Alison Clinton: I'm Not the Other Woman

She's the woman named in Sara Evans' explosive divorce papers but Alison Clinton is fighting back claims she committed adultery with the country singer's husband.

"It's just devastating. It absolutely feels like a death, there's just no explanation for it," Clinton tells "EXTRA," "it just kills me inside ... I cry myself to sleep every night."

Clinton was a former nanny for the "Dancing with the Stars" contestant, who is set to announce her resignation from the show this evening, and claims her reason for leaving the job was not due to any affair with Craig Schelske but to an eating disorder. Clinton adds Evans was even the matron of honor at her recent wedding.

Obviously unhappy with the allegations, Clinton is threatening to sue Evans if she doesn't remove her name in the divorce papers and adds she'd even submit to a lie detector test if necessary.

The full interview with Clinton airs tonight on "EXTRA."

77. I really hate how the media doesn't tell the whole story to sensationalize the issue at hand. Honestly, Sara sounds like she may be bipolar. If she was having an episode, she has no control overe her own mind. The media already knows if she is mentally ill. People, you just need understand the disease. Many things sound crazy, but if you understood the disease, you would not be so quick to judge, and not hate everyone that does things to people that you don't understand. I do, because I have a family member that is bipolar and it is a horrible disease. Read up on it and you will change your attitude. Watch and see if it doesn't come out that Sara is mentally ill right now.

78. Sara Evans seems like a sweet, sensible, caring wife and mother who ended up with the wrong man. She's not the first, and won't be the last, but it's sad every time it happens.

84. Sara is just like any other woman, that finds out that her husband cheated on her, it's hurts. Just keep up the good work. she will be rewarded in the end. What goes around,comes around. She is a very pretty woman.

86. Country music stars... Go figure! Why can't they just be nice, normal people, like R&B stars like R. Kelly?

The important thing to remember here is that everyone, and I mean everyone, here is telling a kernel of truth. Sara Evans is probably wigging out a bit, she is probably trying to find a way out of the TV show that isn't a total cop-out, and she is probably exaggerating. The nanny is probably battling an eating disorder, is probably having an affair with the husband and is probably counter-suing because it is a legal strategy, not a claim of complete innocence. The husband is probably messing around and is probably egging both sides on, then standing back, enjoying the lightshow from the flying sparks.

If we've learned anything from tabloid journalism, it is that it's all true in degrees. It's only a matter of time.

87. If Sara was "so" concerned about her children, WHY would she want to expose them to all this nationally known crap?? This will hurt those kids for the rest of their lives! Sara is just pulling a huge publicity scam!! It's a shame that she is hurting so many people!
