Tru, I think Anna only has instinct for herself, it certainly hasn't seemed to work out for either of her kids - considering the circus the one kid went thru and now the second one she's putting the second kid through. She thinks of herself and her money only. She may love her children, but I don't think she knows what love truly is and doesn't realize that true love is not disposable.

678. Either motherly instinct or knowledge of facts regarding who supplied the drugs to Daniel that killed him, has kept Mom Anna seemingly unconcerned about further investigation into his death. She certainly does not share the same grief stricken passion that Daniel's grandmother feels, motivating Grandma Virgie to speak out and insist on further investigation (even if that passion makes her daughter, Anna, angry with her).

679. I think it is a bunch of bull$h*t. Their relationship has stood the test of time. What a joke that crap is! I believe that IF LB can prove he had an intimate relationship with ANS she should be forced to submit to the paternity test! I personally do not believe that will infringe on her civil rights. If LB is allowed to force a paternity test, (I do not believe) it will pave the way for any carckhead, stalker or maniac to stake a claim to the child. he can prove that they had an intimate relationship. To me it is as simple as that! Just shut up whining all over the television and get on with the test!
Let me ask this, who do they think is buying the story about their "long term intimate relationship". I know I sure as hell do not! In my neck of the woods when you have an intimate relationship with someone, you do not have sex with anyone else. Or go on vacation with them, like AND did with LB when they went to Australia. That makes HKS look like a true sleezeball, having his picture taken with ANS and LB. All while he is having an intimate relationship with ANS. Do they not realize there are pictures that condradict their own words? I guess ingorance is not biased. It affects every class and income level!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was reading with interest Patty`s"insomnia post" and something just hit me ...........On Larry King Live, Howie said Daniel knew the baby was Howard`s..........Okay.... then why did he say on ET they kept it from EVERYONE except Howard`s mother, father and sister????

I just want to put in something in case someone missed it.

Okay...........Anna says on ET that her first memory after Daniel died was being inside a BLACK car. If that were her first memory, it just seems like an odd choice of words to name the color of the car if she was on the inside.

681. Their relationship stood the test of time? Which one? The ethical one they were supposed to have or the unethical one they claim they had? There is not a real "relationship" here - ANS is led around by the nose, Daniel couldn't stand HKS, and the thought of ANS and HKS hooking up makes me physically ill.

I think the issue here IS the protection of the child. It's not just Howard and Anna running off to the Bahamas to have a child, they also lived in a million dollar mansion that they fraudulently took possession of, Anna's eldest son dies in her hotel room with 8 times the amount of drugs lethal to kill him. While he's laying in the morgue, and after testing was done, Anna Nicole chooses this time to illegally "marry" a lawyer (huh?), jump into the ocean with glee (so much for that c-section incision), then 2 days later goes back and buries her son. Oh and the person who designed her wedding dress also designed her mourning dress. Coincidence? She buries her son in the Bahamas where she does NOT have legal residency and she knows it (and wouldn't her husband/but not husband know it as well?), but where her less than wealthy family can see his body.

So, this parental thing between ANS and HKS is not just a case based on the civil rights of the parents. It's a case based upon the safety rights of the child. If Anna acted like June Cleaver that would be different, but June Cleaver she isn't. There are many suspicious circumstances that have to be investigated. The baby's civil rights will be PROTECTED if she's tested for drugs, neglect, etc., and no matter who gets custody of this baby, she's been brought into the rador of California Family Services. Hopefully, they will do the right thing.

You saw her snarled up face and the hatred she displayed on ET when talking about her mother........then if this supposive girlfriend of Daniels was the true cause of him being so depreased that he was taking multiple antidepressants then why not show at least a little bit of anger towards her instead of the totally flat emotion we saw both on her face as well as in her voice.

I think someone here mentioned the term for what you are describing, but applied to it both Anna and Howard - "complementary narcissism." It was the phrase used to classify ANS and HKS by the therapist on Nancy Grace's show the other night.

And I would agree with you that ANS' feelings are primarily for herself; however, to the best of her ability - and I know it's a stretch - she did seem to genuinely love Daniel. The best she knew how. I know I love my kids, too, but if I were someone else looking in on my relationship with any one of my kids on any given day, I know for a fact I would be criticized, too.

Maybe Anna loved her son the only way she knew how, based on the love she got growing up. I just cannot believe that she would be proven to be an unfit parent and that full custody would be given to Larry Birkhead. Maybe partial custody, who knows...

