Three of Hollywood's A-list boriquas were out and about in New York in preparation for Thursday's Latin Grammy Awards.
Happily married Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony helped honor fellow cantante Ricky Martin, as the Latin Recording Academy's Person of the Year. The sexy bon-bon shaker was given the prestigious honor on Wednesday in recognition of his showmanship and passionate humanitarian efforts.
Always the fashion-forward trendsetter, J.Lo was decked out in a voluminous red mini-dress that, although it was no green Versace, did its fair share to make sure the pop diva was well, er, exposed.
The 7th Annual Latin Grammy Awards airs tonight on Univision, and features performances by Andrea Bocelli, Shakira and el hombre de la hora, Ricky Martin.

J. Lo has always sort of reminded me of just another 'common' street Hispanic typically living in either Mexico or Puerto Rico, who never had a whole lot of class to begin with - her claim to fame was having landed the lead role in "Serena" where she simply transformed herself naturally by portraying a Mexican. Given the many past successful years that her career has bestowed upon her, she still continues to speak English somewhat like a Mexican. I will admit, however, she has done a remarkable job, in at least improving upon her Latino physical appearance from the early days (think M.J.) by trying to look more mainstream when crossing over to American tastes, no doubt a major contribution to her fame here. I still don't understand why many of these tremendously successful minority celebrities always try and [alter] their natural ethnic heritage by continuing to make themselves over to be Caucasian-like. BTW - before anybody flames me here, I actually really do appreciate J. Lo as an an accomplished artist!

Most people agree that wearing fur is wrong. Please don't support Jennifer Lopez or her bloody business. Many hot designers, including Stella McCartney, Vivienne Westwood, Todd Oldham, Marc Bouwer, and others have turned their backs on fur and created synthetic alternatives that are hip, humane, and easily available and don't turn animals into fashion victims.
Write to J. Lo and tell her that promoting the violence of the fur industry is a low-down, dirty, rotten shame.
