39. Actors and actresses are not role models. They are people who happen to star in films. There are plenty of people in the world who actually contribute to society to look up to. If your life is so sad that you have to look up to people in Hollywood as role models and worse yet, be dissapointed by them....then it's you that needs help, not them.

Kristie Alley rocks, fat or thin she has a great sense of humour and those dam pesky photographers i'd shoot them the finger too, she tells it how it is, and more actors should be more like her,,so what she gained some weight, at least she raised her own kids herself and didn't pawn them off on some nanny,like most...she was a stay at home mom and cooked her own meals,,screw looking rail thin like richie at least she isn't pale sick and thin....fat is in , now finally after 30 years being heavy isn't a bad thing anymore, the young girls show there rolls with their crop tops on with pride in my day you covered up and hid your body because society said yuk,,,well i salute these pple with a little meat on their bones,,not all skinny and sick,,being a big girl all my life I finally feel good about myself and am not ashamed to wear shorts after 30 years of wearing jeans thru the summer and sweating my ass off cuz ppl would say look at that big girl she should loose weight,,well now I say screw you all and I am what I am..thats it thats all..

And stop making "either/or" arguments: either Kirsten Alley OR Nicole Ritchie. There is A LOT of ROOM in between THOSE TWO EXTREMES.
TRY FIT or HEALTHY.

Neither Nicole Ritchie nor Kirsten Alley look HEALTHY, that's the whole point.

On the issue of "FAT PRIDE" --- you're ONLY STICKING IT TO YOURSELF. You're the one whose chances of numerous cardiovascular disorders and increased susceptability to certain chronic illnesses (including some forms of cancer) go up dramatically if you're fat

No one else cares whether you're wearing shorts or jeans, so your "fat pride" statements are lost on most.
