Sara Evans: I'd Kill My Husband if He Cheated

Before Sara Evans accused her estranged husband of being a sex-crazed maniac, the country singer once promised to kill Craig Schelske if she ever caught him messin' around behind her back.

Back at last years premiere of the film "Walk the Line," Evans was fielding questions on her single "Cheatin" to New York's WPLJ-FM's Scott & Todd when she was asked what her reaction would be if she ever caught her husband cheating. Evans responded, "You know, I'd kill him -- but that's never going to happen, I have a great guy." Evans then offers listeners some advice on how to deal with a cheater, saying "Give them one more chance and if they do it again, kill em!"

Evans recently filed divorce papers accusing Schelske of having an affair with the couple's nanny. Evans also claims Schelske had photos of himself having sex with other women and had at least 100 nude photos of himself in a state of arousal.

46. Lee I totally agree with you! and jF? if you're gonna call someone a name? at least spell COUNTRY right LOL!!!!! even if he didn't cheat on her I do NOT blame her for leaving him, get her children away from that freak. Why is everyone blaming the publicity on Sara in the first place? I watch the entertainment shows with my husband and we've NEVER seen Sara on there, it's always either the nanny or the father/husband o.O I for one do not believe the nanny or the father, the nanny I don't believe because well..it's obvious she's an attention seeker and the father because well...he put those pictures on his computer where all the world could see it..possibly his OWN CHILDREN

49. I remember that Uma Thurman recently broke up and she said something to the effect that about 50% of marriages end in divorce and unfortunately hers was one of them, and that she would never say anything publicly that is negative about the father of her children, because she knows it would only hurt the children.

Too bad Sara isn't mature enough to understand this. Sara seems pretty unbalance to me, maybe some medication and rest will help. Her former best friend seems honestly shock about these accusations. How would anyone handle being falsely accused of adultry in legal documents?

50. again, it's not Sara going to the public, it's the people at dancing with the stars and the entertainment people and the husband/father and the nanny o.O If it's anyone that's immature it's the nanny and the father/husband because Sara went on a diet for her baby fat and so did her already skinny friend? c'mon

51. Its easy to say "I'd kill him if he ever....." but when it actually happens to you your so dumbfounded that you dont know what to do or say. Saying those words is the easiest part of being cheated on especially where real emotions and feelings are envolved because the days following are the toughest I've ever had to deal with. I forgave the man that cheated on me but the thought never goes away that what if there doing it again. "shame on you if you fool me once, shame on me if you fool me twice."

52. Why does everyone assume that he cheated on her? The nanny was willing to take a lie detector test which shows she trusts her confidence and wouldnt suggest something that could incriminate her. I am more concerned about Sara's mental state by even mentioning (joking or not) that she'd kill her husband if he ever cheated. I am married but that's the last thing I would do much less think of which is to kill my husband if he cheated. I would just leave him. I think the lie detector test that nanny takes will shed a lot of light on whether she is innocent but let's not point fingers - judge not lest you be judged. Remember that? Innocent until proven guilty? Remember that?

It wouldnt surprise me if all of this was just a way to draw more attention to Dancing with Stars. I mean, look at Mario Lopez's "scandal" with Eva Longoria. People will do whatever is necessary to come out on top and don't assume that those involved in this scandal are innocent & arent in some way responsible for creating a false scandal story (money talks) - one that is possibly completely untrue. Personally I'm sick of it already and I think it's time we all move on.

53. totally agree Erica. I'm sure the people talking bad about Sara would do or say the exact same things if they were cheated on also, especially if it was their bestfriend, and I'm sure they'd act the same way if their husband/boyfriend/father of their children were exposed to all that

54. Sara Evans is such a beautiful and talented young lady, suh does not have to put with a cheater. She can go on with her life but what will he be without her?

55. This is to mind-in-the-gutter PITA:
Tony Dovolani is happily married and lives with his wife and young child. He is a very much sought after and therefore very busy Professional Dancer. Give him the credit to be smart enough to not ruin everything for any woman, let alone Sara Evans.
Give me a break

59. I'm confused because I thought that divorce documents were always available for public record, but some people seem to be saying that they could have done it privately. Are there two options?

Sara was very explicit in her filings (which I believe is where most criticism is coming from), but I understood it to be for the restraining order and custody of the children, since she obviously believes that it's detrimental for the children to be around him with his porn. addiction. I don't blame her. Since they have a lot of money (which she was almost completely responsible for earning), she's probably concerned about her monetary assets as well (there's probably no prenups, like Jennifer Anniston had, since they married when neither had money). I do feel for the children, because they are always the ones that get hurt the most.

And jFb, Sara Evans was very well known in the country scene, and her career was far from spiraling downward. I think she's probably near the top of her career right now, and this whole divorce has the potential to be worse for her career than good for it.

And please, your comment about "c**try trash" is so stereotypical and outdated. This is the biggest country scandal in a long time. We're far from keeping up with the rest of entertainment business.
