Richie To Undergo Treatment

Nicole Richie has checked herself into a private facility for an undisclosed treatment. According to a statement from Richie's reps, published on E! News, "She is working with a team of doctors and specialists whose focus is nutrition..."

Nicole will undergo diagnostic treatments to determine why she can't gain weight. Recent photographs of Richie have created a buzz in Hollywood that she may have issues with food.

Nicole's reps say "this is not a treatment for an eating disorder." The reps add that Nicole wants to deal with her weight issues in the healthiest possible way.

Production on the current season of "The Simple Life" will be put on hold indefinitely.

49. To # 48 This IS a disease, just as drug addiction, anorexia, bulimia, binging and purging, and yes cancer. There are treatments for all of these DISEASES and severe consequences if they are not treated. People who do not understand how they work say "Oh it's just all in their head." Just like depression, these are real medical problems which can cause death if not treated in time. Don't believe me, well I don't really care, but just ask your doctor, he will tell you.

50. The road to recovery, has to start out with first admitting you have a problem. I think she skipped that step. It is evident that she has an eating disorder, so Nicole, admit it, and get the help.

Alcoholism, drug addiction and eating disorders are not diseases. Calling them diseases are just excuses for weak people. Your wrong.

I dont have sympathy for this person. Shes weak and dumb. She needs to be yelled at and re-educated. She does not need to be cured or told that she has a disease. She doesnt.

53. the "disease" she is suffering from is called......"CRACK" .nice try to cover it up, she is a walking skeleton for crying out loud.....hopefully she will get the help that she needs, and admitting what your real problem is, is your first step to recovery.

58. Nicole Ritchie began to lose weight when she bacame a celebrity from the Simple Life. She was constantly compared to Paris and it must of been very stressful. I believe her ex-boyfriend tried to help her but he was risking his own sobriety and had to walk away. We know she can gain weight, so I believe drugs are involved because she was in rehab in the past for heroin. Why she needs a team of doctors is beyond belief????? She is not suffering from a contagious disease that she has to be put in quarantine. That is the most rediculous thing I ever read. Try 30 days in isolation and lock down with no nightlife. That should cure her eating and drug problem!!!!!!!!!!

she was the 'fat' one...only weighing 120 !

all these Stalker sites and mags are the problem!
these girls do not do ANYTHING but go shopping and clubbing...but they are constantly in these stupid tabloids! How about covering REAL stars ???
