46. Um, seems to me that the technical definition of Parkinsons' precludes Fox's ability to fake ANY type of movement. He can't control his movements, therefore, he can't FAKE his movements. Ergo, Rush Limbaugh is an idiot. Of course, as soon as anyone heard him say ‘have you ever noticed how all composite pictures of wanted criminals resemble Jesse Jackson?', the fact that he's an idiot was apparent to non-idiots. Only those as stupid and ignorant as Rush can defend the things he says on a regular basis.

If you disagree with stem cell research, fair enough, that's your opinion and your right. I don't totally disagree, either. To actually insult a man who can't control his movements, by suggesting he's faking them, makes Limbaugh an idiot.

It's one thing to announce that you have Parkinson's. It's another for a public figure, particularly a popular movie and TV actor, to feel comfortable exhibiting Parkinson's tremors in public. Fox made a very personally courageous decision to show his tremors, and the degree to which they've progressed, in the ad. He chose to make a very startling statement about what Parkinson's is, and how badly its patients need new research for better therapies.

As for the Oxy-Moron ... gee will someone PLEASE step forward and take credit for that word? It's a *wonderful* coinage. I'm envious!

It's one thing to be politically conservative. But I hope this 7 November, voters will separate conservatism from vicious and cruel mean-spiritedness. Surely it's possible to be a conservative without being a creepy jerk. Or is the right to be a creepy loudmouth jerk at the core of being conservative?

48. I heard that entire Rush show and he did not mock Fox. Anyone who heard his show would agree. To know Rush is to love Rush. I have been listening to him since he first came on the air in NY. He is very informing and provocative. If you are a liberal you will hate him naturally. If you are a moderate democrate you will be amused by him. If you are a republican like me you will agree with him most of the time. If you are a conservative you will adore him. I hated him at first, but I took the Limbaugh challenge, that is, listened to his show for three days and then make your judgement. I would go crazy with all of the liberal media, hollywood crap out there if it wasn't for Rush and his voice of reason. He merely echoes what we republicans believe. Why do you have to be in your mid 30's with education and money to have something worth saying. I am 40 with a phd, and I am worth at least a couple million. I have worked for every bit of it. But that does NOT mean anything I say means more than another person. ANYWAYS, this has nothing to do with age,education, or money. Its about what people think is "right" and having something to say about it. If you dont agree with it thats fine, but people DO NOT have to get so nasty. That helps no one! I feel sorry for you BlackMetal. You may be older with education and money, but age does NOT mean maturity. Maybe I am making a quick judgement but you might need to go to therapy. I have seen a 16 year old talk with more maturity than you.

54. I cannot fathom why Rush OxyMoron Limbaugh would find it appropriate to presume Michael J Fox was faking his Parkinson's disease. I think this clearly demonstrates how Rush's mind (or lack thereof!) works. What a despicable thing to say about anyone!

As for Stem Cell Research, I understand why there is opposition to it, but where is your opposition to the destruction of the same embryos when the parents decide they don't have use for those embryos? Why is that destruction not worth your protests? And if that is bad too, why don't you volunteer your uterus and home for all those embryos, "God" knows they need a good home.

I always laugh at the "slippery slope" warning that comes up in these discussions, such as what will happen to our society if stem cell research leads to cloning? Ethics and basic human nature will prevail, and to think otherwise demonstrates your lack of faith in humanity. Which is very odd for Conservatives, who typically claim to be religious, love all mankind and such and such. Yeah it's funny to try to reconcile all that.

Your remarks about Michael J. Fox are ignorant, arrogant and self-serving. Obviously you don't know anyone personally who has PD. My husband passed away three years ago from the ravages of Parkinsons Disease.

The medication they are forced to take (Sinemet/Madopar) which allows them a bit of mobility from their frozen states causes horrendous side effects such as uncontrollable movements, spasms, spastic gestures, personality changes amongst many other miserable side effects. My husband would become very unstable on his feet and people would ask me if he had a drinking problem..he never drank, it was just another one of the horrors of PD.

Mr. Fox has been an advocate for stem cell research to try to find a cure for this debilitating, progressive neurologal disease. If you are trapped within a PD body you would do anything to try to find a cure..to offer a speck of hope. You cannot imagine how horrible this disease is. My husband was diagnosed with it in his early 60's but Mr. Fox is much younger and still wants a reasonable quality of life, perhaps a ray of hope. To say that Mr. Fox was putting on a performance for the camera is a sickening statement on your part and even die-hard Conservatives who are not immune to getting PD will not agree with your words.

I have been a life long Republican. Honestly, I must say your comments are completely out of line and very cruel.

The only good thing to come out of this is to make me wake up and realize what the Republican party truly stands for...something I want no part of.

You are an evil, vile and money hungry individual. I hope you wind up with Parkinsons in the near future so we can all comment on your acting abilities!
