1. They molest innocent childrens ..Watch 20/20--60mins--How many black man are shown.

34. #35 your priceless, you fall right into defense mode, that%u2019s so typical of us. Am training to be-- now catch this-- a motivational speaker in my community but the difference will be we need a more forceful approach. Am not going to sugar coat things as we have done over the years, and that's what your doing in your comment-- your evading the issue.

It's so senseless and typical for our race to point blame elsewhere when we have a negative statistic that needs addressing in the community. Why do we do this? It's not a productive or progressive thing to do. We do it because it makes us feel better in our state of inactivity and moral debauchery.

The fact of the matter is we should never compare ourselves to other races particularly white people. Some of the things you stated are true but what are the facts, the facts are we are a MINORITY if you don't know what that word means, am sure you do-- look it up. What that means is negative statistics should NEVER be close to the MAJORITIES statistics and diffidently not pass them. Simply put-- if you had 100 orange people out of 400 acting a fool---- then you had 100 yellow people out of 200 acting a fool. Who does it affect most, who will come out looking and SEEMING worst who's community will be affected most?

We are a minority in this country, and negative statistics should never mirror that of the majority. Simply put we can't afford it for our communitiy's sake.

I have to say that I agree with white girl.

In regards to your "points" that you took the time to make for us, I have a few of my own that I thought i would share as well.

1. A lot of blacks are very articulate. Just because someone speaks slang and uses ebonics on the streets doesn't mean they cannot use proper english and be articulate when necessary.

2. 1 in 3 black men will go to jail at some point in their lives because blacks are more targeted than any other race,so it only makes since. (fyi I have said this before and will say this again. People shouldnt have to much confidence in something like a statistic. Why put so much faith into information that can be easily manipulated and misleading?)

3. 70% of blacks are born to single family homes. That is only perceived because there are a huge number of black women that are not likely to report that they have a man at home because a lot of times it means having their medical and other benefits suffer as a result.

4. I am not mad at those that are always thinking negative about blacks. It is hard to think otherwise,when you are always having the media focusing on the negative things that blacks do. I find it funny how things that other races do are always quick to get hushed.

5. Like white girl said also, I too am sick of everytime someone black is posted here, you always have someone to be quick to focus on their race. I dont see anyone focusing on the race of all the school shootings that has been happening for the past couple of years. I can truly go on and on with examples,but what good will that do?

38. Nikia#38 and Ghetto Tiffany#39, an example of my fellow black sisters looking to lessen and avoid the problems we face in our community by doing two things:

1.) Not focusing on the issue at hand
2.) Trying to make a wrong not look so bad by including others when the issues about you

I can tell your ghetto Nikia yes I said it-- like I said before am training to become a NEW AGE no holding back motivational speaker let me tell you why your ghetto:

1.) You stated that black people are really articulate that they may just use slang on the street. Is that a fact? Or once again did you create a way to handle this unfortunate reality. Black people are not as articulate as we should be. And it’s being exaggerated by the fact that Hip-Hop is the focal point of our media image. And this comes from a girl raised in Bronx NY I went to inner city schools, I just choose and realized that you must be diverse in this world and be able to communicate with anyone. And again stop evading the issue you know it's a fact I know it's a fact do you think others don’t know this-- so how will our race progress if you tell yourself this is not a problem.
So Bill Cosby is angry about the same situation just because right?

2.) You claim that black men are targeted and that's why the statistic of black men going to jail is so high? Well why do we fall into stereotype why is there usually an incident when black men are approach. You could stop my brother anytime of the day and in fact he has gotten stopped many times before and there’s no incident or problem because of who he is, he’s a law abiding citizen. Now if more black men could follow suit maybe the police will get tired of “targeting” the “innocent”. I agree that racial profiling does exist but that doesn’t mean anything when you fall into stereotype if we didn't they won't do it like I said before no one what’s to look like a fool or stupid.

3.) This is your most ghetto and sad statement--70% of black children are born in single-family homes because the mothers don't report the men they live with. Are you for real-- I can tell your background already and don't get me wrong I realize this is typical in our community? Honey--MARRIAGE is what I was referring to-- notice how your on the live in boyfriend level, on the level of being with a man that won't claim you under GOD that's what a lot of black women are facing these days, because of ourselves but also because black men aren't up to park. Do you know that 72% of white women get married before 30--Hispanic women is 67%--and black women only 42% of us get married before 30. Am not sure if you wanted to say that you wouldn’t get your WELFARE if you claim a boyfriend but it sounds that way to me only you know. Medicare goes to children no matter what. Get it together.

4.) And FINALLY the media is not against us where against ourselves. Be honest did you like the Dave Chapelle show?, do you watch the butt popping videos making all black women seem as if where animalistically horny gold diggers diving for cash. The media's not at fault and the bottom line is if we didn't fall into stereotype we would have a leg to stand on but we do. You obviously didn't read my #36 post where I stated we can't afford to focus on the negative statistics of another race particularly because we are a MINORITY you can't compare yourself to the MAJORITY. So it doesn't matter if there where 3 school shooting incidents this year white people being behind all of them. It doesn’t matter when 1 in 3 black men go to jail at some point in life and we are again a MINORITY it becomes pathetic year after year after year after year.

My dear Tiffany I read your post and again it’s just another way to cop out and find excuses. I hope you’re not overweight as many of our sisters are GENERALLY. When has this image worked? Black women we are considered the bottom of the barrel. Have you ever noticed that you can lie to yourself and think that other women are trying to emulate us but that's not true. Societies perception of black women is that we are hard and confrontational always ready to tell someone off (that’s why I hate Medea you probably love her ) and as far as our looks am actually a cosmetologist and I gringe when I see a black sister with a rag on her head which seems too common these days. They fought to get the rag off of Aunt Jermina head on the pancake box then black girls pick it up and put it on theirs. It's a homeless, don't care, lazy look. I always encourage my clients to pick a style they can maintain.

Aside from having a little butt I unlike you don't see white women trying to emulate us and unfortunately it took J. Lo (who's not black) to make that craze catch on. Thick is not fit unless your doctor says so, stop trying to make yourself feel better by convincing yourself otherwise it doesn't reflect well on our image. Only lower class men or men with lower goals seem to be content with a women who is overweight. It is not attractive nor is it healthy. I can almost bet that an accomplished man black or white would not prefer a thick, curvy women. Aside from LL AND Rev Runs wife (and they seemingly got fat over time) I can't think of any fat or overweight black women hanging on an accomplished man's arm. Celebrity men like Jamie Fox will lie and say he likes a thick Oprah like lady but he’s been tied with a very light European black model recently. I can promise you we’ll never see him with an overweight woman except Oprah for pictures. WE MUST WORK ON OUR IMAGE. It's easy to be lazy and sit around eating and not EXERCISING convincing yourself it's ok your thick. But you won't be respected in society at large maybe just in your hood.
By the way I can tell your of the GHETTO type TIFFANY by how you get frustrated then feel the need to curse and become GHETTO FABULOUS lol I would hate to meet you in person.

NIKIA you'll be ok you just need to change some of your mentalities--no man should live with your kids and you receive state benefits--you mean well but that's GHETTO
