46. There is a difference between killing for fashion and killing for survival. The animals killed for fashion include dogs, cats, foxes, etc and they are killed solely for their fur and not for food. They are killed by being skinned alive, electrocuted, and beaten unconscious. Cows and chickens are killed for food and they are killed much more humanely. I dont agree with killing any animal for any reason which is why I chose to be a vegetarian but there is a difference and people cant compare meat eaters to fur lovers as being hypocrites. As for Beyonce, I was a huge fan of hers until I heard about her clothing line and I immediately threw away her CD's and I will never watch another one of her movies, she's on my s**t list with Jennifer Lopez.

And you shouldn't be jealous of a woman who is the same age as your daughters. Its not her fault that they aren't as successful as her. Everybody can't be a multiplatinum multimillionaire with a boyfriend who makes even more. You should know that by now. You sound really bitter. Is it supposed to be your daughters who are famous and all over the place. And which KFC do your children work at now? Maybe they can serve Beyonce some of that chicken and she'll leave them a good tip. And you need to be concerned with the fact that you're a racist and a very sad individual. 53. jennifer, post # 15, you can live without chicken. morningstar foods makes a great fake chicken that is extremely healthy. give it a try if you are so inspired. I haven't had ANY FLESH in two years, and i feel better than ever. Approximately 95 animals a year are spared cruel treatment because i don't eat them. No eggs, except from a local farmer with freerange birds, no fish (Even though the bible says it's ok, it's still flesh to me) and VERY limited dairy. Trying to eliminate that completely, too.

54. #29, colleen, cows don't just MAKE milk.....do you just make milk? no! dairy cows are no different, they need lactation hormones to make milk, which means, they must be pregnant, or nursing a calf or receive hormones. what happens to the calf that would in nature be sustained by the milk? hmmmm, veal.

56. What does it matter how the skin is gotten off of the animal after it's dead. It's not cruel in the least. And I've seen animals skinned, gutted, and a few heads chopped off as I used to work in a vet hospital. So.. next are you going to say that rabies tests are cruel? A body is just a body. After we're dead, who cares what is done with it?
BTW - Rabbit, weasel, fox, and mink - the most widely used animals by furriers are known for carrying rabies if their populations get out of hand. Personally, I think it preserves the health of the animal population as a whole to cull it from time to time. If we get a nice, soft, warm jacket out of it it boot.. hooray for us.
PETA is the real enemy of animals. How can they justify adopting dogs and cats from shelters just so that they can 'save' the animal from being a pet? Or the poisoning of race horses in the name of preserving their rights to do whatever they want instead of being someone's animal? They have an unrealistic view of the world. It's like the people who burn down abortion clinics and kill all the doctors to try to make a point that murdering babies is wrong.
