Celebrity Feuds
Isaiah Washington -- A Terror on the Set?

Patrick DempseyIsaiah Washington got into it big time with Patrick Dempsey on the set of 'Grey's Anatomy.' Now TMZ has learned that Washington has had other on-set blowups.

A simmering feud between the two actors bubbled over last week, when Washington reportedly got in Dempsey's face, said some "disgusting things," then allegedly pushed "McDreamy" against a wall and choked him. We're told the incident was so intense it shut down production for a short time.

Now TMZ has learned of two other incidents that make Washington sound like "Dr. McNightmare." In the year 2000, Washington was shooting the TV show "Soul Food" for Showtime in Toronto. Washington and an actress, who played his wife, were shooting a scene in which Isaiah was supposed to give the woman a superficial kiss. We're told to the horror of everyone, Washington grabbed the woman and planted a "forceful, aggressive kiss."

The actress became irate, which then infuriated Washington who began screaming at her. At that point the director stepped in to correct Washington, and the actor went off on him. Executive Producer Tracey Edmonds then took over and Washington went off on her.

In 1997 there was yet another incident on the set of the TV show "High Incident." Washington was a guest star on the show, but we're told the gig ended abruptly after the actor had a physical altercation with a crew member. We're told it was serious enough that police were called.

As for the "Grey's Anatomy" melee, there are reports that Washington taunted Dempsey by saying, "I'm not your little faggot like [name redacted]," referring to a fellow cast member. Yesterday, "Grey's" cast member T.R. Knight revealed to PEOPLE magazine that he's gay, possibly prompted by public revelation of Washington's outburst.

17. Actually, when they announced someone on the set was gay, my first thought was Isaiah Washington. Anyone who such has strong opinions about a race or life-style, usually has concerns about themselves. What you hate about someone else is what you hate about yourself.

18. hey ellis I guess you don't ever see white folks losing their temper or going off on people or doing things out of anger in the world you live in.Its not a color thing its an attitude thing you need to get out more and stop pre-judging based on color!

19. Can you imagine tolerating that behavior in any other workplace? Fire him if he has no more self control than he has exhabited thus far! He is a dangerous man carried away with his own self importance. The show will get along fine without him.

20. the same people who don't believe in the preponderance of incontrovertible evidence in favor of supporting washington's aggressive behavior towards others are the same people who still believe that nicole brown's husband had nothing to do with her execution. welcome to fantasyland.

22. People make the WORLD go a'round........there are weapons of mass destruction..............,"What I'm really saying is that we need more SECURITY everywhere, even on some of our MOST unlikely stages i.e. the studio or another Country".

23. Its not a black think nor a white thing!!!! Its a personality thing. "We" as a nation need to get over this black and white thing once and for all. We were all made in "God's" image and need to treat each other as such. And when someone goes overboard they should be dealt with equally and not protected or blamed because of their color. In the U.S. we are all "Americans" period. Their should not be any "Asian Americans", "African Americans".......just "Americans"!!! Untill that day our country is doomed to fail for we will fight amongst ourselves while others unite against us.

24. Again, someone has to make it a racial thing....its an overly aggressive MALE that has anger management issues thats all....either get him anger management classes or let him go....as for the LAWYER saying blacks may even be smarter, another reason lawyers are hated, spew crap without anything that you actually could back that statement up with ...go find some rapist or murderer to help them get out of jail

25. I saw Isaiah Washington and Ellen Pompeo on a talk show awhile back and Isaiah Washington hogged the whole interview. Ellen Pompeo was just sitting there like she was afraid to say anything. Mr. McFul-of-himself should quit medicine and go on a very long EGO trip and maybe get lost at sea.

26. In reality none of us really know what happened on the set of GA or what was truly said. Just as we don't know what really happened in this incident, we don't know what really happened with his prior incidents as well. For all we know the statement that was released to the press could have been altered and/or made up all together. If he did make the statement, he should issue a formal apology to whomever he was referencing (whether it was Knight or not). Yes it is possible that he needs to learn how to control his temper better, but I do not believe he should be fired. Furthermore, race should NEVER be made an issue and shame on those of you who have made it one. I will continue to be a fan of GA and separate the actors work from the rumors about the person himself. We all make mistakes and say stupid things when we are stressed out, upset, or angry. Discrimination of any kind should never be tolerated. However, if Mr. Washington was really sorry and just made a mistake, shouldn't we all be able to forgive, forget, and move on?

27. Altercations happened on all white tv shows....like 90210..remember Shanon??..why start using race as an underlying reason...goes to show there are still alot of ignorant racist in this country!!!

28. If this is true, axe him!! I'd still watch GA if he was outie. GROW UP BABE.
Or perhaps take an anger management course. Good luck with THAT problem.

29. I find two things disturbing, first that people are measuring the incident by race and two, that the public gets to have a say on this mans future based on a report from an article in a drop box.
If it is true and the people who manage this show decide to fire him then so be it.
The matter can then be decided in the proper forum that being a court of law or other mediation. Race only becomes a factor when biggoted people make it an issue.
