Celebrity Feuds
Isaiah Washington -- A Terror on the Set?

Patrick DempseyIsaiah Washington got into it big time with Patrick Dempsey on the set of 'Grey's Anatomy.' Now TMZ has learned that Washington has had other on-set blowups.

A simmering feud between the two actors bubbled over last week, when Washington reportedly got in Dempsey's face, said some "disgusting things," then allegedly pushed "McDreamy" against a wall and choked him. We're told the incident was so intense it shut down production for a short time.

Now TMZ has learned of two other incidents that make Washington sound like "Dr. McNightmare." In the year 2000, Washington was shooting the TV show "Soul Food" for Showtime in Toronto. Washington and an actress, who played his wife, were shooting a scene in which Isaiah was supposed to give the woman a superficial kiss. We're told to the horror of everyone, Washington grabbed the woman and planted a "forceful, aggressive kiss."

The actress became irate, which then infuriated Washington who began screaming at her. At that point the director stepped in to correct Washington, and the actor went off on him. Executive Producer Tracey Edmonds then took over and Washington went off on her.

In 1997 there was yet another incident on the set of the TV show "High Incident." Washington was a guest star on the show, but we're told the gig ended abruptly after the actor had a physical altercation with a crew member. We're told it was serious enough that police were called.

As for the "Grey's Anatomy" melee, there are reports that Washington taunted Dempsey by saying, "I'm not your little faggot like [name redacted]," referring to a fellow cast member. Yesterday, "Grey's" cast member T.R. Knight revealed to PEOPLE magazine that he's gay, possibly prompted by public revelation of Washington's outburst.

31. If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen. He seems to have problems wherever he goes, not just on the show.

32. Judging by his history, he apparently, is a danger to work w/. No one should be subjected to that type of behaviour. He should be forced to sit on the "naughty blanket", dropped from the show, (we'll all know why hes gone), forced to attend anger management or not work again, and black-balled! I am fed-up with these actors/ athletes/celebrities that endanger others lives and provide dreadful role models. With their success should come some responsibility for their behaviour or the public should reward them by boycotting their performances.

33. Well Vince, let me say this about that. If you live in or near a large "urban area" turn on your local news and check it out. Yes Vince, white folks go nuts at times also.
You must live in Podunk Iowa.

34. At the very least, from what has been reported, he should be required to undergo anger management or other type of EAP to sort out the issues. Depending on the severity of this incident and after looking into his history of physical violence and verbal abuse in the workplace, other measures up to and including firing him should be strongly considered. There should be zero tolerance for this behavior.

36. I love the show and all the actors. But there is probably another side to this story that we don't know. If Mr. Washington is that much of a bully then fire him. It just seems that the incident is being over dramatized. But thats why we all watch it. Excellent show, and cast. Hope they can mend fences. (if it even really happened.)

37. Don't just look at all the bad incidents that makes Isaiah lose his temper. Look at the people he works with who knows how to push his buttons to fine a way to make him go over the top. Yeah he needs to learn how to control his temper but at the same time he wants to still feel like he can come to a job and not feel like there's alot of anamosity around him. And why isn't there any negative press about Patrick Dempsey, is he really an angel? Does he do no wrong? I can't see one man getting up set about another with out that person doing SOMETHING to make him upset. No one is goin to be mad at some one for being kind to them. Atleast the majority of the time. So check your facts before you label one person and not the next.

38. I'm with #15. What is wrong with us that we put up with this kind of behavior from these overpaid, swell headed, arrogant actors and athletes. People, when are we going to stop defending this kind of behavior and appreciate the people of the world who truly make our lives worthwhile?

39. Tony stop being racial. This is about personal behavior and has nothing to do with his being black or white. I think he is no longer fit to be a role model and should be cut

40. Michele is right. There are real problems to worry about. Like our soldiers that are fighting overseas for your freedom that gives you the right to watch these shows and post comments and complain about what should happen to on someone you never met and will probably never meet and know nothing about the situatiion that really caused it. Yet no one ever mentions the people that are fighting for your right so you can think and say what! Soldiers are dying over there everyday and does anyone ever mention them anymore! Did people forget about 9/11? Do people even realize that a war is going on?

41. This is not a real problem. These people "actors" are millionaires...please...try working where I work. My job is not an easy one and I'm no millionaire.

If this story is true...if he gets really out of hand...kill him off the show. We'll all miss him for about a week. All these actors are replaceable.

42. I'm tired of news of Washington and his pouty, contemptuous behavior. He's clearly emotionally unbalanced. Dump him before his personal problems overshadow the show and threaten the believability of his and other cast members on-screen characters.

43. Everyone is so quick to jump to conclusions when a Black actor is involved. There has been no official confirmation of any aspect of this story and already folks want the man to lose his job. This how we ended up with a war in Iraq....hatemongers wanting to believe the worst before they had all the facts. And, let's face it, white folks have committed some of the most heinous atrocities in modern history. Black men don't have a monopoly on violence and anger! So let's leave race out of this and wait for some official statement from either actor or the show's producers. Patrick has had a hard time getting parts despite his rise in the 80's and I'm sure there is some lore out there about him too.

44. White Girl, we meet again. Why is it that every time that anyone says something negative about a brotha you have to jump in to defend him. With all your professional credentials you seem to gravitate to to the lowest common denominators among us. Here in the Philadelphia (Pa not Miss) area we have just set a new record for murdas. Very few of these were committed (sp?) by blonde haired Swedes, know what I'm sayin?

45. He needs to get some help....OBVIOUSLY! It isn't a black/white issue at all to those that have pulled the race card. Yes, he is an African American with an anger problem who needs some counseling. I assume from what I just read, he used T.R. Knight's name associated with the gay issue. So not only was he in Patrick's face, he pulled yet another cast member in to the issue. Hmmm, tells me he's the one with issues. This article also sited other incidences so please...it's not isolated and it's not racial........
