NBC to Return to Thursday Comedy Glory

Zach Braff, Tina Fey, Steve Carell, Jason LeeBeginning November 30, NBC will air "My Name Is Earl," "The Office," "Scrubs" and "30 Rock" in a row on Thursday nights.

"We are excited about the prospect of two-hours of top-notch comedy on Thursday nights, which includes the return of 'Scrubs,'" Kevin Reilly, President, NBC Entertainment said today. "We will stay on-brand with the best comedy block on television, which will position us for the future on the night."

"Scrubs" has yet to premiere this season while "30 Rock" currently airs Wednesday nights at 8PM ET/PT.

The move is reminiscent of the glory days of NBC when "Friends" and "Seinfeld" anchored NBC's Thursday night schedule leading into the powerhouse drama "ER."

16. Erm, if they put Scrubs and 30 Rock on at 8pm they wouldn't survive because Smallville is on and so is Survivor: Cook Islands and Ugly Betty, at 9pm there is CSI and Grey's Anatomy. So why do you people think those shows are going to survive? o.O

17. Smallville is a horrible show. How can anyone watch a full hour of that dribble? Must be the same group that watches OC or Gilmore Girls. I love these four shows and can't wait for the new lineup.
