Bindi Bounces Back

Bindi Irwin: Click to watchA month after her father's death, eight-year-old Bindi Irwin is already back to work, filming her own documentary.

"Bindi, The Jungle Girl," a 26-part documentary slated for a January debut on the Discovery Channel, shows the Crocodile Hunter's daughter is ready to step into her dad's shoes. Bindi appeared comfortable and composed while filming scenes with a huge bison for the program. The cutie was all smiles for an interview with the TV show "Australian Story" for her first sit-down interview since Steve Irwin was killed by a stingray in September.

Since her father's death, Bindi has remained a positive fixture in the spotlight. She delivered a moving reading to her late father at his memorial service and just last week presenting an award on his behalf at the Australian Kids' Choice Awards.

Though it may seem like too much too soon, family friend and producer John Stainton tells the TV program, "She is very used to having a crew around ... they are most professional family I've ever worked with. Little Bindi, she is just a chip off the old block."

Bindi is also reportedly set to star in a fitness DVD which boasts her singing and dancing debut.

16. In response to Corvette Stingray, who apparently can bash a little girl and her family without having the balls to use a real name - just FYI - the family OWNS the Australia Zoo, so even if Bindi or Terri and the little boy never stepped outside their home again, they would still receive income from owning the wildlife conservation zoo. Also, if you'd watch any interviews of the family - Terri's family was big into conservation and the public education of big cats, and Steve's into the conservation of wildlife in general, mainly reptiles, and general public education on how to preserve the earth. The kids were born into this legacy, they love it. Have you ever seen Bindi in her new show? Jungle Girl? It was her choice to continue, they all let it be up to her. And she wanted to carry on her daddy's legacy.

I know there are so many idiots online who type nasty stuff just for attention, and all I can picture is some old man living in his parents basement wearing dirty boxers and typing nasty, mean things because there is not any other life available to the "bashers". Know your stuff before you comment like an idiot and you are totally uninformed.

21. Daisy Mae
If your so sick of it, I suggest you move along to another blog that won't be so boring to you ESPECIALLY MAKING A COMMENT AT 2:28 a.m.
It's obvious that you are bored anyway to be searching for something that early in the morning.

24. you go for it my love, you are are so talented with all that your Daddy taught you. your Daddy was my hero-and he will live on in you.
He taught the world so much about the wildlife and he enjoyed it so much because he had so much love to give to them. so if you want to carry on in your daddy's footsteps you stand up and be heard-i think it's wrong how some people seem to think that your life is their concern-it is'nt - it's yours and your family's. you do my love what you want to and at the time you feel you can carry out your daddy's good work.
you had such a loving and caring Daddy and that's something to be so very proud . i am the lady who sent you that pretty little necklace and bob that thomas tshirt, and i know that it's little rob's birthday in december-so be sure to look out for the postman my little loves as there will be something coming for all of you.
take care now
love and best wishes to you all

25. Dear God!! The main stream media and the Discovery Channel have reached out with their hooks to grab this child!! Sign Here Bindi..on the dotted line please... This girl lost her father so now we need to fufill The Crocodile Hunter time slot with a "Bindi, the Jungle Girl" episode. Has anyone considered that this child maybe needs something else like ...a childhood possibly? This makes my stomach turn...they'll probably here wear some leopard skin bikini where she'll be prey to some Jon Benet sicko wannabe! Hope they don't put her in some dangerous situation just to get a good camera angle--- I hope the Child Labor Laws watch this!!

26. Some of you people posting are downright mean. She is a little girl. I think it takes alot of courage to do what she is doing. Just losing her father in the manner that she did. Carrying on his legacy like this is BEAUTIFUL. Period. Her father had such passion for what he did. She learned that from her father. The world needs more people like this.
As for #2...Pimping you daughter...someone has to pay the bills? Im sorry They have more than enough money...Hello her Grandfather OWNS THE ZOO. Her FATHER RAN IT. This isnt somrthing being done for money. Its called a cause..a passion...doing something for your world. GROW UP AND STOP HATING PEOPLE TO MAKE YOURSELF FEEL BETTER FOR YOUR OWN SHORTFALLS IN YOUR LIFE. REMEMBER SHES A CHILD.

We could all learn a thing or two from this little girls strength and love. God Bless her and her family.

30. Terri needs to take these kids back home to Australia NOW and let them be normal. It's too soon to for them to be doing this. Kids need more than a 4 months to adjust to the death of a parent.

What Steve Irwin did was great. He was a bit annoying, but he had good intentions. His work can be carried on.....but not by his kids now. The work will still be there in 6 months - may be a year.

Let kids be kids - too many things have happened to young children forced or introduced into the spotlight. Kids need to be kids!