684. #684.The only reason ANS is showing signs of anger toward her mother is because, her mother is not afraid to call a spade a spade and tells it like it is. She truly believes someone intentionally gave Daniel those drugs and she has the guts to come forward and say so. It is making everyone question ANS and HKS's involvement in Daniel's death. And, that my friends scares ANS senseless! She is afraid that if her Mom keeps making such a fuss people and law enforcement will demand a thorough investigation into Daniel's death and if either one was involved, they go to prison like any other murderer would. I think the grandmother is doing the right thing. Hell Daniel's own MOTHER will not demand a thorough investigation. Someone has to stand up for Daniel.

685. Howard said on his first interview with Larry King that the money made from photos would be going to a trust they were establishing in Daniels name, The Daniel W Smith Charitable Foundation. Has anyone heard of this since? I sure did not hear it mentioned on ET...........did anyone hear them mention it on that show?? Why not take the opportunity on ET when millions were watching to reach out to the public for donations???

Howard on Larry did not mention a portion would go to this charity, leaving us to beleive ALL of it.

Now that is trashy!!!!!!!!!! It just proves further that ANS is all about ANS and no one else. Have you ever heard of anyone waiting to bury a loved one until they could have a custom dress made. That is the stupidest $hit I have ever heard. That kind of stuff does not even happen in Hollywood, with A-list stars...

Trimspa CEO Alex Goen said on Larry King just days after Daneils death that Howie and Anna would be comming back to the US at the end of the week............He did however state that everything was up in the air and chaging from day to day..........still that was back in September and no sign of them returning not even Howard to take care of business in the U.S. Why........what are they afraid of?? It isn`t like they are getting some huge welcoming in the Bahamas.

Anna could make so so much money on taking the DNA test. I bet it would be her most lucrative interview to date. There would be one heck of a bidding war going on if they shopped that one arround. Do not think for one minute that Anna and Howie are not aware of this.

690. Before ANS had her own reality show, she was a frequent guest on, 'Howard Stern's' radio show. HKS always accompanied Anna to the studio. When Howard questioned HKS on his relationship with Daniel, HKS said he takes care of Daniel's school business...corresponds with teachers...attends school functions...helps with his homework, because that is not ANS thing.
HKS has been a consistent (father type figure) in Daniels life since he was 8 years old.

HKS was born and raised in LA, CA. mainly a 'liberal' state. I can't see HKS, discriminating against a person who is homosexual. At least I don't want to believe that he could be that ignorant.
I understand that 'hate' does exist, but if HKS was so conservative, and guarding his image, then why would he hang around Anna Nicole Smith, for 12 years?

As I've mentioned before, I was born and raised in CA. I don't believe the majority of people that are native to the state, care what any body's (preference) is...whether it's religion...sex...etc...I found it to be a, to each their own and who cares mentality. I'm not trying to speak for anybody else, only for myself...my own experiences. That is my perspective based on my SF Bay Area...UC Berkeley background.
BTW...I'm NOT coming to HKS defense...NOT at all...FUG-GiD-A-BOUT-IT !
I also have not met a CA attorney that was 'homophobic,' or closed minded in any way...of course I DO NOT know EVERY CA attorney, but I do personally know many and I married one.

That was my take on Daniel being gay and HKS wanting to hold up his image.
Anyway, I thought ANS was bi-sexual, if this is true, HKS does not seem to have a problem with it.
But who knows...Patty your late night post is what got me to thinking, analyzing and dissecting this whole scenario....but, that's why we are all here, right?
OMG Patty, speaking of your post...your accident (by the way is not funny) was shocking to hear...I can't imagine what you and your family have been through. Thank God you survived.... your experience is an inspiring story of survival. Are you going to write a book? Your a great writer...and I believe your strength would inspire people that have experienced tragedy's in their life.
I hope your interviews went well...you have the right stuff to get any job that you want, there's no doubt !

TREE TREE ~ HKS said on Larry King that Anna dropped to her knees and hung on to Daniels legs in the hospital room after med techs stopped trying to revive him. He said that he and ANS continued trying to revive Daniel, obviously to no avail...that's when Anna began asking Jesus to take her instead of Daniel.
The next story reported was that ANS claims her first memory of Daniels death was being inside a black car.
BUT.....Anna said on the ET interview verbatim HKS words, 'Take me instead of Daniel.'
Did you catch that? Convenient memory loss? She did not forget and if she did...she just remembered. I don't buy the memory loss even though it is a horrible tragedy, I just do not believe her...she did NOT forget her sons death.
