopla over a lady defending her beliefs to a
knuckle-head heckler? If you are a Streisand fan, you pay your
money, you know her political stance and you should expect her to
voice her opinions in a public forum. Whatever happened to freedom
of speech? Just because she is not a fan of Bush (does he still have
any?), does not mean she is un-American, does not mean she has
turned her back on our troops, etc. All this for a tongue-in-cheek comedy sketch?
This lady has personally donated
millions of her own money to make the world a better place. If all
the "nay-sayer" folks posting their scathing remarks on this site put
a little more effort into making this world a better place..well, just
imagine! Personally, I paid big bucks for tickets to the Atlantic
City concert and can hardly wait!! Sure the ticket price is high but
well worth the investment; not only to see a true "American" icon but
also money channeled to her foundation for the good of us all. For
cryin'-out-loud, folks..lighten up!

98. she needs to join the other limousine liberal movie stars and just leave the country like they all promised to do if Bush won the election! big nosed horse face and all the others need to do what they do best-PERFORM. leave the acting and singing to the actors and singers and stop trying to use their celebrity to influence the country with their political views, many of them hardly have high school educations. leave the politics up to politicians and those educated enough to make decisions and draw intellectual conclusions. people paid a fortune to hear her sing.....thats all they should have gotten, a concert!

99. That explains it Charity, you get your news from FOX? Wow you are misinformed. By the way I'm not bitching or complaining. I celebrating that fact that the Repugs are going to lose the house and several senate seats and that George has less than two years left to screw up our economy and to have our troops killed in a false war invented by him and his cronies all based on lies. Remember he told us that Afghanistan was responsible for 9/11 (we were all behind him then) as a ruse to get us over there, it was then easier for him to pull a fast one, shift the blame and attacked Iraq (which was his goal from the beginning and is why we no longer believe or back him). You can spout your conservative mantra over and over it not going change the fact that the Repugs have self destructed, right before the mid-terms. And nothing could be sweeter.

Jeb Bush, hehehe, I can’t even comment on that but a cold day in hell does come to mind. And this also includes my republican friends opinions. Of course they are “real” republicans, not the uber conservative religious bunch. They’re old school, keep government out of my life and take care of my money types. Not the “if you don’t believe that same things I do you’re immoral” type.

As far as paying $350 to see Barbra Streisand. Well I would never pay that much to see her in the first place but it has nothing to do with a 5 second statement she made during a 90 minute show. I just don’t go for her music.

What really scary is that fact that you watch the O’Reilly Factor (the biggest lying loser Repug on the face of the earth) and quote it, speaks volumes about you and your slant on politics. Girl you need to change the channel once in a while.

100. POOR, POOR J.R. Shackel! If you know that this lady? has "personally donated millions to make this world a better place" I wish you would tell us how much and in just which ways she has. YOU CAN BE SURE she received a tax write-off for any such donations out of her probable billions, assuming she reported her income properly to the IRS. And, I wonder about what donations she has given that "husband" of hers to keep him around and also if they file a joint return or file separately and if they have ever been audited by the IRS. Will you be getting a tax writeoff for the "big bucks" you paid for the concert in Atlantic City? If so, I doubt that the IRS would consider it legit, but then who knows since the Clintons were evidentally there at the one last night . You can be assured they will be taking any and all deductions they can get their greedy grubby hands on. I WONDER IF MONICA LEWINSKY has attended or wants to attend any of the concerts . I do hope the poor girl doesn't fantasize that she was there sitting next to him instead of his wife, HELLACIOUS Hillary. And, I hope that Clinton wasn't wishing it was Monica rather than his wife - especially since it was their wedding anniversary!
I hope I haven't "rained on your parade" so to sing, but perhaps you should "invest " in an Economics 101 course rather than concert tickets in the future. I hope you enjoy the concert (TRALA) if you decide not to or cannot

101. Babs' actions show that she's of the mind that someone gives a F*** what she thinks. I wouldn't pay one red cent to see her perform, and as a performer, she needs to do just that - PERFORM and limit her political opinions to a forum where she can at the very least allow an OPPOSING VIEW. Her little stunt here is not only disrespectful to the President, but it also shows her COWARDICE since she wouldn't allow any type of rebuttal.

102. Speaking of deductions and making this world a better place, how 'bout rounding up all her cd's, lp's, 8 tracks, videos and any other "barbra" thing and donating to the Aids Foundation. I am quite sure that they would really appreciate it and you all could really feel good about saving the environment from dumping her trash and filth in the landfill or ocean. Me thinks it is her refuse that has caused the current e-coli problem in MALIBOO! Be sure to get a receipt for any such donations and be sure to take a decuction for same if you are so entitled.

103. Her concerts continue to completely sellout. I don't buy for one minute that any of you people, who are claiming to get rid of your tickets due to her F-Bomb in NYC , have even purchased a ticket for a BABS show. She doesn't need your asses. She can sell tickets without you and has for years. Republicans have not gone to her concerts for years and she could care less. Face the F-Bomb!

104. After reading these countless vitriolic-in-the-extreme comments (with their corresponding syntax and punctuation blunders) I've decided that maybe we in this nation should concern ourselves less with celebrities and their political views and focus more on educating ourselves. Jeez, so much emotion and ignorance!

105. What I find interesting is that the heckler found no problem with interrupting the program and she came back with a topper. And ... it's only America's favorite four-letter word, or I wouldn't be hearing it (from kids of all ages) hundreds of times a day, and night. Can you find anything more important to make into a big deal?
Or is this a historical event? Think about it!
