SHE COULD HAVE ADOPTED SOME CHILD WITHOUT PARENTS INSTEAD SHE DID LIKE IF YOU WENT TO BUY A PUPPY AT A PET STORE, HAVE THEM BRING HER SOME KIDS AND LET HER PICK ONE OUT. IT IS A PATHETIC TREND THESE CELEBRITIES ARE DOING STARTED BY ANGELINA JOLIE. MADONNA IS A COPY CAT. WHAT ABOUT ALL THE KIDS THAT NEED HELP HERE??? WHAT ABOUT ROMANIA? WHY GO TO FRIGIN AFRICA? HELP THE PEOPLE, ADOPTING ONE KID ISN'T GOING TO CHANGE THE WORLD. THEY'LL JUST GROW UP TO BE SOME SPOILED PUNKS LIKE MOST OF THESE CELEBRITY KIDS. AND WHAT'S UP WITH HER ENGLISH ACCENT? 34. I'm tired of hearing about how wonderful the homewrecker Angelina Jolie is. She's as self-serving as the rest of them. (Want to dispute that? Then why did she gladly use the services of a military dictatorship when she went to Africa to sh*t out her kid?)

Jolie started a wonderful trend - get good publicity by constantly surrounding yourself with poor black kids in Africa.

I am sorry you find it so unexceptable for a "celebrity" to adopt a child or to even accuse anyone of doing it for favorable publicity, even from a "has been" celebrity like Madonna who you might think might be trying to "one up" Brad and Angelina. I am not sure who you are or where your thinking comes from, but I am quite appalled at your comments. Madonna doesn't ask for the publicity, it just happens to follow her--regardless to what you think. I applaude her and her family for doing this. I just do not understand the callous thinking of some of you who make this seem like it is just some horrible thing that she did. Sorry, I am just not UNDERSTANDING what the problem is. I say, good for her, good for her family and good for David who was blessed enough to get out of that orphanage and have a shot at a decent life by an incredible mother and family.

Ok as an adoptive parent who has an adopted child from a very poor country I feel this has to be said.This child that Madona and her husband Guy have decided to open there hearts and there home to, will have a wonderful life! If they hadnt adopted him he would be living in poverty and desease. So let me see ? I don't get it! Am i missing something here??? Whether they crossed all there tts and dotted all there iis does it really matter to this little boy who now has a wonderfull second chance at life. I think that these adoption groups who ever they are should think about whats best for the child. As for the people who are judging this couple. Have they ever thought about adopting a child from a poor country? So they are famouse so what. How many of Americans will stand up and make alot of noise about this but they would never even dream of doing it themselves. I applaud them for taking a chance on this little boy. Im glad I did!

40. She should give the kid back to his ungrateful asshole of a father and not give them one dime of her money. Then they'd be crying, "oh Madonna gave back my baby, we just wanted more of her money not the kid." I guess they're losers fathers in Africa as well. You all want to see this end so why not toss him back into the dilapidated orphanage where he belongs!

41. Madonna does not need to defend herself against her good-for-nothing critics. The truth is she does not even need to adopt a child from Malawi to get whatever publicity she wants from her trip to Africa. She really does care and it showed.

She visited orphanages in remote Malawian towns and gave them money. Most Americans would prefer to visit exotic islands for their vacations; she chose to make a difference. Angelina Jolie had challenged wealthy Americans to try and do a little bit more to help the poor and under-privileged, she responded.

Why can't the so called rights activists and other 'concerned critics' focus their efforts on helping the thousands of kids who are being smuggled out of Africa every year for child labor? Who exactly is fighting for those kids?

42. I hope that child is the baddest little brat she ever had to deal with. Then she will realize that adopting a child is not like taking a sad little puppy home from the pet store and making their life better. She could have given this child and his father a wonderful life in Africa why did she fell so compelled to bring this child back with her? (excuse me BROUGHT TO HER) Was it a bonding experience like when Angelina saw Maddox? I doubt it. Am so disgusted she already stated she sometimes feels like a bad mother to her own kids because of her schedule and hectic life. Now she has 3 kids under 10.

I hope her nannies and people around her expose her and show that she doesn't hold care for, or handle the baby like Angelina always does. You rarely see Angelina without her kids, let's see if the same is true for Madonna.

Wow..how difficult is to be a washed up hag? You need to achieve the following in less than a year:
200.000.000 US$ revenue from a 60 night show in summer 2006.
Number 1 album that topped the chart in 40 countries across the globe
Number 1 single topping charts in 43 countries.
10.000.000 album sales since its release in November 2006.
A happy family. Two kids that have perfect education.
A 10 year old daughter who speaks French fluently without an accent
A cause that she is supporting for years- Spirituality For Kids where she donates all the profits from her books (how many people know that she gets nothing in her pocket out of her books). Raising Malawi project that is up and running publicly since May 2006 (not just last week's Malawi visit!!!).

I wish I could achieve a fraction of this when I am 48!
