It's Official: Prince Sets Up Shop in Vegas

PrinceTMZ can now confirm the Internet rumors are true: Prince will be moving into the Rio hotel in Las Vegas.

Prince will play Friday and Saturday nights at 3121, the club formerly known as Club Rio, beginning Nov. 10. Tickets for Prince's shows will run $125. Shows on Wednesday night will feature guest performances by friends of Prince, while Thursday nights will be 3121 Latin Labido Night. Tickets for those two nights will be $31.21.

Instead of the $125 cover, patrons have the option of a special dinner and show package available for $312.10 per person: minimum of two guests; includes dinner at 3121 Jazz Cuisine, VIP tickets to the performance, and one bottle with table service per two guests.

In addition to the new club, a restaurant will open called 3121 Jazz Cuisine featuring a brand-new menu created by Executive Chef Lena Morgan.

A source also tells us that Prince is staying in the Palazzo Suites at the Rio -- the hotel's VIP suites and a favorite of stars like Elton John.

Tickets can be ordered at the Rio Box Office at 702-777-7776, at any Ticketmaster outlet or by visiting www.vegas.com. Tickets will go on sale this week.

16. WOW! I knew Prince was talented but that is unbelievable for one man! Thanks for the info Zoe. It's always good to learn something new every day, but boy that's amazing to me! 24 instruments?? I don't know of any other musician that can play so many. Think it's time for 'Prince who' to eat some crow.. One thing is for sure, on his old video from the beginning of the MTV days in the 80s (You know - when MTV WAS MTV ALL the time...) where he sings "Little Red Corvette",(My all time fav Prince song obviously - Lol) I could watch that over and over just to watch those awesome dance moves we can only hope to attempt! Have a good evening!

17. This comment is for Davey and Raymond: You two guys needs some serious help! You could of kept those comments to yourselves, and especially the one when Davey asked you about his PINK STINKY TADUNTADUN"S! At Romans 1:27 it states:" and likewise en the males left the natural use of the female and became violently inflamed in their lust toward one another, males ith males, working what is obscene and receiving in themselves the full recompense, which was due for their error.

18. Mandi - perhaps right in many cases, but can't say that hurt Wayne Newton one bit. A luxury suite, acts he chooses, performs himself a few nights, I don't think that Prince has it so bad at all. Easier on a body too than umpteen concerts in 72 days all over the nation as well. I do wish Prince well..Beyonce? Hmm.. not real sure about that but time will tell. Vegas really hasn't been bad to most who have ended up performing there any length of time. It's harder on us "poorer" folks to get out there and then to afford the show tickets.:::Sigh:::: someday..... .Speaking of which, have a great time next Friday Stephanie, from another "red head!" !! Request that he sing my song for me - loud enough to hear across the country!!! Lol

21. I lived in vegas 20 years and was there for the changes from old time crooners like frank sinatra and sammy davis, to all the mordern acts you can see there today. Vegas is the entertainment powerhouse of the world and certainly a man like Prince would want to spend some time there. The clubs in vegas tend to be for the young and scantilly clad wild; certainly if you are over 30 you just might feel out of place clubbing. With prince at the Rio, saturday night will also be for clubbing by the older crowd, who can dance and reminice to his older 80's music. Prince music won't attract many hip-hoppers, but there are enough 30-somethings and older in vegas on saturday nights who would like to party to the wee hours of the night like it is 1999 and not feel out of place rubbing shoulders on the dance floor next to some young kid whose music they know nothing about........

23. Worth every penny!
Especially to all of you that see lip-synched acts such as Jessica, Ashley, Hulks daughter (she does not sing!), Timberlake and all the rest of the new FAKE acts!
Prince is the real deal...

24. I have been a fan of his Purple Majesty since 1982 or so. I finally saw him in concert back in the mid 90's and it was truly an amazing, life changing experience. While I have not been as fond of some of his over the past 10 years, his latest, 3121, is good stuff. $125.00 is totally reasonable for a Vegas show, and a Prince show is easily worth twice that.....as long as it is Prince, playing all of his classics and the new stuff and really enjoying himself. If it turns out to be Prince doing a few songs and then just jamming with some friends, it will still be good, but not what people are paying for. So until people have seen the show and say different, I will highly recommend the $125.00 to see Prince perform his catalogue LIVE.

As for the Jessica person who decided to blaspheme the Bible and God above. If you were truly a Christian, you would love ALL people and would never spew hate. God Bless You.

26. To Jessica (15). Please get over it. They were screwing around. Sheesh everyone takes everything so literal here. As for the Prince tickets. I am not a fan of Prince. I am not saying that the man doesn't have talent, but I just don't see a reason to spend an outrageous amount of money per person to see him. I don't think I would spend that much on anyone!

28. Hey, Jessica. While I agree with your comment that Raymond & Davy's comments fall in the TMI category ... I disagree with your propagation of biblical fairy tales. People are who they are ... get over yourself and your judgments. No one wants to hear those either. Not everyone believes the same way you do ... nor do they have to.
