Celebrity Feuds
Isaiah Washington -- A Terror on the Set?

Patrick DempseyIsaiah Washington got into it big time with Patrick Dempsey on the set of 'Grey's Anatomy.' Now TMZ has learned that Washington has had other on-set blowups.

A simmering feud between the two actors bubbled over last week, when Washington reportedly got in Dempsey's face, said some "disgusting things," then allegedly pushed "McDreamy" against a wall and choked him. We're told the incident was so intense it shut down production for a short time.

Now TMZ has learned of two other incidents that make Washington sound like "Dr. McNightmare." In the year 2000, Washington was shooting the TV show "Soul Food" for Showtime in Toronto. Washington and an actress, who played his wife, were shooting a scene in which Isaiah was supposed to give the woman a superficial kiss. We're told to the horror of everyone, Washington grabbed the woman and planted a "forceful, aggressive kiss."

The actress became irate, which then infuriated Washington who began screaming at her. At that point the director stepped in to correct Washington, and the actor went off on him. Executive Producer Tracey Edmonds then took over and Washington went off on her.

In 1997 there was yet another incident on the set of the TV show "High Incident." Washington was a guest star on the show, but we're told the gig ended abruptly after the actor had a physical altercation with a crew member. We're told it was serious enough that police were called.

As for the "Grey's Anatomy" melee, there are reports that Washington taunted Dempsey by saying, "I'm not your little faggot like [name redacted]," referring to a fellow cast member. Yesterday, "Grey's" cast member T.R. Knight revealed to PEOPLE magazine that he's gay, possibly prompted by public revelation of Washington's outburst.

64. It's a T.V. show, for goodness sakes.
Fire them both and get two more starving artists.
They're a dime a dozen.

65. How childish can Washington get. If it had been the other way around, there would be no question, McDreamy would be fired. I think the sooner Washington is gone, the better for the show.

66. This is some bias reporting. They are quoting incidents that happened years ago with only two different people over a 10 year period. I am to believe that other actors don't have incidents on the set. Actors are human beings. Emotions will show at times. If yoiu are going to establish a pattern of misconduct keep relevant to his current position. Who cares what happened years ago. I am sure there are different opinions that happen at those other incidents. I am sure actor Dempsey has had 1 or 2 problems on the set in his long career.

69. I think that it's stressful enough to be doing these shows. Think about your on jobs, schools, etc we go through alot i've read the comments. We should pray for him that God humbles him and if you don't know what's going on we can't say he's a bad guy. Fighting never solves anything we will always have problems as longs as we are alive. So don't judge him because he's not handling things they way you would. And who's to say that you would handle yourself in the same manner. Again Lets pray all those under the spot light or eye of the public

70. After I heard Washington had a temper and acting up with Dempesy, I started looking at him differently and he has a mean look in his eyes sometime and now I don't think he looks good or anything sexy about him

71. They should treat him the way Hollywood has treated Mel Gibson for his deplorable anti-Semitic comments. In many ways this is worse because for all we know he was sober when he said it AND he did it ON THE JOB. In any other progressive business he'd be out on his ass now.

72. #9 The writer and creator of the show purportedly being black, may be the MAIN REASON for Washington not being fired.
He was a pig to a cohost on the Showtime series SOUL FOOD, got in that show's creator and director's face and got away with it. Oh and they were black women too.
Could this be that this kind of behavior is what is accepted by a great many black women?
The man (and I use that term veeeeeeerry loosely) should be fired, black, white, green. He's not able to handle the fame. He's not deserving of it either if he can't act civil. He's in an ensemble cast and to be frank, many of his cast mates stand out as actors whereas he just strikes me as being "that black male actor on Grey's Anatomy"
I watched Soul Food and didn't remember him from that. THAT is how much his talent stood out to me.
I remember Boris Kodjoe. I remember Vanessa L. Williams. I remember Nicole Ari Meyer. I even remember Tracey Edmonds from her days as a singer called "Pebbles." Plenty of talented Black people in my memory. He's not one of them though.

He's just a man who apparently consistently acts more like an animal. The Mike Tyson of acting perhaps.

73. iI love Grey's Anatomy and all the stars on it equally..I just hope they don't end a wonderful show by acting like little spoiled kids..I lhope they all get an attitude adjustment real soon and stop the bickering..It takes the whole cast to make this show this good -not just one or two of them..but still it's a no -no to make remarks about a person's sexual orentation as much as it's a sin to make a rremark about someones color..maybe they need to all go to anger manageement and learn it's un -acceptable to put hands on other people or make stupid remarks about others-no matter who did what -they are wrong period..ok you grey's anatomy stars -grow up !!--it doesnt matter who was right or wrong-get over the egos and get on with it...

74. If there is a cast member that does not "play well with others" (ever watched Barbara Walter's show,THE VIEW?) they are likely to get their walking papers sooner or later. Look at Tom Cruise, Paramount Studios didn't even want to associate themselves with him. Barbara Walters tossed Star Jones out of the sandbox for not playing nice and there have been many more. If allegations are true, this character will not make it far on GA, you can count on it. Noone wants to work with a BULLY and GA would probably like to stay at the top of the hit list! I know now that I will look at this show with a different take, I wish they would get rid of him.

75. I don't think this should be turned into a black and white issue. Many people have anger problems. Perhaps, Washington should participate in an anger management class.
