18. # 6, #7 and #15, remember the old adage "if you can't say something nice....." what good does it do anyone to make disrespectful and mean comments. I doubt that if your loved one died that you would appreciate someone saying "Oh they lost a loved one...BOO HOO HOO!". Whatever happened to compassion.

20. Why bother trying to rationalize the idiots who leave those negative comments? They are doing it for attention they are obviously lacking in their off-line life. It's like a battle of wits with an unarmed idiot. Consider the source and ignore them. Steve Irwin did so much for conservation and environmentalism, and Bindi has her father's presence. Steve's gift to the world was education of wildlife and wildlife conservation, and his family will carry on with that same gift. Terri Irwin said it best, "We now must carry on for Steve, and become wildlife warriors." God bless her and her family. I know Steve is very proud of them all.

I really hope that the persons that added those rude comments are nothing but idiot 12 year olds, because thats what they sound like~~They need to find new ways to get attention~~And for the Irwin family, I hope that God brings them happiness and hope, and I think that it's great what Steve did and what Bindi will continue doing!!~~We obviously need more people like them in the world!!

They should have NEVER AIRED #6 &7's in-humane comments regarding Steve Irwin's death.

Those kind of just want attention and that's exactly what AOL has given them by posting it and the readers who gave them their time by reading them and posting comments regarding the incideous, inappropriate and meaningless idiotic retoric.

24. I just have a comment about Steve Irwin being an "publicity whore". OK so that is the name of the game... get the word out. If the people dont listen.. well then you must be louder and larger than life..... We musn't forget or stop listening. Watching him go into east timor and save those 2 crocs. and take his time and money to build them new enclosures in a war torn country.. Or Charlie the croc that lived in a 40 x 40 concrete pit for his whole life, He now lives at the zoo in a natural environment. Or the 100s of crocs he caught and released to new environment to be saved from being killed by humans. I think that is a mission that deserves more publicity

Let me see if I understand how this works: If you agree that Steve Irwin and his recently sainted family are/were the "most special wonderful people in the whole wide world" then it's OKAY to leave comments along that line...BUT, if you think maybe Mr. Irwin was a little more concerned with making the magic green stuff (i.e.$$) then you need the permission of Derek and Rob to post? Is that how it is? Why is it since this saint has died his "blokes" down under have taken it upon themselves to kill Stingrays. How is that conservation? Steve Irwin died because he got to close to a wild animal and its oh so sad BOO HOO HOO!! Steve Irwin and his family will ride this gravy train until the wheels come off, but wait Steve Irwin is DEAD: so whose operating the cash register at the Australian Zoo...why it's little Bindi and sweet baby Bob, anit that nice!

29. #25 - Let me see if I can explain so that maybe even YOU will understand. This is a BLOG where people can comment, pro or con, on the subject story. I think what most of us object to are the mean spirited, nasty comments that are being made by #'s 6, 7, 23. No one condones the murder of the stingrays in retaliation (Steve would be heartbroken). Use your head and don't join these simpletons who can only blast negative, juvenile comments.
